The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system
Chapter 385 - 385 The mysteries of his wife

385: The mysteries of his wife.

385: The mysteries of his wife.

For a few seconds, it was awfully quiet in the room.

Out of nowhere, Mo Sen suddenly punched third knife across the jaw, breaking the silence as well.

“What a load of bullshit, the young madam has only had one physical interaction with Lai Yanfang.

I should have known better than to present you before our young master knowing fully well that people like you cannot be trusted.”  Mo Sen then bowed and looked apologetically at Caishen.

“Young master, i will get rid of him right away.”  “That will not be necessary Mo Sen.” Caishen responded.

He tilted his head slightly to the right and commanded, “Leave us.”  All the other bodyguards moved their feet, turning around and leaving the room.

Mo Sen however stayed behind stubbornly.

He would only leave if Caishen mention his name specifically.

Other than that, he would not willingly leave his boss with a common thieving thug.

Third knife in the meantime picked himself up from the ground and he stood upright.

“I could use a chair.”  Mo Sen hissed and clenched his right hand fist, ready to swing it again.

Third knife brazenly picked up Caishen’s white silk handkerchief that was resting on top of a white tissue that was sitting on a silver tray.

He used the handkerchief to wipe his face, clearing away most of the blood, sweat and dirt he had brought along with him.

He tossed the handkerchief down carelessly and then sat down nonchalantly.

He picked up a glass of whiskey that was sitting on the table and gulped it down.

Obviously, it was Caishen’s whiskey since this was his hotel room.

Mo Sen was enraged all the more and he desperately wanted to do something about the situation.

Caishen on the other hand didn’t react.

Either Third knife was as vulgar as he was trying to appear or he was trying to get a rise out of him.

Either way, he didn’t intend to satisfy the man by reacting, so he stared ay him with a neutral expression on his face.

“I knew that mentioning your wife would be the key to getting your attention.” Caishen tapped his thumbs together and refused to admit to the fact that he was truly interested in unveiling the mysteries of his wife.

Mo Sen grabbed third knife by the collar of his shirt and said through gritted teeth, “If you are lying to us….” Third knife waved his hand dismissively and said, “Yeah, yeah, tongue pulling, shoving a stick up my ass and blah blah blah.., i have heard all your threats and yet i am still here.

Surely a man like me knows better than to mess around with the second young master of the Zhang group.

It is my hope of course that you will be true to your words and allow me work for your wife.” Caishen didn’t respond verbally, but his eyes, their coldness and sternness spoke volumes.

Third knife picked up the empty whiskey glass and looked at Mo Sen.

“I could use more of this stuff.

The expensive alcohol always tastes better than the cheap crappy stuff.”  “Hey you thug…” Mo Sen barked.

He swelled like a cobra that was about to spit venom.

All the veins on the sides of his temples were throbbing.

Third knife was getting on his last nerves.

“That is enough.” Caishen said softly.

Third knife chortled, raised his hands to gesture that he was backing down and he put the glass where it had been.

Caishen said to him, “I am not a very patient man, you can play all the games you want but if i run out of patience i am sure that i could think of ways to make your life more miserable than you can imagine.”  “You have money soi don’t doubt that.” Third knife replied.

“I have no intentions of pushing your buttons or playing games.

I just really wanted some whiskey.

But, i will tell you why i mentioned your wife, and it is my hope that you will be a man true to your word as your great grandfather Zhang Zhongguo.”  “Hmph.” Mo Sen sneered.

“First the young madam and now…” Third knife ignored Mo Sen and he went on with his undefined explanation.

It was undefined because Caishen couldn’t deduce where it was heading.

“Your great-grandfather is a famous entrepreneur in the country, one of the men that contributed to the reviving of the country’s economy after a depression.

Of course, i don’t have to tell you all about him because he is your grandfather so you obviously know more about him than i do.

The reason why i am mentioning him is because he said the word of a man is his value.

We built the Red eagles gang on those words, those principles.

I am third knife, there used to be two knives and one knife.

We three brothers could always rely on each other, our word was our value and our life.

Back then, we were not grave robbers and we certainly never killed.” “Tch!” Mo Sen smirked.

Third Knife shrugged and he shook his head.

“We were thieves but we stole from the living.

We would also fake different paintings and artifacts then pass them off as the real thing.

One knife was the painter and artisan.

He was the one with the talent, while two knives was the smart one.

He would find the buyers and do all the negotiations.

And me, i was the brawn or muscle of our little gang.

If someone tried to be smart and stiff us on payment, i made sure they paid.”  “Wow, what a trio of virtuous brothers you all are.”  This comment was made by Mo Sen who couldn’t help himself.

The more that third knife talked, the more agitated he seemed to become.

Just when was he getting to the part about the young madam?

“I have not claimed righteousness here, we were not good people and we never pretended to.

When you grow up on the streets, eating left overs and fighting with dogs for bones of half rotten meat, you learn that good or bad doesn’t matter.

Survival is what’s important so we survived.”  He spoke slowly, his voice coming out as if it was from far away.

Third knife was lost in the memories of the good old days.

The days when he wasn’t the only one left alive.

His hand reached out for the empty whiskey glass unconsciously, forgetting that it was empty.

He touched the rim with his bruised right hand and smiled wryly.

“I should state it better.

We were surviving pretty well until she came along, the queen, that woman, Lai Yanfang.”
