Chapter 332: New Companions

Chapter 332: New Companions

No one knew what to say and that ended up creating a deep silence in the room that lasted for a really long while. It was Annalise who finally spoke up, breaking the silence - "We are sorry for your loss, Sir Niles."

Sir Niles shook his head as if he was trying to get rid of his thoughts and she he finally looked up at her, his face was back to his usual charming expression. "But now thinking about it, I believe that it’s time for all four of us remaining guardians should reassemble to help you all. It’s another chance for us to fight for our Realm."

Everyone liked the idea immediately. They needed powerful and knowledgeable people on their side to fight their enemy and the light guardians would be the perfect addition.

"Who are the other two guardians?" Annalise questioned.

"There’s Edith, guardian of the Stars and Constellations, and then there’s Cyrus, guardian of East Blue." Sir Niles answered as he introduced the other two light guardians who were still alive. "There’s one more thing. Silas is the direct descendant of late guardian Marius, the guardian of light warriors. According to the rules of Seelie Court, if any guardian dies, their first direct descendant takes over their position in the court. According to that rule, Silas is thd current guardian of light warrors, he’s just not officially declared as one."

Everyone turned their gazes at Silas who seemed slightly uncomfortable under all the sudden attention he was getting from all of them.

"I knew you were a big deal from the very beginning." Annalise stated as she gave the warrior man a proud smile.

Silas was at a loss of words so he just remained silent while looking embarrassed about all the attention he was getting from everyone.

"Then... we actually have five light guardians living among us." Ezra pointed out and everyone nodded their heads as the information settled in.

"Do you know how to summon all three of them here?" Kenric asked Sir Niles.

"The seven light guardians always share a special bond that connects them together. Though I haven’t used it in the past ten thousand years, I can give it a try now." Sir Niles answered as he relaxed in his seat and closed his eyes.

Kenric turned his intense gaze from Sir Niles to Silas as he asked - "You feel anything?"

"I haven’t started yet child." Sir Niles was the one to answer and made everyone chuckle which resulted in a sulky Autumn Prince.

The room was shrouded in a heavy silence as Sir Niles finished the summoning ritual. His brow furrowed with concern, he opened his eyes, only to find that nothing had changed. The other three light guardians, Elaron, Edith and Cyrus remained absent.

Marley, always quick to voice his thoughts, broke the silence. "Has the summon failed, Sir Niles?"

Sir Niles rubbed his temples, a look of frustration on his face. "I... I don’t know. This has never happened before. The ritual should have worked."

Before anyone else could speak, the room suddenly trembled with crackling energy, and a blinding light enveloped the center of the room. Annalise shielded her eyes as a figure materialized from the light. It was Elaron, the guardian of Forgotten magic, his presence commanding attention.

Elaron scanned the room, his eyes locking onto Sir Niles. "Senior Niles," he said with a hint of relief, "So, you are the one who summoned me."

Sir Niles’ heart swelled with gratitude. "Elaron, it’s been so long."

But the surprises weren’t over. As the energy dissipated, two more figures appeared, one male and one female. Edith, the guardian of Stars andConstellations, and Cyrus, the guardian of East Blue Sea, stood in the living room, disoriented and bewildered.

Sir Niles seemed to be overwhelmed by emotions as he looked at his fellow guardians whom he hadn’t met for the past ten thousand years.

"Senior Niles." Edith and Cyrus greeted Sir Niles who quickly dismissed the formalities.

"It’s so good to see you all here... after so long."

Edith looked around, her expression filled with curiosity and confusion as she noticed the presence of so many other people in the room - "Where is this place, Senior Niles?"

"Seems like the secret castle of the Late Light Fae Queen." The one who answered was Elaron as his gaze landed on Annalise.

Annalise bowed politely to greet Elaron and the man returned the gesture with a warm smile on his face.

Since the hood of his cloak was down, his face was exposed. He looked old, not as old as Sir Niles who seemed like someone in his early or mid sixties, but someone like who was in his mid forties.

Cyrus appeared like someone in his thirties, almost same as Silas. As for Edith, she seemed to be the youngest among them, around late twenties.

Sir Niles took the opportunity to introduce everyone present in the room to Elaron, Edith, and Cyrus who seemed both surprised and then happy to know that Silas was now one of the light guardians.

"But why did you summon us?" Cyrus asked as he, along with Edith and Elaron, settled down in the chairs that Valerius had created with a simple spell.

"Because it’s time the light guardians take control of their duties. You all must have been chosen as the light guardians for a reason, and the presence of all five of you in our team could only strengthen our mission." Annalise spoke in a determined tone as she looked at each one of the five guardians one by one.

Elaron broke the silence with determination in his voice. "Then it’s settled. We may not have succeeded in the past, but we have a world to save again. Together, we’ll face whatever challenges lie ahead."

The room was filled with a renewed sense of purpose, as the light guardians and all the chosen ones prepared to embark on a perilous journey. Little did they know that this unexpected gathering was just the beginning of a greater adventure, one that would test their bonds, their courage, and their determination to protect the world from darkness.
