Coming back to the community from a vacation is like a wake-up call. I know this is my home and I love this place so much because of Beau but I miss being at the hotel. I miss not having to worry about anything but eating and having sex with my man. My stomach is bigger than it was when we left and it has just been a week. Beau is so excited and it is very adorable because just thinking about how great a father he is going to be is making me even more excited.

"Doesn’t it feel good to be back home?’’ he asks me as he parks the car in front of our house in the community.

’Yeah, it does... but I miss the hotel. I miss having you all to myself.’’ I whine and this brightens his smile. Beau is very possessive. He likes it when I make him feel like the only person that is important to me and most times, that is how I really feel. "You have me all to yourself now. You are my everything.’’

He kisses my cheek and holds me tight in his arms. Every time he does this, I feel a rush of adrenaline running through my veins. I love this feeling. I love being in his embrace and I love the way he looks at me. This is the only place I want to be.

"You are going to be busy with pack stuff,’’ I mutter in his arms.

He pulls away from me so that he can look at me "Not too busy to spend time with you,’’ he rests his hand on my stomach and I look at his hand. This is not the first time he has touched me here. This has suddenly become his best part of my body and I know it is because of his babies. He is such a sucker for them and they are not even born yet.

I know but you are the alpha now. You have to take care of your pack and the pack comes first. You can’t do that if you are busy with me.’’ I say and his expression saddens. He doesn’t like it when I remind him that he is an alpha and that his duties are more important than our relationship. He is not going to be a full-time lover. He is going to be a full-time father too.

Beau is quiet for a moment before he speaks ’’I will make time for you. I do not want you to feel neglected. I want you to feel how important you are to me.’’

I smile and kiss his cheek softly. We get down from the car and some of the members of the pack are waiting for us outside. They are here to welcome us back. I smile at them and one of the members of the pack, a lady walks over to us. I have encountered her a few times but there are a lot of people in the community that I still don’t know "Welcome back,’’ she pulls me in for a hug "Congratulations on the wedding,’’ she says and I smile.

’’Thank you so much. It is very nice to be back home.’’

She pulls away from me and looks at Beau ’’I am sure you are looking forward to being back in the community again. A lot has happened since you have left.’’

I look at him and I know he will be leaving me soon to have a meeting with the elders. "Hold on a second,’’ he tells her and leans closer to me "I need you to freshen up and go to the infirmary. I want them to check on the babies,’’ he tells me with concern in his eyes. This is him basically telling me that he needs some time to sort some things out and I am okay with it, so I nod gently.

"I’ll see you in a couple of hours,’’ he tells me and kisses my temple softly.

Okay,’’ I mutter and he walks away from me to have his meeting with the elders. Isabelle walks over to me and I notice her for the first time "welcome back love,’’ she wraps me in her arms and I welcome her because she is one of the people I have actually missed.

"Thank you,’’ I say and she pulls away from me.

"I heard you are not feeling too well. Let’s go to the infirmary and the healer will check you out."

I know she heard from Beau and it is just an exaggeration. I just felt a slight pain earlier today before we came back. it is not a big deal but he is panicking as he should.

"I need to freshen up,’’ I tell her.

"Okay, I will be waiting for you outside,’’ she tells me and walks away.

I go inside the house and make my way to the master bedroom. I remove my clothes in the bathroom and turn the shower on before I get in there. As the hot water drops on my face, I close my eyes and try to remember what it was like in the hotel. The time we spent there was so much different from the time we spend here. It was more peaceful. I don’t know if it is because he is the alpha here and he has responsibilities. I feel like he is tenser and worried here than he was in the hotel. I rest my hand on my stomach and I feel it move. I smile and I move my hand all around my stomach until I feel both babies moving. I know that these babies are going to be the glue in our relationship. They are going to give me a purpose and I can’t wait for it.

Coming out of the shower, I feel the same pain I felt earlier This time it is a lot worse. I look at the mirror and my eyes are shaking. They are growing and my fangs are coming out. ’’Beau,’’ I mutter and look around for him, knowing full well that he is not here.

I try to stay on my feet but the pain is too much for me I fall on the floor and I start shaking uncontrollably. I start panting as I hold onto my stomach, terrified of what is happening.
