Chapter 158: Preparing The Guest Rooms

A small moan slipped through Annalise’s lips as she parted them slightly to allow Damien’s tongue to sweep inside her mouth as he deepened the kiss. She felt one of his hands moving over her shoulder before it came to rest on her nape as he angled her face to his heart’s desire and kissed her like there was nothing else existing in the world other than the two of them.

She was still in Kenric’s arms while her other husband was kissing her passionately and even though the kiss lasted only for quite a few long minutes, it was still more than enough to fill her entire body with a buzz that made her want to forget about everything else and only focus on the feeling of just how good the kiss made her feel.

When Damien finally pulled away to allow her to breathe, she was already feeling the loss and a protest was right on the tip of her tongue but somehow she succeeded in not showing too much of her inner emotions on her face, or at least that was what she thought before realization hit her.

She completely forgot that she shared a bond with Damien and was also linked with Kenric which meant that both the men were aware of exactly what she wanted.

And seeing the smirks on their faces, she immediately realized that she had been taken advantage of by both the dark lords. She suddenly found herself at a complete loss for words to say to either of them and her checks were alreadt turning bright red as she felt a little bit embarrassed.

So, instead of saying anything to them, she hastily pulled away from both men and started heading out of the parlor and toward the staircase leading to the upper floors. "We don’t have much time to waste. I need to get the guest rooms ready." She didn’t wait to hear their response and just ran toward her destination, not sparing even a single glance behind until she was already on the first floor.

She didn’t see either Kenric or Shadow following her which ultimately helped her in calming down a little bit. However, if she thought that she would be able to get away from them then it was nothing but her wishful thinking.

The very moment she ascended the stairs leading to the second floor and appeared at the entrance of the very first guest room, her gaze landed on the two men who were already inside the room, clearly waiting for her.

"You are finally here, let’s get started with the work because we don’t have enough time to waste." Kenric was clearly teasing her and it only made Annalise feel more embarrassed and she almost wanted to disappear for a while.

She chose to ignore the two men for the time being and focused her attention on the room that she had assigned to Ezra. Sera and Garron had already cleaned the entire second floor recently, so the room looked really neat and clean.

She moved inside the room and looked for the basket of supplies that she asked Sera and Garron to put inside each guestroom that they had to prepare for their guests. She found what she was looking for and pulled out the new dark blue curtains that Mr. Warren just bought from the capital market.

"Here, start with hanging these drapes over the windows and the door. Once you are done with that, get the flower pots snd vases over here." She told the men while handing the curtains to her them.

The dark lords actually appeared impressed for a fleeting instant before they accepted the task and headed to complete the task that she had just told them to do.

If it had been the Annalise from the past, she wouldn’t even dare to dream of making her husbands do such house works let alone ordering them around just because she was mad and embarrassed.

Thankfully, she was no longer the same as her past self and she felt no remorse while making the lords of the castle do the housework along with her. She needed the extra hands and if those hands belonged to two very strong and magically powerful men then she was more than happy to have them help her with the work.

She was actually expecting them to use their magical powers to get the work done in just seconds but was surprised to see them actually doing the work on their own without any involvement of their powers.

While the men got busy with their work, Annalise started preparing the bed. She spread the new bedsheet over the comforter and changed the covers of the pillows, a new velvet blanket was also added to the bed which matched perfectly with the dark blue color of the new curtains.

Next, she moved to set up the dressing table in front of the mirror beside the bedside table while Kenric and Damien took out the special vases and flower pots, that Valerius had prepared for the guest rooms, and arranged them around the room.

Candles, some expensive decoration showpieces, portraits and paintings of beautiful landscapes, and a couple of books were the next few items to be added to the room to make it appear livelier. The last two things that they set up in the room were the fireplace and the soft rugs on the floor.

Once they were done preparing Ezra’s room, the three of them headed into the next room to get it prepared for Marley who was assigned the second guest room next to Ezra’s, allowing the two dragon shifters to stay close by.

This room was almost arranged similar to Ezra’s except for the color of the curtains, rugs, blankets, bedsheets, and all, which were deep green compared to the dark blue in Ezra’s bedroom.

The third room was actually located a little bit farther from Ezra and Marley’s rooms as there was also a parlor built between them to entertain the guests without them moving to the ground floor everything they wanted to enjoy a discussion together.
