Chapter 609: After modification: Chapter 450 Metropolis Edition Crotch Hidden Thunder_2
"Ah!"
With a sudden scream, a barely-clad woman emerged from the darkness.
She was tall and slender, her jet-black hair flowing down to her waist. Her skin was milky white and flawless, yet her well-defined muscles showcased an exquisite blend of aesthetic and physical power.
However, at the moment, she appeared extremely disheveled.
Her already precarious clothing was now in tatters, revealing several fresh scrapes across her body.
"Oh my, not bad at all. This might be better than visiting a pleasure house. How about keeping me company for a bit?"
Niu Ma whistled lecherously.
"Boss, if you’re this carefree, aren’t you afraid your wife will make you kneel on a washboard?"
Liu Zheng remarked disdainfully.
"Wouldn’t dare! My status in the household—humph, let me tell you—it’s summed up in four words: do whatever I want."
Niu Ma raised a hoof triumphantly.
"Four words? Where?"
Liu Zheng squinted mockingly.
"None of your business. Besides, I’m just playing around outside; my heart is always with my wife. And you—with your army of harems—how do you even split your attention into eight pieces? Yet you’re critiquing me?"
Niu Ma rolled his large eyes.
"That’s different. I never got... you know, ’deeply involved’ with them. Actually, we’re just friends; there’s no harem business happening."
Liu Zheng argued defensively.
"How would I know whether you’ve had ’deep contact’ or not? It’s not like you have a palace guard mark on you."
"Wow, I can’t believe you know about palace guard marks."
Liu Zheng exclaimed in surprise.
"Don’t think you’re the only one cultured around here. I also dabble in plenty of literary works, okay?"
Niu Ma replied smugly.
"Literary works? Who are you kidding? Palace guard marks clearly come from sketchy novels or something."
Liu Zheng scoffed at him.
"Are all Bloody Restaurant folks this rude?"
The woman, after being ignored for so long, finally couldn’t hold back.
"Oh, crap, almost forgot about you."
Under the moonlight, Liu Zheng examined her features.
"Hey, aren’t you the boss of those Black Armor guys?"
Liu Zheng immediately recognized her face.
"Black Armor? We’re Dark Elves."
The woman corrected indignantly.
"Same difference. The Wood Elf royal family’s corpse has already been digested—why are you still tailing me, sneaking around like a ghost?"
He questioned.
"You have yet to fulfill your promise."
The woman replied.
"I said I’d take you along *if* I were heading to Great Jiang Mountain. Right now, I haven’t gone, have I? If you can’t wait, just contact the Ga Ga Shuang Bathhouse on Bathhouse Street, drop my name—it’s a sure thing. Might even get a free fruit basket."
Liu Zheng joked, half-serious.
"When will you go?"
The woman asked.
"Hard to say, but probably in a few days."
A trip to the Ten Thousand Great Mountains would undoubtedly take a long time—he was definitely cashing in his sick leave for this. He carefully planned his itinerary.
If possible, Liu Zheng preferred to go while still delivering orders.
After all, without the stat boosts and true damage from Legendary Armor, his raw strength had been significantly weakened.
Speaking of which, if the Legendary delivery man’s watch and underwear each had their respective functions, there must also be items capable of force-activating the Legendary Set effects, right?
"I don’t trust you, unless you sign a Blood Contract with me."
The woman insisted.
"Contracts again? Nope, not happening. Believe me or don’t."
He refused without hesitation.
"Besides, you seem to have misunderstood the situation here. Right now, you’re the one who’s... "
"Ahem."
Niu Ma coughed heavily.
"...the one who’s been discovered by the dashingly handsome, impossibly majestic Niu Ma himself. Instead of begging for mercy—pleading with me to spare you, the formidable and multi-talented Niu Ma—you’re here making demands? Someone’s itching for trouble."
Liu Zheng continued as he caught on.
"Mm~"
Niu Ma nodded his huge head approvingly.
"Thinking a Dark Elf can linger at midnight... what a naive notion."
The woman sneered coldly.
She suddenly pulled up her loincloth and reached inside.
"Whoa, whoa!"
Niu Ma gasped, his eyes widening.
"Seduction tactic, is it? Let me tell you—upright gentlemen like me won’t fall for such tricks."
Liu Zheng declared, his face serious, his gaze unwavering.
"Seduction? The beauty of a Yaksha belongs solely to the great Bloodhand Kane. You lowly mortals profaning it with a single glance is blasphemy."
The woman retorted icily.
"I’d advise against such language. I don’t mind it, but my boss might find it even... more exciting."
He warned kindly.
Glancing back, sure enough, Niu Ma’s nostrils were flaring, spewing hot air.
"Pathetic creatures."
The woman scoffed contemptuously, pulling out a black dagger shaped like claws from down below.
"Damn, that’s badass."
Liu Zheng said, genuinely shocked.
This reminded him of a movie he’d seen. In a courtroom drama, the male lead asked the female lead how she planned to escape after killing everyone unarmed. She suddenly pulled out a knife. It was baffling, given her skimpy attire. When he stared at her in confusion, she smirked mischievously, and his dawning realization of "Oh..." had cracked him up.
Who knew he’d witness a similar gag happen in real life. Truly, Metropolis lived up to expectations.
"Blood Claws."
The woman swung the dagger, releasing drops of blood from its tip, which morphed into two monstrous claws lunging toward the duo.
Niu Ma stood motionless, letting the claws strike his head—only for them to shatter, dispersing into a mist of blood.
Liu Zheng, meanwhile, swung his Slaughter Knife, slicing the claws into two halves before they could hit the ground, where they disintegrated into pools of blood.
"That’s it?"
He flicked the remaining blood off his blade and scoffed.
"Blood Arrow."
The woman, unfazed, cast another spell.
The pools of blood reformed, hurling themselves like arrows toward Niu Ma and Liu Zheng.
The two were ready for this, effortlessly countering the attack once more.
"If that’s the extent of your tricks, you might as well surrender now. Considering neither side has suffered casualties, just reimburse us for some grooming and Spirit damages, and we’ll generously let you off the hook."
Liu Zheng suggested.
Better to resolve conflicts peacefully than escalate. Judging by the Black Armor crew’s strength, these Dark Elves weren’t pushovers—it’d be wise not to provoke unnecessary grudges.
"You mean let you off the hook."
Niu Ma corrected.
"Right. We’ll generously let you off the hook."
Liu Zheng agreed immediately.
"Two idiots. Did you really think I wanted to tangle with you?"
The woman’s voice came from afar.
"Huh?"
Niu Ma suddenly sprinted, appearing before the woman, and kicked her into a burst of blood mist.
"I’ll keep an eye on you, human. You’d better fulfill your promises soon."
Her voice faded with every word, eventually disappearing entirely.
"Damn it, that pesky wench slipped away."
Niu Ma grumbled irritably.
"With your power, Boss, you let her get away? Seems she’s not weak."
Liu Zheng remarked.
"You know what they say: specialized expertise. My prowess doesn’t extend to tracking and stealth, so not catching her is understandable."
Niu Ma admitted, rare self-awareness showing.
"Still, that gal definitely has skills. Where’d you drag her up from?"
He asked Liu Zheng.
"Oh, they’re the group trying to swipe the Wood Elf royal family’s corpse. To distract me, they went out of their way to order takeout. Didn’t realize I was on vacation—wasted effort."
Liu Zheng explained.
"That explains the sudden Old City District delivery. Normally, it’s one order every ten days, tops."
"These guys have quite a setup. Their store’s in the prime location at the Slave Market, and it’s pretty huge. But the guy meeting me placed the order at the entrance—I never got to peek inside."
Niu Ma sighed in wistful regret.
While Slave Market slaves hadn’t been refined through brothel training and would obviously lack service polish, their rawness certainly carried its own charm.
"You’ll get your chance."
Liu Zheng reassured him.
Next time he spotted Dark Elves tailing him, they’d either politely invite him inside as guests, or he’d bring Niu Ma along to storm their place instead.
"Damn it, another fight for nothing. Exhausting."
Niu Ma cursed irritably.
"Boss, don’t stress. When we get back, I’ll give you a good massage."
Liu Zheng coaxed.
"Hmph, now that’s more like it."
Man and beast walked side by side, heading toward Bloody Restaurant under the blood-drenched moonlight.
