Annalise wasn’t sure exactly how she was expecting Valerius or her other two husbands to react to her confession but the proud smiles that they all gave her were definitely not on her list.

Valerius was the first one to speak as the man took another step closer to her and took hold of both her hands before speaking, "You did great, Annalise. Today, you finally showed us your true side, the confident and independent woman that you have been trying to hide all this time. We all are very proud of you."

Annalise just stared at him with a dumbfounded look on her face. Who would have thought that while she had been worrying the entire day that her husbands would be angry for all the decisions she made, they were actually happy to her complete surprise?

"You aren’t angry?" She found herself asking as she wanted to assure herself that they weren’t really mad at her.

She heard Kenric and Damien chuckling while Valerius smiled warmly as he replied, "We would have been angry if we wouldn’t have been aware of what was going on, but we knew everything and also that you only left because you thought that we were aware. Besides, you did a great job in taking care of yourself, so we decided to rather motivate you instead of reprimanding you."

Annalise finally found herself relaxing as the fear left her and she was finally able to bask in the compliments that she was receiving from her husbands. After all, it was hard-earned by her and it wasn’t daily when she could hear her husbands praising her instead of reprimanding her.

"But you have to remember Annalise..." Valerius’ voice suddenly turned serious as he pulled her attention to him, "... make sure to not do something like this next time without informing at least one of us. No matter how important a situation would be, you have to make sure to inform at least one of us before you will take any action. We worry about you and you have to remember that your safety is not only related to only you anymore... it’s related to the three of us too."

Annalise quickly nodded her head in agreement as she had no plans of allowing the moment to turn serious. The sooner she would agree to their terms, the sooner they would stop talking about those serious stuff. Besides, she wasn’t agreeing only because she wanted to be done with the serious talk but also because she understood where they were coming from. It’s similar to how she felt toward the three of them, protective and probably... possessive too.

Valerius finally pulled her into his arms and gave her the warm hug that she had been yearning for. She still felt surprised to find his hugs so warm when his body was actually so cold all the time but at least, now she knew why his body had different temperatures even when he had an ice core.

She snaked her arms around his waist and hugged him in return as she allowed herself to relax in his familiar arms which felt like the safest place for her. "What is this place? And how did I end up here?" She finally asked as her eyes once again landed on the beautiful scenery.

She felt someone stepping closer to her from behind and then soft fingers were removing her curls away from her shoulder. "This is the entrance of the Mer Court and we brought you here through the dream spell." It was Kenric who answered her but he wasn’t the one standing behind her.

All her thoughts and questions left her mind the very moment a warm pair of soft lips touched the sensitive skin of her neck and made her breath sharply as she felt sparks erupting all over her body just from that mere touch.

"We missed you so much, Princess. Did you miss us too?" Damien asked as his hands slid down the outer robe from her shoulders. The garment landed at their feet and then she felt his fingers trailing down her bare shoulders and arms.

A shaky breath left her lips as she felt Kenric joining the fun and it was him who made her turn her face to the side before his lips claimed hers in a deep passionate kiss.

Their hands were all over her body, touching her, soothing her, and feeding to the hungry bond that had been deprived of their warmth for so many long hours. It was at that moment when she realized that they went this far to meet her through the dream spell only to take care of her.

She was so busy the entire day to pay attention to the bonds that she shared with her husbands. Since she and Damien had just completed their bonds, the two of them needed to stay together to let their bonds adjust but she was away from him for so many hours. The same could be said about her bond with Valerius and while it was nothing compared to her bond with Damien, she still needed him just as much.

As for Kenric, while she didn’t share any bond with him yet, it didn’t mean she missed him any less than the others. And them not being around her wasn’t the only problem, the fact that her connection with them was cut off for so long also started wearing her down.

It was only now when they were with her and her bonds were back to life, that she realized just how much she needed them to survive the night and the coming journey.

Her thoughts dispersed when she felt Valerius’ mouth on her shoulder before he started trailing kisses down her collarbone while her nightgown slipped down from her body, leaving her bare to her husbands who immediately surrounded her to shield her from the cold breeze.

And then, two pairs of mouths descended over her erect nipples at the very same time...
