Chapter 60: Shamelessly share his warmth
Chapter 60: Shamelessly share his warmth
Wraven claws had a venom which wasn’t toxic but did have harmful effects like paralyzing the skin nerves and making the spot lose its sense of touch.
This would make the infected bleed out until they die because the wound wouldn’t heal. Cedric was also injured but his resistance to poison saved him. Due to the effects of the Venom and the large layers of clothes Abrielle was wearing combined with the strong scent of blood he was covered with it was hard for Cedric to sense the injury.
She was strong because considering how long they had been walking most people would have collapsed from blood loss but yet the weak talentless heiress of the Nightshade family was still awake.
"You are injured behind," Cedric informed Abrielle who was stunned because she didn’t sense anything amidst. She clicked her tongue and the venom severely affected her nervous system.
"I had no idea," she answered truthfully. Cedric sighed and with his hand touching her injured back.."we need to take care of the venom and maybe rest for the night." Cedric answered seeing how much blood she had lost.

The soft crackling sound of the fire flames echoed in front of a couple that was half naked. Abrielle had to remove her clothes to enable him to attend to her wound.
She didn’t trust him but she was out of choices plus the fact she saved his life earlier. Her clothes at her upper layer were completely removed leaving her with just the lower underwear.
Her hands were crossed at her front barely hiding her bosom as it felt uncomfortable to be this bare before him. His heated gaze made her feel fuzzy from the inside.
Her back skin was numb so she couldn’t feel his hand on her back as he used a cloth to clean the surface of the injury. Cedric smiled at how shy she was with her cheeks flushed.
"There is no need to be nervous. I have already since your bosoms before. They are beautiful and shouldn’t be hidden from your husband." He teased her, causing her cheeks to turn red.
"Don’t you get ashamed speaking in such a way?" Abrielle asked, unable to hide her red cheeks because her hands were covering her bosoms.
"I see no reason why I should be ashamed to praise my wife’s body." He casually mentioned with his attention solely on her injury, that there were three claws marks infected by the venom.
He has successfully cleaned off the venom on the surface but some were already in her body system and her injuries would not heal until they were out.
"Do you have a healing potion? I think I carried one " Abrielle asked.
"That is pretty impressive to think ahead, I didn’t bother because I don’t need them," Cedric answered and black smoke started leaving his fingertips into Abrielle’s injury. He didn’t heal them completely just good enough for the healing potion to work.
"I am done cleaning it," he informed her and she grabbed her clothes littered on the floor to cover her front side before turning around. "Thank you," she said to her husband who still had his gold mask on and his hair sticking all over his face.
"You don’t need to mention, where is the potion?" Cedric asked, getting on his feet.
"It should be with my trousers." She answered and Cedric didn’t hesitate to search for them. She watched his side profile as he checked through the pile of clothes.
Cedric had also removed most of his wet clothes he placed on rock surfaces for the fire to dry. He only had his trousers on exposing his upper-built torso and every inch of his drew-worthy body.
To her shock, he didn’t have a single scar on his body despite the fact he had always been at war. Cedric sensed her gaze on him, he knew she was admiring him which he didn’t have an issue with only if she was brave enough to act on her desires he would gladly oblige.
"Found it," he said, bringing out a vial containing a blue liquid. Cedric opened it for her and then handed it over. Using one arm to support the clothes on her front she accepted the vial with the other.
She brought it to her lips and drank it up in a single gulp. "I Will wrap up the wound for you." He then grabbed his shirt which he tore since Abrielle’s shirt had been used to clean her injury.
After shredding them he diligently covered her wounds. They sat in front of the flames barely wearing clothes. Thankfully the flames were warm enough to keep Abrielle from freezing and her fever had reduced a bit but she was still cold and wearing wet clothes was out of the topic.
Cedric sighed seeing her condition as she hugged her wet clothes, he was impressed by her resilience. She was stronger than given credit since she was still conscious of these conditions. Abrielle’s eyes were solely on the flames to reduce the embarrassment she felt.
Cedric got up from opposite the fire puzzling her as her eyes followed him, she swallowed hard seeing how every muscle in his body flexed perfectly in a seductive way. She clenched her legs and curled herself up. How could she think of something like that in their situation?
He walked behind her and sat down startling her, he didn’t give her a chance to process things. His arms quickly wrapped around her waist stunning her as the clothes she was using to cover her bosom fell.
Cedric pulled her closer to his chest, her skin was healing slowly so she could sense the warmth from him as he wrapped his arms around her. "What are you doing?" She snapped at him.
He leaned on her neck and whispered against her skin. "Keeping you warm, I don’t want you freezing to death." He shamelessly said as he cupped one of her bosoms to fondle it then he started to lightly kiss her neck. An abominable sound left her lips before she could protest.
Cedric’s eyes darkened hearing her moan, he had to draw in a deep breath to keep his head clear. He was not going to go all through, just wanted to tease her and give her his warmth in his arms.
