However, to her surprise, she was alone in the room, with Lu Yichen not present.

Just as she was thinking about this, the door to the room opened, and Lu Yichen walked in.

As soon as he entered and saw Zhong Niangyao sitting up, a flash of joy appeared in his eyes. He quickly approached and examined her carefully, “How are you feeling now?”

“The Enchanting Demon has been completely destroyed,” Lu Yichen spoke in a tone devoid of any fluctuations, as if he were discussing someone else’s problem.

Zhong Niangyao was a bit surprised.

Just as she was about to speak, there was a knock on the door.

“Come in!”

After receiving permission, the door was pushed open again, and in came Jiang Ruoyao.

She first peeked in from outside the door, and then carefully poked her head in to look around before speaking, “Sister, are you alright now?”

Embarrassed, Jiang Ruoyao scratched her head and then walked in.

However, upon entering, she still cautiously avoided Lu Yichen and found a spot beside the bed to sit down.

Zhong Niangyao, watching the lively Jiang Ruoyao, smiled and asked, “How are you now? You must have been scared that day!”

During the conversation, Zhong Niangyao gave Lu Yichen a meaningful glance.
