Chapter 42: A WOMAN?

The day came to a peaceful end with many retiring to their homes.

Liam arrived at his penthouse but did not get in first as he was waiting for Jane to come back. He wanted to at least catch a glimpse of her. Minutes later, he heard the sound of an engine and realized she was back.

He waited until she arrived so that he can pretend to also arrive, the poor man just wanted to see her, to smell her vanilla scent...

Jane arrived seeming exhausted from all the day’s work and the many mysteries pilling up her head. She was continuously rubbing her head in a circular motion.

She had just come out of the elevator when she spotted Liam standing outside his door, going through something on his phone.

It has been a day since she saw him but the man looked dashing as always. Sigh! Handsome men!

She decided not to bother him and open her door but suddenly she started feeling dizzy.

She was going down her knees when she heard someone shouting her name but blacked out immediately.

Liam who was standing, pretending to be on his phone noticed as the girl gave him a glance and proceeded to open her door but he suddenly saw her going down on her knees.

"Jane!" He shouted as he ran towards her. He did not even need to be pushed, it all happened reflexively.

He picked her up and thought for a minute before taking her to his penthouse.

He laid her on the couch first and rushed back to close her door before picking her handbag and taking it with him.

He carried her to his own bedroom and laid her on the bed.

Liam has never taken care of somebody so he was clueless on what to do. He touched her forehead to check on her temperature and that was when he realized she was burning!

He rushed to his bathroom and got a wet piece of cloth and brought it back, placing it on her forehead. He proceeded to untie her hair, letting it spread beautifully on his pillow.

’She is so pretty!’ That was all he was seeing but then something struck him! He forgot to call a doctor due to the panic earlier.

He took his phone and immediately called Dan, "Get the family doctor immediately!" He hung up without even waiting for an answer.

Liam took the piece of cloth and made it wet again, returning it to its original place. He then took off her stilletos and massaged her legs a little. They were so soft! He took off her blazer and jewellery, laying them on the bedside table.

He took his time and started observing her. Her long beautiful lashes, her beautiful kissable lips, her beautiful flawless face. She looked a little pale but that did not make her lose her beauty.

’How beautiful would it be making you my woman Jane? Just look at you, so pretty and wonderful at the same time. You do not even need makeup my queen.’

He softly caressed her face when he heard the door bell. He picked his tablet and saw Dan and a middle aged man outside his penthouse.

He gave Jane a look before going to get the door.

When he opened the door, they both bowed down and greeted him at the same time.

"Good evening President."

"Good evening Young Master."

Liam just nodded and made some way letting them in.

Dan was afraid when he received his president’s call thinking he was sick but the man before him looked very much healthy.

He picked some vanilla scent immediately he got in and before his mind could wonder further, he saw a handbag.

’A WOMAN?’

The middle aged man, Mr su, The Yangs personal doctor was amazed seeing a handbag in his young master’s house but he knew better than to ask any questions.
