"How do you feel?’’ he asks me as the blood is being injected into my body. His hands are shaking, he doesn’t want to mess this up but am happy to see him in his element. This is the real Blue. the one that is good with magic, the protector. the smartest man I have ever met.

He is doing this and I know it is going to be successful.

He is watching me; I can see the doubt in his eyes. He is not sure about this. There is a part of him that thinks something will go wrong.

I offered myself as the test subject because this is my man and I trust him one hundred percent. I know he will never give me anything that will hurt me. I trust him more than I do my own self. He has meticulously planned this and has done everything to make sure it is successful. From the very beginning, he has always made me feel like the most important person in the world and I have no reason to doubt that. He is doing this for my protection and it is going to work.

"How am I supposed to feel?"

He. shrugs "Do you feel any different?’’

I shake my head "I still feel the same way. What is supposed to change?’’

"I think so. Maybe it’s only your scent will change,’’ he pipes in a suggestion. I look away from him and to the blood as it enters through my vein. He didn’t really explain what it is but I have the IV line connected to both hands. Blood is leaving my body while the other has blood going in. I don’t know what it means but it seems like he is just mixing the blood in my body.

"How long do you think this will take?’’

"Maybe a couple of hours. I will know from just sensing it.’’

He hesitates for a moment before adding "Are you ok?’’ I nod "Yes I am’’ "You sure?’’ I nod again "Yes.’’ He looks down at the arm he is using to inject the blood into me. His fingers are shaking but he is sure of what he is doing and he is going for it. "When we go back to the coven, I don’t want to go there to attack. I want us to handle this calmly, find out what we need to before we attack.’’

I know he wants to be the one to face Analise. I will give him that chance because he needs closure, even though this is going to be very hard for him.

How do you kill your own mother?

I know how hard it is to accept that your loved one is a monster. I will never forget Rogers and the things that he did. Watching him die, because of all his sins.

That is the same thing that Blue will have to face.

When we get back to eh coven, he is going to have to deal with all that and we are going to be there for him.

The door opens and I turn to it immediately as Darrien walks in. He has been at our house since he found out about this. He is the one that seems the most desperate for this.

He stays by the door as Blue ushers him into the room "How is it going?’’ he asks eagerly.

His eyes roam around me and the room, I can tell he is trying to see if it is working but we can’t tell that right now.

"We can’t tell yet." Blue says "It will take a few hours to finish." "I just thought I would check’’ he says as he walks over to the bed that I am laying on. He taps my hand "How are you feeling?’’ I give him a small smile "Fine.’’

He nods "This has to work, I need to get on back home,’’ he runs his hands through his hair. We both know that he is doing this because of Jabi. Rex told me that Jabi doesn’t want to be in the community. He doesn’t want to accept that this is the best place for him.

You can’t live in the outside world when you have people that understand and accept you. A werewolf is always better in a pack, it makes us stronger, it gives us a sense of purpose and he doesn’t want to accept it.

Alpha, Beta, or Omega. at the end of it all, he will always be one of us. He will always belong. This pack, this community will always be home but I am not the one that will make him see it. He will figure it out on his own.

He will come to accept it when he is ready.

I am hopeful that he will feel it before he leaves again. I think the hardest part of this is how much I know he wants to leave this place when this place needs him.

The community thrives on its members. I haven’t been here for a long time but I have a love for these people. Alanis is like a brother to me.

Beau treats me like family.

What more could I ask for? I am happy here and I wouldn’t change anything. I have all the people I need and I choose to be here. There is no one who understands me the way that these people do. This is the community I chose to be a part of. I am happy here. My life is great.

"You know you don’t have to stay; I will let you know when this is done,’’ Blue interrupts my thoughts and I see that he is talking to Darrien.

"Yeah, I know. I just hope this works," he stands up and walks in the direction of the door. "Call me when this is done?’’

Blue nods "Definitely."

He walks out of the room and I turn to Blue who just walks over to me and sits on the bed, grabbing my hand in his, careful not to remove the IV line.

"It’s gonna work, I am sure of it,’’ he kisses my wrists softly and I believe him. The sooner we can fix all these problems in our life, the sooner we can finally focus on our relationship.
