Chapter 24: Sharp tongue

The room temperature dropped to an all-time low, and the air was too heavy to breathe. Cedric had to give it to her, his wife was a talented liar, and now she was painting him as being incapable of having her in bed.

Cedric suddenly flipped her over on the bed with his hand still on her neck. His hold was not too tight as she could still breathe, but Abrielle was not comfortable knowing he could snap her head anytime.

His gold eyes were very cold, and she knew she had hit a nail. Her eyes widened in disbelief. Despite the situation, she was already in, her mouth and still wanted to run and put her in further problems. "Wait, don’t tell me it is true." She gasped, and this time, Cedric tightened his hold on her neck. It felt like he was squeezing all the air from her lungs.

Abrielle struggled to pry his hand away but this monster didn’t stop. Why did she have to run her mouth? "Why don’t you repeat what you just said." He suggested, and still, her dumb mouth wanted to instigate him.

"I said you are incapable in bed." She struggled to say. Cedric’s eyes were still dark, but a sick smile graced his face, one that shook her entire being. He was amused by her guts. She still had the mouth to instigate him when she knew she was lying.

He finally understood why the Duke’s daughter, despite being loved by her family, was single, still at the age of 20. No one can stand this sharp tongue. Cedric let go of her neck, allowing her to breathe.

Abrielle scrambled away from underneath him. She was crazy to have repeated her words but she hated him so much she enjoyed seeing him mad. Her chest was heaving, trying to catch her breath, but the devil was not done with her.

"I guess the only way I can prove myself is to show you directly," Cedric stated. Her eyes went wide as saucers, and suddenly, the thought of having sex with him didn’t seem as pleasurable as she imagined with how dark his aura was.

Abrielle struggled to get off the bed and make a run for the door, but she barely caught her breath when her hand wrapped around her waist, pulling back on the bed with his figure shadowing over her.

"Get off me, I was joking." She nervously laughed despite being so scared her heartbeat was ringing in her ears. She tried to push him off, but his chest was an unmovable wall.

Cedric grabbed both of her hands in a single palm and then pinned them above her head. His smile widened and she knew exactly what he had in his mind to do next when he leaned in to capture her lips.

He was not gentle but rather aggressive, Abrielle tried to fight against him, but his lips were drawing her in. Cedric pried her legs open and settled between them as he got more aggressive in the kiss to claim her.

His bulge touched her excited flower, and she gasped at the sudden sensation. She was still turned on from earlier. Cedric used the opportunity to slip his tongue into her mouth to capture her completely.

A low groan left his lips as he moved off Abrielle to sit on the bed edge. His long, slender fingers raked through his thick, dark lock. The sexual tension had reduced, but his trousers hurt so badly with his excited member being restricted by the slacks.

Cedric got off the bed and picked up a long coat he had worn. Cedric glanced at Abrielle with a fleeting look in his eyes that quickly disappeared. Her blue eyes were staring at him as she tried to catch her breath.

"No maid will be attending to you princess. Use your time to think about your life decisions." Cedric mentioned as he walked up to the door, pushed it open, and then left.

The door slammed as he left. "Stupid Bastard," Abrielle screamed after he left. He only knew how to wreck her nerves and left her craving for the forbidden fruit.

Unknown to Abrielle, Cedric and Elias were still at the door and heard her cuss, Cedric. Elias nervously swallowed at the princess’s guts, but it seemed Cedric was exceptionally patient with his wife.

She cussed him a couple more times which, funny enough, it didn’t piss him off. Her cusses sounded like music in his ears.

Back inside the room, Abrielle was still on the bed where Cedric left her; she had to focus on her goals and not be distracted by Cedric.

Even if he had been patient and ignored her now, everything will change so when his tolerance will disappear. Once the female lead comes into the plot and he falls head over for the female lead, then her days will be numbered.
