I don’t think my heart can take all this extra gushiness. We have never been the type of couple to show emotions like this. Okay, maybe that is a lie but he has never done anything like this.

He was busy fighting a monster.

My wolf pipes up a suggestion. Beau has completely obliterated every bit of my heart. I am overwhelmed and we haven’t even started the date. I tried to control myself but I just couldn’t resist him. At that moment, with his awkward smile, the nervousness in the tone of his voice.

"Come on, sit before we tear our clothes off again,’’ he bellows breathing heavily. I smile because he is shirtless as he sits down on the blanket gently. He stretches his legs out next to me and pulls me closer.

"So I know this is pretty strange. I mean, kind of cringey, isn’t it?’’

I shake my head "I don’t think this is cringey. I love this,’’ I reach for the basket and pull out the champagne. He smiles as I grab the glasses "Can I open it?’’

He nods and I pop the champagne and pour them into glasses. I give him one of the glasses and he gulps it down. He is so nervous; I can’t even believe it.

"Why are you so tense?" I ask him curiously.

His cheeks redden from the embarrassment of my question. There is more to this date. That is the only reason why he would be this nervous.

"I don’t know, I have never done anything like this. You know you are the only real relationship I have ever been in. so this is all new to me,’’ he confesses. I could tell that he didn’t want to mess things up.

"You know this is me right, I don’t care about anything but being with you. that is all that matters to me.’’

He smiles "What do people do on dates?’’ he asks nervously.

I can’t help but laugh at how cute he is. I had a girlfriend for a while. I know how to go on dates but he was a player. He didn’t do girlfriends. He only cared about sex.

"You know all you have to do is talk to me.’’

He blushes "We talk every time. Is that all there is to this?’’

He is being the Alpha male that he usually is. I pull him closer to me and drop the glass on the ground "Tell me about your day,’’ I breathe out because unlike him, I have a lot to tell him.

"My day was spent in a meeting with Olin and Jules. He is leaving in two days and he just wanted to finalize all talk on finding Fallon."

His search for the man has been crazy, I don’t even know how he has hidden so well. To me, Fallon is a coward. He is hiding because he knows that he is at a crossroads. He can’t succeed in deceiving the pack. everyone wants him punished, so showing face will only end in his demise. I can’t wait for him to be found. I just want that Chapter of our life to be over.

"How was your day?’’ he asks me casually.

I don’t want to think about my father and talking about him will just ruin this date. "You can tell me about it. After all, that is my job.’’ He reads my mind. I have told him about my worries and unhappiness in concerns with the man. I don’t understand why it is so hard for him to just accept Beau and everything we had.

"he doesn’t want to have anything to do with you. he still hates you,’’ I confess because there is just something about Beau that makes me want o pour out my heart to him.

He closes his eyes for a second "Scratch that, I don’t think we should talk about him,’’ he huffs out opening his eyes. I know he is not happy with the denial. He wants to be accepted by the man I look up to. No matter how unhappy I am with him right now, he is still my father. He is still the one that saved me in my time of need.

He reaches into the basket and pulls out a transparent container full of strawberries. I watch him as he opens the lid and I see the chocolate all over it. I like that he is going with the cliché things. He is so bad at this that It makes me love him even more. The fact that he planned this when he has no clue on how to do it.

"You want one?’’ he grabs one of them and pushes it to me. food Is not important to me but for him, I will eat every single day for the rest of my life. I will gladly have the metallic taste that food gives me. I will take it all and never get tired of it.

I bite into the strawberry and I feel something strong in between my teeth. He is watching me, with this suspicious stare. The kind that makes me know that he is up to something. I open the strawberry into two and for the first time I realize that it is cut. There is a ring inside, which makes the strawberry look like a box.

My heart is throbbing against my chest because he hasn’t even said anything and I already know what this is.

"What is going on beau,’’ I call his name, I hear my voice and it is unrecognizable to me. I can’t believe this is happening. Is this real?

We joked about this once.

I didn’t ever imagine that he would do this. I didn’t even think it was something I would be excited about. We are already basically married. The mating ceremony settled that, so why am I so excited for this?

"Is this real?’’ I ask him as he gets on one knee, his eyes remain fixed on me. they bore into mine. my heart is still screaming. This is even more beautiful than the date. I will never forget this day. I will die and know that I lived a great life all thanks to this man in front of me.

"Alanis Dravon." He calls my name.

I nod my head like he just asked me something interesting. We haven’t even gotten to the best part and I am already behaving like a fool.

There is a smile on his face. He doesn’t see anything wrong with me and my eagerness. He already knows the answer to the question. To some people, this will be pointless but to me, it is everything.

"I have loved you since the first day I touched you, I continue to love you even through all our fights, and you know there will be a lot of those because I am a stubborn motherfucker,’’ he jokes and I can’t help but laugh. I already feel the tears. I am going to cry and there is nothing I can do to stop it.

"When I look into your eyes, I see the reflection of the two of us, I see the life I hope we will share together. I see my happiness in your eyes Lanis." A tear falls down my cheeks as he continues "You have saved me so many times and I know you will continue saving me. Please do me the honors of saying yes to this cheeky man’s proposal, even though we are basically already a married couple,’’ he ends it with the question.

The one that I have been waiting for. I didn’t even know I wanted this. I joked about it, I didn’t think it would make my heart melt so fast. He stays on one knee; he is still looking at me hopefully but I don’t know how to form words anymore.

I have never been this nervous. I want to scream out the words. I want to tell him that I love him too and I want to marry him. I have them all in my head but they won’t come out.
