Chapter 177: My love

"So you are all eating without me huh? Even you wifey?" Ian’s voice echoed the dining room and as if she was possessed, Mary found herself standing and rushing towards the man, jumping on him and crossing her legs on his waist hugging him tightly. Ian was caught unaware but the man was able to reflexively catch her on time as he hugged her back with the same amount of energy, a huge smile plastered on his face.

"Wooah Babe I’m here I am back I’m sorry I took long I missed you so much." Ian replied back as if it was the most natural thing for him to do. "Aaah! Honey! Look at them! " Mother Mo tugged her husband’s shirt excitedly as she fangirled over the couple, taking care not to startle them though.

Something both Ian and Mary did not realize was that their distance and the fact that they had not seen each other in a month made them miss each other secretly and for Mary, her feelings for Ian were slowly sprouting without her knowledge.

After what seemed like forever, Mary finally broke the hug as she got down from her man but for reasons best known to herself, she had blush all over her cheeks. Ian did not want to embarrass her and therefore proceeded to greet his parents before they both settled down for their meal.

The dining room was lively with all the stories they shared and what the couple did not Know was that deep down, their parents were thanking heavens because of Mary. They knew their son was not talkative but since Mary existence in his life, the man can even smile at the utensils without caring.

"Mom, dad, I will be taking my wife together with me tonight..no. no.. mom, no excuses." Ian spoke to his parents after the meal but before his mother could clap back, he had to make sure his point was heard and no one opposed it.

The man knew that his mother was kind of mad at him but he knew he also wanted to spend his time with his wife. Mary on the other hand was having different thoughts on how she was going to spend the night with him knowing for a fact that this was going to be the first time the two shared a bed after their marriage.

The moment they both got into his car, Ian looked at her as he smiled. "I never knew you have feelings for me. I don’t know if they are feelings but I’m so happy that you could miss me to an extent of running and jumping on me right before my parents eyes, I mean that was so hot!"

The man spoke in an excited tone that instead of Mary getting angry or shy or feeling embarrassed, she just laughed it off but at the same time she knew deep down that she was happy seeing him smile and if she was to be honest, she knew she really missed him and she knew she never regretted jumping on him before their parents or the fact that she did not bother to hide that she missed him.

"I am glad you are happy and I am happy that you came back safe. How was your mission... my...love?" Mary asked and immediately looked away before the man suddenly stopped the car leading to a loud screech and scaring the girl in the process. Dude! do you want to get us killed?" Mary shouted because she realized that the car stopped suddenly and she did not put her seatbelt on but Ian looked at her shocked, not even answering her question.

"Did..did you just call me your love or am I perhaps having a hearing problem?" The man asked as he tried to focus looking at her face trying to read her and seeing whether she really called him that or whether he was hallucinating and the moment Mary looked away seemingly having a smile on her face the man knew that he had heard her right and that she really use an endearing term on him.

Ian started jumping on his seat and his reaction right now was no different to that of a kid being given candy or to that of someone who has been desiring something for long and finally having a chance to get it. Mary couldn’t help but laugh at the man’s reaction and at the same time she felt relieved because she did not know where the term came from but deep down she knew she meant it. Someone caught feelings earlier it seemed.

"Let me drive us home first my beautiful, pretty...eerr... everything in this world wife and then we will talk about this clearly because if I start doing anything right now I swear we are never going to get home! I’m so excited!!" Ian spoke and before Mary could even load everything, the car took off in a great speed and within minutes they were both home but the couple did not realize that a paparazzi was lurking around and was able to take a video of Ian’s reaction, not just a photo.
