Chapter 105: Alanis and Beau.

’’Can you distract me. Let’s talk about anything.’’

We are both lying down on the cold hard ground, staring at the moon. this thing cannot come any faster. Alanis is so close to me, but I can’t have him until the deities tell me to. I have to stare at him in all his glory and there is nothing I can do until it is the right time.

I feel like all we have had to do is wait. Wait to be together, wait to have sex and now we have to wait until the moon tells us that it is time.

’’How shocked are you about Darrien and Jabi?’’ I ask him, remembering his brother. I still find it funny that he didn’t want to wait. It took him such a short time to figure out that he wanted Jabi.

’’He is in love,’’ he whispers in my arms.

I pull him closer until my face is in the crook of his neck. There is already this pull, like a voice in my head, telling me to mark him, make him mine already. I don’t think I will be able to last the whole night with the way my heart is racing and wishing for more.

I can smell him, the blood that travels through his veins, the scent that only he has. I can feel him, the coldness that emanates from him has suddenly become the only warmth I need, he is all I see, all my eyes recognise in the dead of the night, he closes his eyes and at that moment I reach for him and press my lips to his, I want to taste him.

I shake my head, even though deep down I know is too early. I just want a little taste of him. I want to feel all of him so badly and my inner wolf is losing all control.

I can sense the nervousness in the sound of his voice. The croak and stutter within him all obvious to me. Alanis rambles when he is nervous. He is so nervous right now. Not like I am not the same.

He pulls away from me slowly and then he looks up at the sky ’’The moon looks full,’’ he points out.

I shake my head ’’Almost, a couple of minutes to go. You will know when it is time.’’

He furrows his brows ’’How?’’

’’You will see it through me. there is no way I will I just let you be once the moon is full.’’

He rests his head on my chest in defeat and I play with the strands of his hair with gentle caresses. ’’This is it... huh?’’ he asks me, his eyes still fixed to the sky.

’’Yes, it is.’’

He smiles, the kind of smile I love on his face. the one that is outstretched, the one where I can see the obliterated joy on his face. Happiness at its greatest.

’’Things are going to get harder,’’ I remind him.

He looks away from the sky and at me ’’We have a battle ahead of us. Cassius won’t be easy. It would take a lot to get to him and there might be consequences,’’ I continue. I want to let him know the repercussions of being with me.

There are risks.

So many risks that come with being with someone that is being hunted. Cassius won’t stop, he won’t ever give up. For as long as he is alive. The only way this will stop is when I kill him.

It won’t be easy, but I also need him to know that I need him by my side for this fight.

’’I am not going anywhere,’’ he reads my mind.

The only person that really understands me. the only person in my life that I cannot live without.

’’I don’t plan on letting you go. I will find a way to protect you. I will never let you down. you will only find happiness with me,’’ these are my promises to him.

Somehow this is like my vow to him.

’’I love you,’’ I pull him closer at my confession and he welcomes me into his arms. This is the beginning of our forever. A union that no one thought was possible, one that we will make possible.

His lips melt into mine and at this moment I give in. the part of my brain taking over. Lanis grabs me by my neck and pulls me closer to deepen the kiss. This kiss is rough, the kind that feels like the last. We both struggle to get oxygen, no one wanting to let go.

’’I love you too,’’ he mutters breathlessly in between kisses.

That is all I need to hear to send me off the wall and drive me crazy. The pull intensifies as I wrap my arms around his waist. The voice in my head getting louder, begging me to devour him.

I take off his clothes in an instant, we are all over each other, desperate for more than we have. ’’Now?’’ he asks in between kisses.

I remain silent because I don’t know yet, I just know that the craving is stronger. My hand slides all over his body as the butterflies’ dance in my tummy. The cave is cold and dry but the only cause of my shivers is his touch.

I place his clothes on the ground in a way he could lie on them and not the bare ground because I don’t even know how he feels doing this on the cold hard ground with all the dirt. Lanis is not one of us, he might now be used to this.

’’Tell me its time,’’ he breathes against my chest, the desperation etched in his voice.

I told him he would know when it was time. I can already feel it. I feel the pull getting stronger, but my inner wolf needs to come out. Once I show my true form, he will know.

’’almost,’’ I assure him. My voice is unrecognizable to me. I have never sounded so frustrated in my life. The depth of my voice, engraved with lust and hunger. Hunger for him, hunger for this unity.

He opens his eyes in shock from the sound of my voice. The expression on his face tells me what I need to know. There is a gleam in his eyes that tells me that he sees something. He sees the part of me no one has ever seen before.

I feel my inner wolf come out for a complete takeover. I am still here but he is the one in charge. The one that will make this happen.

’’You are mine,’’ he growls to Lanis who just nods in agreement.

This kiss is different as I smash my lips to his. Completely engrossed in him and this moment. Lanis moans into my lips as I bite at his lower lip, wanting more than this innocent taste. Blood spills out of the cut and the acidity makes me want more.

I want to mark him.
