Chapter 62 Insecticide
Chapter 62: Chapter 62 Insecticide
The leaders who were in the meeting stopped talking.
They stared at Liu Zheng, who had burst through the door, in astonishment.
And Liu Zheng was even more astonished than they were, for all these leaders were insects.
Shovel-shaped insects, Silkworm Moths, cockroaches, mosquitos, dung beetles...
Harmful, beneficial, domesticated, wild, those that ate dung and those that did not.
"Who is Manager Wang?"
He came to his senses and shouted loudly.
No insect answered, but all their gazes instinctively turned toward one of them.
The one that was making grand gestures towards the PPT.
It was a King Isopod.
"Who are you?"
Manager Wang asked.
"Since you ask so sincerely, I shall benevolently tell you."
Liu Zheng said as he walked forward.
"I’m Niu Ma."
When he was within a step’s reach, he suddenly pounced.
Manager Wang was caught off guard and got hugged by him.
"I was here to read the PPT, what are you doing?!"
It yelled as it struggled.
Its strength was enormous, Liu Zheng felt as if he was holding onto a car.
"Shut up!"
He wrapped three of his tentacles around Manager Wang, while the remaining one grabbed its antenna and yanked hard.
"Pssht!"
A stream of pale purple blood jetted out.
The true damage effect of the Legendary Armor was exceptional.
"Ah!"
Manager Wang let out a piercing scream.
It struggled even harder, its four pairs of jointed limbs bursting through its suit, thrusting forward violently.
The chitinized exoskeleton did not help Liu Zheng much, his chest and abdomen were pierced through, and the barbed jointed limbs hooked directly onto his bones.
However, this was exactly what he wanted.
"Good job, well done indeed."
Liu Zheng laughed maniacally, holding Manager Wang tightly in his embrace.
Then, in a posture like a rugby player, he flew out of the conference room.
"Ah, ah, ah!"
Exposed to the sunlight streaming in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, Manager Wang grew even more frantic.
The suit on its back was torn apart, revealing a calcareous exoskeleton.
Then, with a fierce tear, it actually ripped Liu Zheng’s upper body in half.
But, that was as far as it could go.
"Do you have any idea how much this hurts?"
He complained through gritted teeth.
Three tentacles fumbled to stuff his organs back in place, then he struggled to tie both halves of his body together.
The other tentacle, holding an insecticide can, pressed it against Manager Wang’s compound eyes.
"I asked you a question, do you know or not?"
Liu Zheng smacked Manager Wang’s face.
"Brother, let’s talk this out, please put down the insecticide."
Manager Wang said tremblingly, its voice sounding strange, as if echoing from the deep sea.
"Thinks I’m an idiot."
Liu Zheng kicked Manager Wang’s lower limbs, making it stumble.
"Oh, pretty tough."
He kicked several more times, aiming at the reverse joints, and finally broke them off.
Manager Wang, having lost its balance, fell to its knees with a thud.
"Huh?"
Liu Zheng noticed that its body seemed to have shrunk.
Could this be why fights had to be public?
He unceremoniously broke another one of Manager Wang’s legs.
Then, the King Isopod’s size shrank down another notch.
"How interesting."
Liu Zheng laughed heartily, pulling Manager Wang’s limbs off one by one.
After he smashed its back shell as well, Manager Wang was only the size of a palm.
"Here’s your delivery, please sign for it."
Liu Zheng took out the Wood Elf’s milk, saying politely.
"I, I can’t sign for it either."
The half-dead Manager Wang on the ground said.
"No worries, I’ll help you."
Liu Zheng, holding onto it, used its body as a pen and its blood as ink to write down the three characters of Manager Wang on the delivery note.
Though it wasn’t said that a signature had to be done this way, Life always needs a little ceremony, doesn’t it?
"Can we call it a day now?"
This time, Manager Wang was nearly entirely dead.
He glanced at the conference room. The insects inside hadn’t chased after him but were standing at the door, watching.
Their expressions were complex, some dissatisfied, some happy, some wary.
"What are you looking at? Even spectating comes with a fee."
Liu Zheng walked over and closed the conference room door.
He stood at the doorway for a moment, then carried Manager Wang over to Wang Manni’s side.
"He’s dead. Can you get promoted to manager?"
Liu Zheng whispered.
Upon hearing his words, Wang Manni’s pupils shook.
She looked at the King Isopod fearfully, yet ambition ignited in her eyes uncontrollably.
A moment later, she nodded slightly.
"Bitch!"
Manager Wang seemed to understand something and cursed loudly.
But he only managed to swear once before Liu Zheng smashed his mouthparts.
"I also need your delivery bag."
Wang Manni’s face paled for an instant, but her gaze grew firmer.
"Fine, here you go."
Without hesitation, Liu Zheng handed her the delivery bag.
"Here’s my personal number."
Wang Manni recited a series of digits, emphasizing the word "personal."
He smiled broadly.
"One day, maybe there won’t be such a day."
"I might make that call."
"But until the day that phone rings, please accept this cake."
Liu Zheng took out a coconut lotus seed paste cake and handed it to Wang Manni.
"As a gift for your promotion."
Pressed down hard, the insecticide nozzle sprayed an excessive amount, and the King Isopod dissolved into a pool of pus and blood.
He tossed the empty can aside, leaving a trail of blood as he walked out of Office 403.
Wang Manni watched him leave, then tore off the paper bag from her head.
Underneath the bag, there was nothing.
Fumbling around, she placed the delivery bag around her neck.
Blood-red irises bloomed on her newly grown face.
And somehow, Wang Manni’s arms had turned into segmented limbs.

"I’m back."
Liu Zheng walked into the lounge.
"Are you sick or something? Why the hell did you buy so much coffee and cake? I nearly killed myself carrying all of it," Niu Ma cursed as soon as he saw him.
"It’s because you told me to also give some to the kitchen staff. Once you deliver, you deliver to all, otherwise it’s like offending people," Liu Zheng defended himself.
"You do have a lot of sly moves. Burp~"
Niu Ma let out a loud belch.
"Did you eat the delivery guy from Unlucky Coffee?"
He said speechlessly.
"Nonsense, why wouldn’t I eat what’s delivered to the door? Didn’t expect Unlucky Coffee’s employee to taste so good, not worse than their coffee," Niu Ma said with a grin.
"Do you have any idea, you just ate up 1,200 of my money?"
Liu Zheng said with hollow eyes.
"I already paid for it, not eating would be an even bigger waste," Niu Ma argued confidently.
"Besides, I didn’t eat your food for nothing. Here."
He tossed a boning knife to Liu Zheng.
He caught it steadily and then looked at its description.
"Name: Picky"
"Type: Equipment"
"Quality: Fine"
"Effect: When hitting the target, causes additional damage based on the food grade of the target."
"Note: Such a good back, it would be a shame not to make it into a loin."
"Can it be taken out of the instance: Yes"
The blade was about four fingers long, narrow at the top and wider at the bottom, the edge shining bright as snow, causing Liu Zheng’s eyes to ache slightly.
"Where’d you get it?"
He asked.
"Didn’t you want to take a sick leave? So I borrowed this knife from Napoleon for you to defend yourself," Niu Ma said. "Take good care of it. If you lose it, you might as well die out there, otherwise Napoleon will still kill you when you come back. Burp~"
Niu Ma belched again, clearly still relishing the delivery guy from Unlucky Coffee.
"Thanks. By the way, big guy, can I make another trip to the kitchen?"
Liu Zheng asked after putting away the boning knife.
"What for?"
Niu Ma became alert.
