Due to the nature of her other work, Mary has always learnt to be careful with her surroundings and she definitely ended up feeling a pair of eyes carefully checking her out.

The girl inwardly sighed and turned around, staring at Ian.

She almost chocked on her own saliva when she looked at those eyes. She was sure she had met that man somewhere but she couldn’t recall where.

"Mr, If you are done checking me out would you please take your eyes off me?"

She quickly regained her confidence but Ian noticed the little shock on her face and he inwardly smirked, ’She really is the one.’

He stood up smiling and cleared his throat, "Well Ma’am, sorry for that but my parents just taught me to admire perfectly made things in life.."

He said as he extended his arm towards her but he did not know the girl’s mind was not functioning the moment she heard his voice.

Mary clearly remembered the man’s voice when they bumped into each other as she was leaving club X and she was now sure that the man was the same one who intently stared at her while her eyes were still red.

’What if he knows my secret?’

The girl was actually super nervous but couldn’t let it show. What she did not know is that despite being able to conceal her emotions, the man before her was reading everything, even the smallest details.

She looked at him before extending her hand too but Ian pulled her closer and whispered,

"Hello Reaper..."

Mary’s eyes widened in shock and with no time, she had pinned the man on the wall as she fiercely stared at him, struggling to control her level of anger.

Ian’s words might have been whispered, but Liam heard everything clearly and the man’s eyes widened in shock. So that is how she knew the cause of the accident and how she had that poison, the girl had access to all these things all her life.

’Wait... how did these two even know each oth...never mind’ The man tried reasoning but upon seeing the way Ian, A whole major general was pinned and being strangled, he stopped thinking and relaxed back on his seat.

"Who the f*ck are you?"

Mary asked as she choked the man who was now struggling to point at his neck indicating he needed to breathe.

She gave him a stern look before reducing the amount of strength she was using but did not take her hands off.

"What a ..cough... generous... way to greet your major general woman."

The man tried speaking but the word major general alerted the girl once again.

"What piece of Shit are you talking about? What major...ohh shoot!"

The girl started her question well but when she turned to Liam and saw the man nodding his head, she felt as if she was running out of air.

She quickly let go off the man as her level of confidence dropped. Ian is her enemy by all rights, she is a murderer and he saves people, they are two opposite poles.

She gave him a chilly smile, "Well it was not a pleasure to meet you Mr general but now that you know my identity, stay away from me lest you become my next target and trust me big boy, I will win."

She turned around and walked towards the door but the man just stared at her and smirked.

"Uum.. Liam... what is going on? Who exactly is Mary?" Jane asked in a confused manner but Ian answered her instead of Liam.

"You are in the business world but I am sure you have mixed with the underworld once in a while."

Jane nodded to his words as he was telling the truth.

Ian smiled as he asked her, "Are you familiar with The reaper?"

Jane nodded but seemed excited hearing that name.

"Well, I witnessed the reaper once in a bar, her eyes turning to and from red as she dealt with her target, apparently the Xi family."

Jane’s eyes widened in shock.. ’You mean Mary..."

Ian nodded to her words. "So that is why she asked for that file.."

She whispered to herself but the men heard her and asked at the same time,

"What file?"

Jane explained about the file Mary asked for and in between, Ian got to know about the girl’s identity as a Huang. He couldn’t help but smile at how brave she actually was, the girl was out on a journey to revenge for her kin.

Mary on the other hand was restless and nervous.

"Why am I even nervous? What can he even do to me, he can go to hell for all I care."

She regained her confidence and bounced back to work as she thought of ways to deal with the man incase he decides to become trouble.

"Dad, how can we accept to lose? There are people trying to step on us intentionally because of all these, I just want to kill them all!!"

Inside the Xi mansion, Derick spoke as he threw the glass of wine he was holding, making it break into a thousand pieces.

John Xi seemed to have aged years as used his hands to support his head.

Since Cynthia was brutally exposed, they have been in the light every single day and most of their enemies can’t stop attacking their company.

"Note all the people attacking us son, I have a special gift for them. And while you are at that, try everything you can to get into contact with that deadly woman, eeergh.. The reaper... we can pay her to do our dirty job."

John Xi spoke as he stood from his chair, his wife and daughter just staring at him.
