He arrived at Jane’s place and rang the door bell twice before Rose opened up.

Her eyes had a boring expression as she looked at the man, "I believe this is not Anna’s penthouse Mr or are you by any chance lost?"

Her words were completely sarcastic and Edward could clearly see her mocking face.

"Get out of the way Rose, where is Jane?" Edward felt pissed off hearing her words but he had to hold his anger before he accomplishes what he came here for.

"Rose! Whose at the door?" Jane’s voice rang from inside the house making Edward’s eyes light up.

"Jane! It’s me Edward, can we please talk?"

Jane stopped what she was doing and headed towards Edward.

"My, my, my, lost your way Mr Chen? Or isn’t Anna’s service enough?"

Her voice carried the same sarcastic tone just like Rose’s.

Edward felt his throat running dry when he looked at the woman before him, in her black tank top and her pair of shorts she looked so.. ravishing.

He could clearly see her curves, her white thighs, her long slender legs, her navel... damn!

Rose who was following the man’s line of sight burst out laughing, "Regretting your choices Huh Mr? You threw away some super fine lady and decided to recycle plastic so stop staring at my bestfriend before I gorge out those two things you call eyes."

Her cold voice brought the man back to reality.

"Can I come inside? I have something to talk to you about." He directly ignored Rose and looked at Jane.

"I do not welcome strangers into my house Mr Chen. Whatever you have to say, you can say it right now and right here or kindly leave."

Jane did not budge as she looked at him but deep down she was wondering what is happen to her.

Initially she used to feel pain looking at the man who cheated on her without even blinking an eye but right now, her heart doesn’t even pain though her trust in men has never been the same.

"My company is facing some problem with the recent bidding we made... We used most of the resources for the bid which was supposed to be ours but it was taken by some confectionery company..."

"Can you please support us from the front so that we can atleast win the bid back or at least recover our resources."

Jane looked at him before finally speaking, "You might have been set up or something, try investigating as see how you will help yourself because there is no way I am risking my company for a stranger."

Her tone was firm, just like how she spoke to most of the people in the business world.

Edward could not believe what he was hearing, a stranger?

"We are not strangers Jane, look I still love you and I know you love me too, you can help me out for the sake of our relationship Jane..."

He was cut off by Jane who wore a lazy smile,

"Really? You really love me?"

Edward’s eyes lit up hearing that, so she loves him! He could not let go off this opportunity.

"Yes Jane, I really do love you, right now if you give me a chance we can always get back together baby, I...."

"That is a sweet speech Mr Chen but it doesn’t affect me because I do not love you and I don’t think I even ever did. If you are done sweet talking me which by the way is absolute nonsense, please leave."

Edward’s eyes rounded in shock but before he could even reply, a manly figure rushed past him and pulled Jane into a hug and what surprised him more is that the girl did not resist his touch.

Liam, who had just arrived with what seemed like groceries heard Edward telling his woman he loves her! His jealous button was immediately pressed and to top on it, his baby girl was looking so damn sexy right now!

Liam couldn’t allow Edward to continue spouting nonsense. Because Jane had not accepted him, he was afraid letting him near her incase he wanted to rekindle whatever they used to have.

He quickly brushed past him and pulled her for a hug. The girl did not resist his hug making him feel happy and delighted.

With his hand on her bare waist and the other one holding the grocery bag, he greeted Rose, directly ignoring Edward whose mouth was completely open as he stared at him in shock.

"I am sorry for being late babe, I had to find the best lamb chops for you because I know how much you love lamb chops." Liam said placing a kiss on her forehead.

Jane looked at the man and smiled back at him knowing the man was trying to help her out.

He then turned to Edward and his attitude took a 360 degrees turn.

"Right Mr Chen, if you are going to continue standing and lusting over my woman, I will make sure that that bidding won’t be the only thing you lose."

Edward was now scared, confused and shocked. He watched as Liam led Jane in and the girl did not even bother defending him. She even smiled at Liam!

He was left outside contemplating on what to do next, he is not a fool to provoke Yang cooperation lest his family loses everything but he was a fool not to evaluate Liam’s words earlier, and their exact meaning.
