Chapter 304: Honey Dew Elixir
Chapter 304: Honey Dew Elixir
Annalise blinked her eyes open and moved to a sitting position in her bed, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. Though Damien had accompanied her to bed the previous night, she could slready feel his presence in the basement of thd castle slong wiyh Kenric and Valerius.
The morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow on the room. But what caught Annalise’s attention wasn’t the sunlight—it was the sight of Pristine, the garden fairy of the Cursed Castle, floating near her bed while humming a sweet, melodic tune.
"Good morning, Annalise," Pristine chimed, her voice tinkling like wind chimes. "I hope I didn’t startle you too much."
Suppressing her initial shock, Annalise managed a half-smile. "No, you didn’t startle me. But... why are you in my room?"
Pristine’s twinkling eyes sparkled mischievously. "I have a surprise for you! Come on, hurry up and get dressed. We have a busy day ahead."
Annalise’s curiosity was piqued despite her shock of seeing Pristine in her room all of a sudden. She quickly scrambled out of bed, donning her clothes as Pristine floated by, her dress fluttering gracefully. Once ready, she followed the fairy through the corridors of the Castle, her heart racing with anticipation.
As they reached the garden, Annalise couldn’t help but gasp in awe. The flowers seemed to bloom even more vibrantly, and the air was filled with a gentle, inviting fragrance, but... it was a Winter morning.
"How come the flowers are blooming in such cold?" She couldn’t help but ask.
"Don’t forget that you are living in no normal Castle. Anything is possible here." Pristine replied as she showed Annalise the variety of flowers heat were in full bloom.
Annalise didn’t know what to say, so she just remained silent and waited for Pristine to explain what were they doing, or was it all about the flowers?
Just as Annalise was about to be sure that the flowers were the surprise, she was proven wrong by the fairy.
Pristine turned to Annalise, her smile radiant. "Today, my dear, I’m going to teach you something truly magical—the art of creating Honey Dew elixir."
"Honey Dew elixir?" Annalise echoed, intrigued.
"Yes," Pristine nodded. "It’s a rare and powerful elixir created by the late Light Fae Queen herself. It’s made from morning dew, honey, and magical spells, combined with a touch of white pearl powder. The elixir has the incredible ability to heal wounds, but its potency depends on the strength of the spell used during its creation. The powerful its creator, the more powerful the elixir will be, and not everyone can brew this elixir. It takes more than just magical powers to brew it."
"You can brew it?" Annalise asked as she couldn’t hide her curiosity.
With a deep disappointed sigh, Pristine shook her head in negative. "Unfortunately I can’t despite trying for nearly centuries. But I have learned the technique to the very ’e’." Her voice became excited in the latter part and so did her eyes.
Annalise’s eyes widened with wonder. "That sounds incredible. But why are you teaching me this?"
Pristine’s expression turned earnest. "Everyone in the Castle is helping you train and become stronger, and I wanted to contribute in my own way. Besides, it’s a secret art that not many know, and I believe you have the potential to master it."
Annalise felt a surge of gratitude. "Thank you, Pristine. I’m honored."
The garden fairy clapped her hands together. "Let’s not waste any more time. To begin, we need to gather the morning dew from these petals."
Annalise watched closely as Pristine gracefully collected dewdrops from delicate petals, each glistening like a tiny diamond. Together, they moved to a clearing where a small table had been set up, adorned with various vials, honey jars, and a shimmering white pearl.
"Now, Annalise," Pristine began, her voice gentle yet full of authority, "focus your energy and channel it into your palms. We’ll use magic to infuse the dew and honey with healing properties."
Annalise took a deep breath, closing her eyes and following Pristine’s instructions. She felt a tingling sensation in her palms as she conjured her magic, watching as the dew and honey swirled together, illuminated by a soft golden glow.
"Now, recite this incantation," Pristine instructed, guiding Annalise through the words.
As Annalise chanted the incantation, the elixir started to take shape before her eyes, its glow intensifying with each word. She could feel the energy and power coursing through her, as if she were a conduit for something greater than herself.
When the incantation was complete, the elixir settled into a radiant liquid, its color shifting from gold to a delicate shade of pale green. Pristine smiled proudly. "You did it, Annalise. You’ve created your first batch of Honey Dew elixir."
Annalise gazed at the elixir, a mix of awe and accomplishment washing over her. "Thank you, Pristine. This is... truly amazing."
Pristine’s laughter tinkled through the air. "You have a natural talent, Annalise. With practice, your Honey Dew elixirs will become even more potent and powerful."
And so, under Pristine’s patient guidance, Annalise delved deeper into the secrets of the Honey Dew elixir and some other elixirs that were just as rare and powerful as Honey Dew elixir if not more.
As time passed and she continued to practice more, she honed her skills, mastering the art of infusing magic, morning dew, honey, and incantations into the elixir, each batch growing stronger than the last. The same progress was seen in other elixirs as well but there were definitely some mistakes here and there.
By the time they finished for the day, it was already past breakfast hour and Annalise heard people calling her name as they searched for her. The Dark Lords definitely felt her presence in the garden but it seemed like they were unable to see Annalise because of some spell that Pristine used to hide them from prying eyes.
"I should leave now. Will find you soon." And just with these words, Pristine’s silhouette disappeared into thin air along with her spell.
