Chapter 90: Chapter 90 Your Master’s Butt Is Really Warm (Extra Chapter)
"I vote for Player 3."
Liu Zheng said.
To be honest, he didn’t really trust any of the four Prophets.
Player 1 was out of the question, even if he were the true Prophet, he was a wolf’s prophet, and killing him settled the matter.
There were more or less problems with the statements from Players 11, 3, and 9.
Among them, the statement from Player 9, the Prophet, had the biggest problems.
Although there was talk of psychic investigations, it was Player 12 who claimed the role of the witch first.
It’s only the first round, and the witch must have at least one potion in her possession.
You reveal a witch with potions in the first round, who among the good folks would dare to follow your vote?
Even if another witch claimed the role later on, that was for them to sort out among themselves.
So, Liu Zheng wouldn’t vote for him either.
As for Players 11 and 3, their statements were pretty similar and both had some issues.
However, the act of Player 12, the fake witch, trying to lead the vote to Player 11 didn’t sit quite right with him, so Liu Zheng still voted for Player 3.
"The voting is complete, Player 3 has been elected sheriff."
"Last night was a peaceful night. Sheriff, please choose the order of speaking for this round."
A gilded sheriff’s badge appeared on Player 3’s chest.
"120 seconds until the acid rain falls."
Player 3 chose to speak in clockwise order.
"Player 4, please speak."
"There’s nothing much to say, let’s not waste time, just vote out Player 1 unanimously."
"Player 5, please speak."
"The same as above."
"The same as above."
...
The statements that followed were all very uniform.
With time being critical, anyone dragging out time was a wolf.
That continued until Player 1 had his turn to speak.
"I’m a civilian, pretending to be a Prophet was just to bluff about my identity. I didn’t step down because after all, it’s just one vote, and Player 8 wouldn’t vote for me anyway. Go ahead and vote me out, I’ve finished speaking."
The statement of Player 1 was unexpectedly brief, and his will to survive didn’t seem too strong.
This slightly pulled him back from being classified with the wolf camp.
Player 2 didn’t say much either, and it quickly came around to the sheriff, Player 3, to sum up.
"There was peace last night, so tonight I will surely die. Regardless of whether the badge is passed on or not, I will still check Player 6. Players 9 and 11 have yet to reveal their identities. Player 12, if you’re the true witch, then poison Player 9 tonight because he’s predicting your execution anyway. I’ll cast my vote for Player 1."
"Everyone has finished speaking, let’s begin the execution vote."
The voting result was very uniform; everyone voted unanimously to execute Player 1, including Player 1 himself.
"Player 1 has been executed."
As soon as the words fell, a rope snared around Player 1’s neck.
A gallows appeared out of nowhere, hoisting Player 1 high in the air.
Player 1 struggled desperately, with an expression of genuine pain.
But the others weren’t in a mood to appreciate the scene.
Because the acid rain was about to fall.
All the players scrambled like startled animals, running towards buildings in the village.
Liu Zheng had set his sights on a two-story building, but Player 6 had dashed into it first.
He tried pushing the door, but a force rebounded from it.
Clearly, this was a reminder of the game’s rules: only one person could occupy a building.
With no other choice, Liu Zheng had to run towards a nearby barn.
Before entering the barn, he had a flash of inspiration and grabbed a large rooster that was passing by.
Sure enough, the animals in the village weren’t restricted and entered the barn with him.
Liu Zheng didn’t have time to observe the interior of the barn; instead, he immediately lay down by the window to look outside.
The acid rain had started to fall.
The murky rain poured down like a waterfall, shrouding the entire village in veils of rain.
A faint glow surrounded all buildings, keeping the rain at bay.
But the areas without the shelter of any building suffered terribly.
In virtually an instant, Player 1 was eroded into bones by the acid rain, and soon even the bones were carbonized.
It was hard to say whether he was hanged or burned to death by the acid rain.
The gallows quickly turned to ashes under the acid rain, and the ground was eroded into a pitted landscape.
Only that statue remained standing firm, looking even cleaner than before.
"There’s definitely something off about that statue," Liu Zheng reflected.
This Werewolf game was clearly not just a simple speaking game.
To win the game, maybe one could find leverage elsewhere.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t recognize the characters inscribed on it and therefore had no way of knowing the person’s identity.
"Cluck cluck cluck."
The big rooster in Liu Zheng’s hands crowed as if quite unhappy with being carried around.
"Shut it, if it wasn’t for me bringing you in here, you wouldn’t have a feather left now," he said irritably.
"Now, at least you can stay alive until I feel like eating you."
If the timescale of this Werewolf survival game was similar to reality, Liu Zheng would have to stay in this game world for several days, which meant that the chicken was his backup food supply.
Moreover, there were no villagers in the village, but there were so many poultry and livestock, which certainly wasn’t meaningless.
"What gives you the right to eat me if you’re not my master?"
The rooster retorted.
"Oh, you can actually speak."
Liu Zheng’s eyes lit up, and he placed it on the ground.
The rooster started grooming its ruffled feathers.
"Hey, do you have a name?"
He asked.
"Why would a chicken have a name?"
The rooster looked up at him, puzzled.
"Why can’t a chicken have a name? I know a chicken with a name, and it’s quite a powerful one, named Napoleon."
Liu Zheng said.
"Who is Napoleon, and what does powerful mean?"
"Napoleon was the name of an emperor, and powerful means impressive."
He replied.
"Is an emperor impressive? More impressive than my master?"
The rooster asked.
"Who is your master?"
"My master is the carpenter in the village."
"Well, Napoleon is probably ten thousand times more impressive than your master."
Liu Zheng gave a conservative estimate.
"Ko-ko-ko! That really is impressive. Then I want a name too, one even more impressive than Napoleon."
The rooster said excitedly.
"A name more impressive than Napoleon..."
Many great or evil names flashed through Liu Zheng’s mind for a moment.
But considering content review issues, he discarded them one by one.
"Then you’ll be called Emperor Qin Shihuang."
In terms of geographic shape, it was appropriate for a chicken to be called Emperor Qin Shihuang.
"Ko-ko-ko! I am a chicken with a name, my name is Emperor Qin Shihuang, so powerful!"
The rooster excitedly flapped its wings, thrashing about and scattering feathers everywhere.
"Alright, alright, calm down."
Liu Zheng said with disdain.
"Oh."
The rooster stopped flapping about.
It opened its mouth ready to crow.
"Cry out again and I’ll stew you."
He said with a menacing look.
"You’re not my master, what right do you have to stew me?"
The rooster was unimpressed.
"I just gave you a name, doesn’t that make me your master?"
"No, you’re just a friend. The one who hatched me is my master."
The rooster stated solemnly.
"Then, your master’s butt must be quite warm."
"Exactly. My master’s butt is the warmest in the whole village."
The rooster nodded.
"How do you know that? What if someone else’s butt is warmer?"
Liu Zheng had no idea what he was saying anymore.
But that wasn’t important, as long as he could get some information.
"Because the others all failed to hatch eggs, only I was hatched by my master, that’s why I can talk."
The rooster said.
"Eh?"
Then, he must be quite lucky, having picked up the only talking chicken by chance.
Could it have been some behind-the-scenes manipulation by the front desk?
"Do you think you’re lucky? I deliberately ran in front of you to be caught. You have the scent of my kind on you,"
The rooster glanced at him and said.
"Ah, that makes sense."
Liu Zheng shrugged.
What it referred to as its kind must be the White Feather Chicken.
"So, Emperor Qin Shihuang, I saved your life; shouldn’t you repay me now?"
"I don’t want to be eaten by you."
"I won’t eat you. First, tell me, who is that statue in the square?"
He asked.
