Chapter 110: Take me.

I don’t even understand what is happening but I like spending time with Darrien. Everything feels like an adventure. We were supposed to be at the caves. It was supposed to be a typical mating ritual. We are not the first people to experience this but this is the first time anyone has ever escaped from the caves.

I knew Darrien was different, from the first time I saw him. there is nothing regular about him and that is why I love him so much. The man is his own person, he thinks with his heart. Completely and wholeheartedly. I have never trusted anyone as much as I trust him and I don’t think this is a mistake. He places me to my feet in front of the apartment door. He said this is our home. I have never been associated with anyone before. This is the first time I am sharing something so significant with someone else and the fact that it is Darrien is the best feeling ever.

He smiles that cheeky smile that I love on him and reaches for the key under the flowerpot by the door. We left the community without a second thought. He thinks this decision is a risk. I don’t think so. I think he knows what he is doing, I think this is how it was meant to be all along. we didn’t plan the ritual, something told him to push for it so quickly. Something is telling him to do this. that invisible force that has pulled us together. This relationship is bigger than us.

The fact that all this has happened is unprecedented and I want to follow him until the end.

He pushes the door and pulls me into the apartment. The living room is dark, just the way we left it. just like the cave, he stares at me in the darkness, his eyes dark and inviting. There is a sparkle in them. Gold flecks in the middle of his pupil. There is a shift in him. he was uneasy in the cave, nervous and a little temperamental. Here, he is in his element. He has this expression on his face that I cannot understand, I can’t even try to explain it. is this how the ritual is supposed to go. Is he supposed to be in a daze because that is what it seems like to me?

’’We made it,’’ he pushes my back to the wall and presses his body to mine, whispering in my ear.

I let out a soft breath and he bites my earlobe tenderly. I close my eyes from the surprise that something so small could affect me gravely. He chuckles into my ear; I can feel him still watching me. I don’t know what mating is to the vampires, but it seems very intimate. I like being intimate with him, I want to see a part of him that he hasn’t shown me yet. I want to see everything that is Darrien.

He slides his hands over my chest until they are clutching me by my waist. I keep my eyes closed because I am nervous and a little scared. Scared that I will find some way to mess this up, nervous that I won’t be good enough for him. Darrien has lived a long life, with different kind of people. I am just a kid to him. what if I don’t leave him satisfied?

’’Do you feel any different?’’ he asks me quietly.

I open my eyes and he is still staring at me. I don’t know the answer to that question. Okay, maybe I do. the fact that I still feel the same should be scary. What if this doesn’t work out for us because I am an omega and I need an alpha. this is not how the mating ritual between an omega is supposed to go. From the beginning of this, I believed that this was chosen for us. I believed that it is meant to be, but that question is triggering. I am supposed to feel different. There is a full moon, my inner wolf is supposed to react to that, but it feels like he is asleep.

Why?

’’Everything feels heightened,’’ he continues even though I didn’t answer him. He bends his head backwards, somehow elongating his neck, I watch him as he continues ’’Touching you feels a lot more intense,’’ he goes back to looking at me and his arms slide back to my chest. The butterflies dance around as he slides his hand into my shirt and bare chest. His fingers brush against the nape of my neck, I let out a soft gasp from the touch. He smiles into my neck as he leans forward and nibbles at it. his tongue is wet, so wet and delicious as he licks and suckles on me. his hand goes back into my shirt until he is pulling it over my head, leaving me shirtless.

’’Do you want to take this to the bedroom?’’ he whispers in a muse.

I nod because I am suddenly feeling a little lightheaded and weak-kneed. He smirks and pulls away from me, tossing my shirt to the floor. I watch it as it lands with a soft thud. Darrien grabs my hand and pulls me to the direction of the bedroom. We are barely speaking. He just asks what he wants and then does it. this is not like the time in my house. This is different and I think I like it a lot.

He opens the bedroom door, and the lights are switched off here too. Darrien doesn’t bother with turning them on, he just opens the curtains and then the tiny window beside the bed and it reveals the moon, which thus brings light into the room. He walks back to me and his eyes glisten brighter than before. The moon is brighter than I have ever experienced. It is funny that we don’t even have to be in the caves to be under the moon. We don’t have to be in the pack to feel a sense of belonging. I don’t need a group of people to confirm being wanted. The only person that matters from here on out is standing right in front of me.

’’I want to do this now, I want to have you completely,’’ he confesses as he rests his chin on my shoulder and pulls me into his arms. His breathing is heavy. The room is quiet, the only sounds coming from us. I told him, he is the only one I want to follow, and I meant it. even though I don’t feel any different. I still want this with him. He said he wanted to do this the vampire way, so I guess that is what we are going to do. I don’t know how this works, so I am relinquishing all control and giving it to him.

I am his and I want him to take me.

He pulls back slightly, and his eyes are a different colour completely. A bright gold, this time not just flecks of colour. I hold my breath because the intensity of his expression is captivating. Slowly he leans forward, and his lips are on mine instantly. I stiffen against his kiss as he pulls me even closer and slides his tongue into my mouth. trembling beneath him, I try to control the shudders that find their way under my skin. He has never touched me like this before. I have never felt so much love from one kiss. He grinds into me and I feel him against me. this is all new to me. this is abrupt but I am loving every second of this. Darrien continues kissing me as he grabs me by my waist until my legs are wrapped around his waist. He carries me and places me on the bed. I shake uncontrollably as he climbs on top of me.

His hands fondle with my shorts, I let him take it off, and then he does the same for my boxers. Leaving me completely naked and vulnerable. I watch him as he pulls his shirt over his head, his eyes never wavering from mine. He goes back to kissing me, this time a lot more aggressive than before. I can’t get over how intense his eyes are. They are calling out to me, begging me to be HIS. I know I said I didn’t feel any different but at this moment. There is this electric pull. The kind that shocks you and leaves you wanting more. The reaction to just a kiss is powerful, and I don’t think I can handle it all.

’’I am going to take you... all of you. Tell me you want this too,’’ he breathes in between kisses.

Darrien always asks, whenever he wants to do anything to me. He seeks confirmation and that is one of the things I love about him. Even at this moment, where I have already agreed to give him every part of me, he still seeks consent.

’’Take me Darrien,’’ I call out his name in the dead of the night.
