Started for the smut stayed for the story and am thinking of pausing because i am annoyed of the multiverses and cultivation. The smut and harems are still good. The mc is a garry stue. As it is often the case in harem power fantasy.

So be prepared to be amazed by my non-existing storytelling skill! I enjoy writing so this review is going to be a bit long and detailed. I'll break the story into 3 elements, the story, the characters, and the romance/smut/harem (a 3-in-1 combo deal). But my short verdict is that this novel is a hidden gem. I really cannot find any nit-picks personally regarding this novel.

The plot/story goes a bit like this: MC (nameless man) reincarnates into the body of this young boy in the slums. He is then picked up by a knight, which is also the owner of this brothel. He is taught how to massage and please women while working there. The reason for that is simple, this world is a matriarchy. Women are able to use Mana (which is brough by a chasm between their realm (Pangea) and Gehenna (another realm). Pangea, where the MC lives, is separated into kingdoms and smaller vassals. For example, our MC lives in the Black Rose kingdom. Women who are able to use Mana are called Witches, while males are able to use Aura and I'll call them Aura users (certainly not because I have forgotten the correct terminology...). Our MC is able to use the heavenly massage skill that he has acquired to open/cleanse the pores for witches, which enhances their mana acquiring rate. The hierarchy, at least inside the witches kingdoms, is that the women rule while the male are reduced to escorts at best, or slaves at worst. Our MC, Vaan, is the most after sought cookie in the witch academy which he attends as a servant. Due to unfortunate events, the witch he served is gone, and he is left alone. When Vaan gets injured, the pendant left to him as a heirloom from his parents, absorbs a drop of his blood and awakens the witch hunter system, which enables to him to do things such as acquiring the witches traits (elements) through either: 1. sleeping with them, 2. Killing them. So, the MC is able to do things which a normal male is not able to do normally (use mana). This is the most basic description of the plot, like 10 first chapters, without spoiling close to nothing. I can say, however, that the plot becomes much more detailed and intriguing down the timeline. Also, any small plot holes you may see here have reasons and are explained later

Moving on to the characters, I will mostly be covering the MC here. Our MC possesses enviable traits, handsome, smart and most of all, good with his dic- ... I meant good with his massage skills. He is never naïve, nor does stupid things. And he is certainly not a simp. Our MC is very smart, and that is due to his physique which basically enhances his thinking speed. Think of it as acquiring a better CPU, or more RAM🤣. He is even able to do parallel processing later (Vietnam flashbacks from my exam yesterday on parallel distributed system☹). Later down the line, our MC is able to create and alter skills to his liking, and trudges on a multiple path journey. When I say multiple path, he does what others consider inefficient, meaning walk the path of Mana, and some other types of energies as well (won't be mentioning those for obvious reasons, to avoid spoiling you). The characters besides MC are not dumb, or feel lacking. They are smart and competent women. What? why are the only prevalent side characters women? You dum-dum, this is a harem. Jokes aside, the kingdom where Vaan resides for the longest time is the black rose kingdom, which is a matriarchy. Males are slaves there, worth less than dogs, while women step on us as they please (hmm, yes... ). Male characters become more prevalent as the journey goes on and we start broadening the scope of the story. Currently, Vaan has 1 official wife, and a handful of lovers, which he treats nicely. There is one pet-peeve of mine though, where the f*ck did Hester go? Did author forget her?

Now, the romance, harem and smut aspect which everybody besides me and my kin dread. The romance is basically non-existing early on. Vaan sleeps around a ton to acquire as many traits as possible. There is another reason as to why the romance is a bit lacklustre, and it has to do with Vaan mostly. I won't be mentioning those because I feel that they have impact on the storytelling and are some major points in Vaans character growth. What I can say is that the romance later on becomes much more visible and is nice to read. The harem is rather chill. All harem members have their own distinct character traits and do not feel like a 1-to-1 copy of each other. Like beautiful woman A,B C, and so on. Moreover, they themselves actively try their best to keep up with Vaans growth speed, and Vaan also tries to help them, through... eh... COPULATION. d*mn, there I said it. The Smut is good. It is there sometimes, while other times it is skipped. You may think that this is a smutty novel all about sleeping and acquiring beauties early on in the story, but oh boy, or oh girl depending on you, it is certainly not. The longer the story goes on, the more the author shows he has the braincell capacity to cook a good story. Came for the 'plot', stayed for the plot.

Honestly, I really enjoy this novel. I cannot wait to see what author is going to cook up. My final verdict? Try it🧐

I can say that it's quite the good book. I am giving it a temporary review. Change it as I read more chapters, for now it has good plot and the mc seems decent enough to deal with for another 400 chapters or so.

But I can say one thing tho. The heavens are unfair.

One of my favourite novel unique story, well written world building, good paceing, well written characters, and good character development the only problem is update it's a little inconsistent but I can compromise on that if the story is this good

In the start, he was trying to be focus on 1 woman due to circumstances and due to powerlessness but after gaining power he was open to all his women what type of man he is and what they should expect and author is able to convey it in a unique way. 👍👍👍
