Chapter 104: Figure In A Corner

The effect was immediate. Her body shattered under the force of each thrust, each one more intense than the last. His pace was brutal, unrelenting, and she tried to match his rhythm, their breaths coming in ragged gasps as he drove into her with reckless abandon. She swore he was rearranging her inside with each powerful thrust.

Has she always been this shameless? But how could she be blamed when he was this good? Every movement, every slam against her, sent her spiraling into a pleasure so intense, it coiled within her like a spring, ready to snap.

The room was filled with their sounds — her breathless moans, his deep, guttural groans, and the unmistakable rhythm of their bodies coming together. The echo of their lovemaking bounced off the walls, intensifying the heat between them.

Even as Esme reached the peak of pleasure, he didn’t stop, neither did his pace slow down, driving her deeper into the sensation overwhelming her.

"Donovan... wait!" She gasped, her hands instinctively reaching out to stop him. He caught her wrist with ease, pressing them against the bed, before silencing her protest with a fierce, demanding kiss.

His grip was firm, one hand pinning her wrists above her head, while the other slid down to lift her leg, hooking it around his hips. His relentless thrusts kept coming, sending them both spiraling higher in a storm of pleasure and passion.

When his mouth left hers, it traveled to her neck, his lips grazing her skin before nipping gently. She felt the primal energy within him, the growl of his wolf vibrating through her chest, urging him to claim her, now.

His canines began to sharpen, the instinct to mark her becoming unbearable. But he resisted. He bit down on his bottom lip so hard it bled, his wolf howling within him, desperate to take what was his. Yet, even as the desire coursed through him, Donovan held back, unwilling to make such a claim without her permission.

"Esme... don’t ever leave me," Donovan whispered between ragged breaths, his voice raw with emotions as he pulled away from her neck. "I’ll do anything you ask of me, but don’t ever walk away. I won’t be able to bear it." There was a vulnerability in his voice that struck her deeply, and she gazed into his pleading eyes. She saw the depth of his need — his desperation.

"You’re mine," he growled softly, his tone suddenly shifting into something darker, possessive, in a way that sent shivers down her spine. "All mine."

In the charged moment, Esme felt the climax building, a strange, electric energy that buzzed within her, spreading through her veins. It was foreign, inexplicable, and unlike anything she had ever experienced. Before she could ask Donovan if he felt it too, the wave of pleasure surged through her, obliterating every thought.

He hit that sweet spot again, harder this time, so painfully delicious, yet felt so impossibly good that she couldn’t hold back the cry that escaped her lips – a sound of pure, unrestrained ecstacy.

Her vision blurred with the overwhelming sensation as they tumbled over the edge together. She felt the heat of his release inside her, a primal connection sealing the moment between them. As she trembled, her body still riding high of her climax, it prolonged the pleasure.

Donovan collapsed gently onto her, his breath coming in ragged bursts as their bodies settled into the bliss of their shared release. She closed her eyes, savoring the lingering warmth and the soft weight of his body against hers, their heartbeats gradually syncing. He pressed a tender kiss to her forehead, the simple gesture steeped in quiet affection.

Esme couldn’t explain it, but something had shifted between them — an unspoken bond deepened, even though he hadn’t marked her yet.

"Are you alright?" He asked, his voice gentle, filled with a tenderness as he allowed her body to recover from the intensity of their shared moment.

Esme melted into his embrace, nestling against him in a way that sent his heart picking up speed. This man, she knew — he could be hers, entirely, if only she said the word.

As she pulled back slightly, her gaze landed on his lower lip, noticing a small stain of blood. Concern flickered across her features.

"You’re bleeding?" she asked softly, her brows furrowing in worry.

Donovan looked confused for a moment before he felt the soft touch of her thumb against his lip.

"Oh, it’s healed," he reassured her, his voice low and calming. "I bit down to stop myself from marking you... I knew you weren’t ready for that. I’m fine." He gave a faint smile, licking away the last trace of blood.

There was something about the way he did it, so undeniably sensual that it made her pulse quicken. Without even thinking, she tugged him back down, capturing his lips in a kiss. It was slow, deliberate, and filled with unspoken emotions.

Donovan froze at first, clearly surprised, but it didn’t take long before he responded, his lips moving against hers in a way that was intimate, not rushed. The kiss deepened, no longer just meeting of the lips, but an exploration of something so profound. She felt the shift in his body – the unmistakable sign of his desire returning – and their kiss took on a new urgency, one that carried them further into a passion that seemed endless.

They only succumbed to sleep when the rain outside finally ceased, leaving a calm stillness in its wake. As Esme slept, the crescent moon pendant around her neck began to glow with a soft, ethereal, light, and in the depths of her dream, she found herself in an environment she instantly felt she shouldn’t be in.

The scene before her felt surreal — but she was standing at the entrance of the golden palace – Lennox’s domain. It was night time. The air felt chilly against her skin, making her wonder if this was a dream or an actual reality.

What was she doing here? How did she end up here??

Esme’s breath caught when she noticed a silver-haired boy standing nearby, his eyes concealed beneath a dark blindfold. It took her some moment as she scanned the lean figure from head to toe, wondering who he was.

And then it clicked!

"Donovan?" she whispered, her eyes widening in recognition. No, it was the younger version of him.

The boy, however, didn’t seem to acknowledge her presence at all. His cursed mark was only visible on his face and neck, but the rest of his body remained untainted, unlike now. That could only mean that the marks he had now... he had gotten them from somewhere?

But why was he here?

Esme’s thoughts were intruded when a familiar dark mist swirled around him, engulfing his form until he vanished entirely, hence, leaving Esme staring at the spot where he stood moments before.

Her gaze immediately shifted towards the grand palace doors, confusion and concern tightening in her chest. "Did he go inside?"

In the midst of her worried thoughts, Esme caught a shadowed figure in the corner. Except, the figure wasn’t observing her, but Donovan.
