Chapter 386: Just say I do

I see the lights first.

This is a night wedding.

The day is already gone and even though it is kinda weird to have a wedding at night. I am fucking excited. I can’t believe this is happening. No matter how many times I think this through. I am getting married to the love of my life.

It is still so surreal.

"This is the part where I walk you down the aisle,’’ Father tells me with a smile on his face. The expressions he has been carrying all through this while has been overwhelming. I am still at a state of shock at everything that is happening.

I nod. Wanting to start this and see Beau. I want to kiss him so badly right now.

"There is one note left,’’ Father tells me and I realize that we have run out of messages. I look at the sticky note in my hand and sure enough, Beau’s scribbly handwriting is on it. I take a deep breath as I read the last message.

So, all you have to do is say I do and I will be yours eternally. Don’t worry about anything else, just be my husband.

I don’t even know when the tears start to fall out. my heart is racing like crazy. I have never in a million years, imagined something like this happening to me. Beau is doing all the things that I always wanted. He is the perfect man and I don’t know what I did to deserve this. I don’t know why I got so lucky in the love department.

"Fuck," I put the last sticky note in my pocket and start to wipe at my face. Father chuckles with that smile still on his face.

"Pretty romantic huh?’’ he asks me.

I nod in agreement even though I am still a mess. I don’t want to be this teary-eyed bozo. I want to walk down the aisle with the biggest smile on my face. I know it is going to be hard but I will try my best. "I need to stop crying first,’’ I wipe more tears off my cheeks.

Father laughs "I think Beau wouldn’t mind seeing tears in your eyes right now." he reaches for my face "These are all tears of joy,’’ he smiles and the thudding in my chest intensifies.

I nod as he places his hands away from me "Okay, I am ready. I have wasted enough time already."

I look to the entrance. From where I am standing, I can’t see him. but the sound of the piano, the murmurs, everything is clear to me. I clean my palms on my pants because I am sweating nervously right now.

"Come on,’’ Father slings his arms around mine and leads me to my future. The future that I have hoped and prayed for all my life. The future that would have never happened if I didn’t meet Beau. He is the reason for my happiness. The reason for this pregnancy. He is the only reason why I am on this earth.

I exist because of him.

Without him, I wouldn’t exist.

The sun is fully set now and the moon comes into light. I look up at the sky, almost like a silent gratitude to the goddess. I know what my future would look like without beau, because of her. so, I want to use this opportunity to thank her. show her that I am grateful.

After a second of silence, we walk into the arbor that signifies the entrance and suddenly, we are inside the canopy. My heart races as I see people seated, everyone I know. Everyone that is important to me. the only person I have eyes for right now is Beau and he is beautiful in my eyes.

He is alone, waiting for me as I walk, hand in hand with my father. There is a smile on his face, tears are welling in his eyes. I knew he would cry. Beau acts tough but he is the most sensitive person I have ever met. He is macho on the outside but a cuddly puppy on the inside. He is dressed in a different suit from the one he had on earlier—I mean, I don’t blame him, I ruined that one. Everyone stands up as they notice me and I see Rex, blue, and Gyles on the second row. I didn’t think they would come, considering everything that is happening with Gyles. Gyles waves at me and I glare at him because he had to know about this when I complained to him. he raises his hands up in the air and I deviate my attention back to the one person that matters. We are walking slowly and all I want to do is run over to him. I want to take him in my arms and never let him go but I also don’t want to mess things up. I have already done enough damage to his plans.

The least I can do now is be patient. There are cherry blossom flowers everywhere. Cherry blossoms are my favorite flowers and very hard to get here. He did all this for me, even with the difficulties that came.

My heart warms even more.

It seems like the end of the aisle is a mile away but I finally reach him and my heart starts to race even faster. this is what I wanted. To have him in my arms. Now he is close enough to reach. Now I can touch him.

Father gives me one last smile and lets go of my arm; Beau reaches for me. with one stretch of his hand, he reaches for me and the butterflies erupt in my stomach. There is a warm smile on his face as he pulls me closer to him. it is almost like time stops like we are the only ones in this beautiful setting. All I see is him.

"Hi,’’ he breathes out.

"Hi.’’
