Chapter 475: Anger

I open my eyes and they are still in the position that they were in when I saw everything. I don’t want to interrupt El because there is a possibility that he is seeing all the things I just saw.

I know for a fact that I am not just a hallucination. All the things I saw in my head felt real. I try to look at the mark on Jabi’s neck. The one that I gave him, to see if there is anything different but the way he is sitting down makes it hard to see.

After a couple of minutes, Eligio opens his eyes and I walk closer to them.

"Did you see it?’’ I ask immediately.

Even before he answers my question. I see the expression on his face and before he utters the words, I know that what he is about to say is not good.

"His memory is intact. There is nothing new from what he said.’’

My hands are shaking as the words leave his lips.

"No, that can’t be. I know what happened. I just saw it." I explain but the way he is looking at me makes it feel like he doesn’t believe me and I need him to believe me.

’What do you mean by that?’’ Eligio asks in a flat tone.

’’I saw everything,’’ I emphasize, causing Jabi to get up from the couch and walk over to me. He stops in front of me and I reach for his face "He bit you,’’ I raise his head up with my hand to look at the mark but there is nothing different. I know this is not a way to prove it but I am so pissed. I don’t even care anymore. I want to hurt him just the way he hurt Jabi.

"Why would he do that, what good is a werewolf’s blood?"’ Eligio asks me. His voice is soft, I don’t know why he is so calm when I am so upset right now.

"He is not a werewolf anymore. He is a fucking hybrid. I don’t know what he wants with him but I am going to kill that bastard."

I face Jabi again, my eyes are wide, my heart is racing a mile a minute ’Give me your phone.’’ Jabi hands me his phone and I flick it open. I search for a phone app and search for Lenny’s contact.

"Who do you want to call?’’ Jabi asks me meekly.

His voice is shaking but right now, I can’t focus on that. I scroll to the contact and hold my finger on Lenny’s name. I am about to press the call button when I feel Jabi’s hand on the back of my head.

I don’t know if this is a good idea but this is the only thing I can do right now. I want to find out what he wants and I want him to hurt as much as he hurt my mate.

"I will be back,’’ he lets go of me as the words leave my lips. He is looking at me and I know he doesn’t want me to leave him but I need to find this Lenny guy and find out what he fucking wants.

"Stay here,’’ I tell him, grabbing his hand in mine. I let go of his hand and walk out of the house. Eligio doesn’t even stop me. There is no one that can stop me from doing this.

I send him a message as Jabi and his response is quick. Almost like he has been waiting for his message.

I look at their texts.

The messages before the one I just sent.

Jabi only gives him one-word replies. It seems like he planned it all. Like he was pulling him in. I still don’t know what he wants but I know it has something to do with his blood.

Meet me under the bleachers.

I send him another message and he responds immediately. I get to my car and the drive is quick. I have never been this boiling in all my life. No one has ever made me as angry as this guy has and I fucking just met him.

I get to the school and there are students loitering around. Maybe it was a mistake letting him out of my sight. Maybe I should have told him not to go to school. I wanted to be diplomatic. I wanted to give him everything and I ended up hurting him.

I get down from the car and walk to the back of the building and straight to the field. I know he will be there. I know he will be waiting for me and I know that he knows that it wasn’t Jabi that sent the message. There is no way he doesn’t know.

I get to the field and there are only a few students around. I peer around the corner and I can see him. I can see his hair against the grass it is so dark.

My hands are shaking as I walk closer to him. It is taking a lot of restraint from me not to charge over to him and snap his head out of his body.

He is sitting on the bleachers with his back to me. He knows I am here and he is not afraid, which just means that this is exactly what he wanted.

I get closer to him. I get to the bleachers. He turns his head when I get to the bleachers and looks at me. He doesn’t say anything. He just smiles. The kind of smile that makes me sick to my stomach.

"Hello Darrien,’’ he drawls out my name.

I squeeze my hands into fists because I have reached a place where I can’t come out of. I am fuming and I am about to explode.

He doesn’t look defenseless which just means I have to be careful with my attack. I want to be deliberate but the look on his face tells me that this won’t be easy but I have come all this way and I have to follow through.

He has to pay for what he did to Jabi.

I want to kill him.
