Chapter 194: Not Just A Nightmare

A loud gasp left Annalise’s lips as her eyes flew open and she immediately sat up on the bed. She hurriedly looked at her hand only to find that it was totally fine and not a single wound or prick could be seen anywhere on either of her palms. Assessing herself, it seemed like what she just experienced was nothing but a dream. However, she couldn’t stop thinking about how real everything seemed just a couple of moments ago.

"Are you alright, Annalise?" The soft voice that pulled her out of her shock belonged to none other than Valerius.

Annalise turned to look at the man who had also moved to a sitting position next to her, a serious and worried look was decorating his handsome morning face with his long disheveled silver hair falling over his broad shoulders.

Without wasting even a single second, she threw herself into his arms and buried herself in the warm security of his embrace. And while Valerius was clearly a little bit taken aback by her sudden action, he didn’t waste even a second to wrap his arms around her and hug her back.

He rubbed her spinee softly as he allowed her to use him as her stress reliever. He threaded his long and slender fingers into her long hair and brushed them down through her hair.

Annalise searched for her shared bonds with her husbands and found them instantly this time unlike what happened in that dream-like thing that she previously experienced in her sleep. As soon as she found the dark lords’ presences, she tugged on them hurriedly and felt all three men responding at once.

Valerius’ arms tightened around her as he responded to her call and both his ice and air moved to surround her from both inside and outside.

Kenric who was sleeping on her other side was also up by this point and his fire and earth were also surrounding her. On the other hand, Damien was not either on the bed or anywhere in the huge bed-chamber, his presence was somewhere on the ground floor but even he responded immediately as his shadow joined his brothers’ elements and cocooned her.

A deep sigh left Annalise’s lips as she finally started calming down because of the comfort and protection that her husbands’ provided. She could feel through the bonds that even though they barely had any idea about what was wrong with her, they were still ready to do anything yo help her in whatever way she wanted.

"What’s wrong with her?" The voice belonged to Damien as he too appeared in the room and considering how quick he was, he probably used teleportation.

Annalise felt him taking a place on the bed on he’d right just next to her legs and then she felt his hand on her feet as he pushed more of his shadow energy into their shared soulmate bond.

"I’m not really sure. She was sleeping soundly just a moment ago and then I suddenly felt her stirring with a frown on her face. I was about to wake her up but she woke up on her own right at that moment in this disturbed state." Valerius answered as he continued to rub her back with fo much warmth and softness that Annalise was almost lured into another sleep if not for the fact that she was a little bit scared of closing her eyes at the moment.

She placed her palm against Valerius’ bare chest, the same one that got pricked and fed upon in her dream-like reality. Feeling his cold and smooth skin right against her skin made her forget about the bad memory of her palm being pricked and the pain she experienced there.

A shudder of pure fear ran down her spine as she suddenly recalled the exact moment when the trunk pricked her palm znd started feeding on her. However, the bad memory was soon pulled away from her when Valerius squeezed her lightly and one of Kenric’s hands moved to rest on her shoulder.

Damien also started lightly massaging her feet and it was pretty clear that they were trying to distract her from thinking about whatever bad memory she was storing in her mind.

"Princess, we all are here with you, no need to worry about anything." Damien whispered softly as he played with her toes and almost made her giggle at the slightest hint of tickling from him.

"Little Bird, can you tell us what’s worrying you do much?" Kenric requested softly in her ear as he rested his chin over her shoulder and slipped one of his hands to wrap around her waist as Valerius gave him some space.

Annalise took in a deep breath to stable her thoughts and finally when she thought that she could speak, she answered, "I think it was just a nightmare... but..."

When she didn’t cobtinue after that ’but’, Kenric was the first one to press her for an answer. "Little Bird, tell us everything that’s in your mind, don’t keep things in your heart and worry over them all alone."

Annalise had to take another deep breath before she finished, "... but I have s strong feeling that I actually experienced all this. It was too real to be just a mere nightmare."

She pulled away from their arms to finally look at her husbands and felt Kenric adjusting the blanket around her collarbone. It was only then did she realize that she was completely naked beneath the blanket along with Kenric and Valerius. Damien was the only one who had clothes on, but this realization didn’t divert her attention or made her feel awkward.

"Everything that I felt in that dream-like thing was too real and... painful... to be considered a dream." She barely finished her words before all three of her husbands were almost on their feet in worry.

"Are you hurt? But I can’t feel any pain coming from you, nor any hint of blood." Kenric was the first one to raise the question.
