Chapter 342: The Tree of Elements (Part One)
"So, you all have found the perfect weapon for me?" Annalise couldn’t help but repeat what she was just told by her husbands as a question because her brain was having trouble wrapping itself around all the information.
She would never have guessed that this was what keeping her husbands extra busy all these days.
"You need a weapon, Annalise, a powerful one that can help you weild your magic." Valerius reminded her as he came to stand next to hr with a really old looking book in his hands.
A sigh escaped Annalise’s lips as she just accepted her fate. though she wasn’t too fond of having a personal weapon, she knew that she did need one.
"So, what am I going to have as my weapon? I don’t think I can handle a sword..." She trailed off as her mind started picturing her using different sorts of weapons. It wasn’t like she didn’t know how to weild a sword or arrows, she had eough training to use most types of weapons, but she knew that she couldn’t use sword as proficiently as she should. This made her wonder what sort of weapon her husbands must have chosen for her.
"We have been looking for a really long while to find a perfect fit for you and eventually... Esmeray helped us to find the one." Damien told her, his voice faltering for a moment at the mention of the King of Darkness.
"Esmeray?" Annalise asked in surprise as she didn’t expect her husbnads to be working alogside the King of Darkness.
Though her husbands were not as hostile or unsure toward Esmeray as they were initially before meeting him personally, Annalise knew better than anyone that they still were far from accepting the King of Darkness as their friend.
"Right. He’s the one who found the right weapon for you." Kenric agreed with a slight nod of his head.
"And you all are satisfied with his choice?" Annnalise couldn’t help but ask as she tried to read their expressions carefully.
"Only after we found out the story of the weapon from him and mother. We do believe that he has find the right weapon for you."
Now, Annalise was curioius to know what kind of weapon it was. So, she hurriedly asked - "Then where is my weapon? Let me have a look at it." She looked aropund as if to searh for the said weapon.
"It’s not here." Valerius told her right before he opened the book in his hands and after finding a certain page, he placed it in front of Annalise’s eyes.
"What is this?" Sh asked as hr gze shiftd from her husband’s face to the pages wide opeed in front of her. There was a sketch of a tree and then ceratin weaapons drawn next to it. As for the text written on the next page, she was unable to read it as it was in the ancient Fae tongue that was no longer used through the four realms.
"This is the tree of Elements, the same tree that gave the late Light Fae Queen her weapon. Since you also possess the light element and have the ability to control all the existing elements, it seems perfect for you to have a weapon made from the magic of this tree." Valerious answered her question before he closed the book and placed it on a side table.
Annalise tried to recall what she knew about the Late Light fae Queen’s weapon. She did recall that her weapon came from the Tree of Elements which was a sole tree ever to be found in the entire existence of the four realms. Her weapon was a sceptor with a huge elemental magic ball in the very centre of its head. It was known to be the most powerful weapon to ever exist in the history of the four realms.
"The tree of Elements... Is that the one... the Primordial Realm..."
It wasn’t a question since she knew for sure that there was only one tree of elements to ever exist and that was no where else than the Primordial Realm.
"That’s right." Damien said as he shared a quick look with his brothers.
"Are you saying that Esmeray has brought a weapon from this tree from me?" She asked while praying to the stars in her mind that it was not just her wishful thinking but the actual truth.
"Maybe you already know this... you will have to go there personally to retrive a weapon for yourself from this tree. No one else can do it for you." Kenric reminded her of a bitter reality that seemingly forgot. She did read about it in the Late Light Fae Queen’s diary.
Another sigh escaped her lips as she whispered - "This doesn not make any sense. How can I... How can anyone enter the Primordial Realm? How am I going to do that?"
She was shaking her head as if nothing was making any sense to her at all.
"You don’t need to worry about that. Esmeray will accompany you and help you on your journey to the Primordial Realm. He will make sure that you will be perectly safe." Valerius told her in a tone that sounded like he was trying to assure her.
Annalise looked at her husbands one by one in surprise as she asked - "Since when did you started believeing so much in him? I thought you all disliked him."
"It’s not like we dislike him. We just didn’t trust him that much." Kenric tried to defend himself and his brothers from the accusation.
"I don’t see much difference." Annalise was quick to point out.
"Whatever it was, it’s now in the past. After spending some time with him these past week and after talking to him, we can tell that he is someone worth trusting. Since the three of us can’t accompany yoy to the Primordial Realm, he’s the only one in this world whom we trust enough to take care of you with his life... even if he will do it out of selfishness." Valerius didn’t try to make his words sound any soft and just spoke the truth.
Annalise studied her husbands for a moment before she let out another deep sigh and asked - "So, when am I leaving for Primordial Realm?"
