The world has turned into Hell's Game, why should I stay human? -
Chapter 374 - 336: If it’s Zheng Chan, she would stay spirited even after a dozen times.
Chapter 374: Chapter 336: If it’s Zheng Chan, she would stay spirited even after a dozen times.
"I’ll take a combo ticket and also a private cabinet,"
Liu Zheng exclaimed as soon as he entered the bathhouse.
"Zheng Chan, welcome,"
Jinzi came running over cheerfully.
"Haven’t seen you for a few days, yet Jinzi-chan is still so full of energy,"
he said, looking at the pert movements of her chest.
"Because it’s Zheng Chan, seeing you naturally energizes me,"
Jinzi spoke while playing with her fingers, her head bowed.
Despite being a mature beauty, she struck a pose like a current high school girl, and it wasn’t out of place at all.
"How energized are you?"
Liu Zheng asked with a meaningful look.
"Energized enough to do it a dozen times or so,"
her fingers traced along the lines of his vest, the cool sensation piercing through the fabric to stimulate his nerves.
"Let’s skip that, after a dozen baths my skin would turn to mush,"
Liu Zheng stretched lazily, seamlessly dodging Jinzi’s flirtation.
"Hehe."
Jinzi went back behind the counter and brought out a pair of slippers.
She knelt in front of Liu Zheng and respectfully wiped his feet with the hem of her garment.
"These are genuine ancient-method, hand-crafted leather slippers I bought from the Skin Ghoul’s store, they were quite expensive,"
she explained while slipping the slippers onto his feet.
And honestly, they felt great underfoot, like a cat kneading on milk.
"Don’t worry, they are definitely not made of human skin,"
Jinzi added, as if aware of what he was thinking.
"And this bathrobe, I went to the Weaver Spider’s tailor shop to get it especially for you, Zheng Chan,"
she said, and then brought out a white silk bathrobe from behind the counter.
"It’s not from that Box Weaver’s shop, is it?"
Liu Zheng inquired.
"Does Zheng Chan often buy clothes from there?"
Jinzi asked in surprise.
"Not often, just been there once. But the style of weave looks similar,"
he replied.
"Zheng Chan truly has a keen eye,"
Jinzi said admiringly.
Since he hadn’t bathed yet and could not change, Liu Zheng just took the bathrobe and tucked it under his arm.
"With Jinzi-chan putting in so much effort, there must be something you’re eager to discuss with me, right?"
he said with a smile.
"Zheng Chan is so clever, you guessed right,"
Jinzi replied, looking up at him with an adoring gaze.
"Haha, just a bit, just a little smarter than my boss Niu Ma,"
Liu Zheng touched his neck as he spoke.
"..."
So, Niu Ma became the measurement unit for intelligence?
Jinzi didn’t quite know what to say for a moment, as she was well acquainted with Niu Ma and knew his personality.
If Niu Ma found out she had played along in badmouthing him, he would undoubtedly come knocking on her door looking for trouble.
It was surprising that someone with Niu Ma’s temper would allow his subordinate to blacken his name without being sent to work in the kitchen.
It must mean either their relationship was extraordinary, or this human truly had an exceptionally powerful background.
With that thought, she grew even more resolute.
"So, what is it that Jinzi-chan wants to talk to me about? Just to be clear, I have plenty of time today,"
Liu Zheng said, looking intently into her eyes.
"Since that’s the case, you should first soak in a good bath and have a massage, and then I’ll arrange a table of top-notch cuisine for us to slowly enjoy and chat over,"
Jinzi said, licking her lips as she mentioned eating.
"Won’t you bath me yourself?"
He smirked suggestively.
"That won’t do, that’s someone else’s job. But don’t worry, it will definitely satisfy Zheng Chan,"
Jinzi said, while leading him by the hand towards the men’s changing room entrance.
"Oh, by the way, are those guys from the Extreme Flavors Group around?"
Liu Zheng asked.
"They’re not here. But I can call them now to let them know you’re here,"
Jinzi replied.
"Hmm."
He nodded, then lifted the curtain.
"Oh, one more thing, Zheng Chan,"
Jinzi tugged at his sleeve.
"What is it?"
Liu Zheng turned to ask her.
Jinzi’s gaze lingered on his vest and the medals and pins on his chest before finally settling on his face.
"Make sure to pray to the God with sincerity later on; surely something good will happen,"
she said earnestly, as though making a firm decision.
"How sincere should I be?"
Liu Zheng asked in return.
"As sincere as you can be; Kamisama will not let down a devout follower,"
Jinzi said.
"Alright, got it,"
he nodded.
"Then, I wish you a pleasant soak,"
Jinzi released his sleeve and bowed as she backed away.
Liu Zheng gave her a deep look and then entered the men’s changing room.
After showering and changing, he walked into the men’s bathing area.
It must be said, the bathrobe Jinzi had bought him was indeed nice; it was smooth like silk on the skin and as comfortable as cotton.
He’ll have to buy a few more sets later for the novelist and the ama (sea woman), and bring them to the Jidao Public Bath for a soak.
Hmm, better leave out Fei Shibu.
The image of Fei Shibu dressed in a twelve-layered kimono flashed through Liu Zheng’s mind, and he shook his head.
Although Fei Shibu, the bathrobe, and the bathhouse regarded as stylish, his intuition told him that giving her gifts would not yield good outcomes.
He placed the bathrobe on the shelf provided and stepped into the bath.
He took a deep breath and submerged himself in the water.
It was freshly changed water today, he could tell from his senses.
Feeling the heat and the sting of sulfur, Liu Zheng moaned in comfort and released a string of bubbles.
Although he had gradually gotten used to the pace of Metropolis, it did not mean he wasn’t tired.
Actually, most people in Metropolis might have it worse, but are certainly not as exhausted as him.
After the greatest crisis had been averted, Liu Zheng couldn’t help feeling a bit fatigued, and he took this opportunity to soak and rest.
He soaked in the water thoroughly for an hour before finally showing his head above the water completely.
