Chapter 19: Chapter 19 Embarrassment

"What bed?"

A reflexive question.

Clearly, those two haven’t caught on yet.

Rong Zhi leaned against the spiral staircase, her voice indifferent, "Delivery."

Rong Meng was completely clueless.

Delivery, what delivery?

Ying Man suddenly remembered.

A while ago, Lu Zhao had sent two large boxes from the old mansion. She was doing SPA at the villa and was startled to see someone from the old mansion, only to find out it was Rong Zhi’s stuff.

Upon opening, it was bed parts.

Rong Zhi sending a bed over for no reason, anyone naive would think the Rong Family was mistreating her, not allowing her accommodation.

Ying Man lost face in front of her friends, so she took charge of installing the bed. After the housekeeper left, she had the boxes thrown out.

She didn’t feel it was excessive, it was just a bed, she could buy another.

Hearing Ying Man say she threw the bed away,

Rong Zhi’s fingertips tightened around her phone, her eyes slightly narrowing, "Who allowed you to mess with my things?"

"Brother," Rong Meng suddenly spoke, "talk to Mom properly, don’t be so harsh."

She thought similarly to Ying Man, it’s just a bed, was Rong Zhi really that bothered?

Ying Man was irritated by Rong Zhi’s disrespectful attitude towards her elders, her expression was ugly, "Thrown is thrown, I’m your mother, your elder, what’s wrong with touching your things?"

Her tone was self-assured, not feeling she did anything wrong.

Rong Zhi’s gaze met Ying Man’s, her expression indifferent.

Ying Man’s heartbeat skipped a beat.

The shattered sunlight was captured in those eyes, pale as cold moonlight, giving her a sense of being completely exposed.

As if every dark corner of her heart had been fully discerned.

Rong Zhi looked at her briefly, lowered her gaze, curled her lips into a profound smile, turned and went upstairs.

Ying Man was stunned for a long time, only until Rong Zhi’s figure completely vanished did Rong Meng lightly pat her arm, bringing her back to reality.

She nervously patted her chest, a difficult-to-describe embarrassment overtaking all her emotions.

"What kind of look was that?!"

...

Around eight in the morning, Rong Zhi awoke heavily.

Her wrist supporting against her forehead, her head pounding.

She glanced at her phone screen to check the time.

She had slept less than three hours.

After a moment, she got out of bed, put on her slippers, and went to wash up.

Passing through the living room, the Rong Family members, seeing Rong Zhi’s enveloping low mood, didn’t dare to stop her.

As usual, she went to the hospital to accompany Rong Jiazze, then lay on the sofa to catch up on sleep, only becoming more awake.

Frustrated, she pressed her swelling eyebrows and instructed Aunt Xue to take care of Rong Jiazze while she went down to the eighth floor to the psychiatry department.

Psychiatry department head office.

Doctor Lin Xingteng was giving a lecture to the intern doctor when the office door was gently knocked.

"Come in."

A youthful figure entered with light.

He wore black trousers, straight and long legs, a smog-blue hoodie, sleeves rolled to the elbows, revealing his delicate wrist.

On his wrist was a sandalwood Buddha hand bracelet wrapped five times, radiating a sense of calm coldness.

Looking up, there was a stunningly exquisite face.

Qingyang brushed across his cheeks lightly with golden light, illuminating overly beautiful brows. He seemed like an ancient deity emerging from mist, stunning the ordinary world.

The intern doctor was directly taken aback.

He wasn’t sure if the light was reflecting from the golden pearls of the Buddha bracelet or if the young man naturally emitted light.

Lin Xingteng blinked, pulled himself together, and pushed up his gold-framed glasses, chuckling lightly, "Mr. Rong."

He gestured for the intern doctor to leave first.

The intern doctor reluctantly left the office, notebook in hand, looking back with every step.

Lin Xingteng pointed to the chair in front of the desk, "Sit."

Rong Zhi obediently pulled out the chair and sat down.

Lin Xingteng studied the cool and indifferent young man in front of him, carrying an air of restraint.

When the young man didn’t smile, he appeared extremely aloof.

He lowered his eyes, speaking softly, "What brings Mr. Rong to me?"

Rong Zhi crossed her long legs, her hand lightly tapping the armrest, "I would like Doctor Lin to prescribe some medication."

"Medication? Is Mr. Rong ill?"

Lin Xingteng was momentarily surprised, then scrutinized Rong Zhi again.

This time, he noticed a strong discord in the young man’s beautiful eyes, bloodshot.

Lin Xingteng furrowed his brows, opened the drawer for the prescription pad, and habitually asked, "Is Mr. Rong simply deprived of sleep or suffering from insomnia?"

Rong Zhi: "I haven’t slept well."

Lin Xingteng quickly wrote the prescription.

"Try taking these first, and if it doesn’t help, we’ll adjust. You can take a foot bath before sleeping at night as well."

Rong Zhi nodded, took the prescription with thanks, and left.

...

Four in the afternoon, Capital International Airport.

After taking the sleeping pills Lin Xingteng prescribed, Rong Zhi finally got some rest and felt much better.

She had just sent the hospital’s ambulance off and was now sitting in the car Old Sir Rong had sent, waiting, when her phone rang and she answered.

"Senior Sister, we’ve arrived at the airport, where should we find you?"

Because she wasn’t on the same route with He Songzhi, Fu Yaoyao and Rong Fengmian were on a different flight, arriving later.

Rong Zhi reported a gate.

A few minutes later, the car window was gently knocked.

She rolled down the window, revealing a delicate doll-like face.

"Senior Sister!"

Fu Yaoyao smiled sweetly, her round shiny almond eyes clear and bright, her soft cherry lips slightly curved, as if you could smell the scent of melting honey.

"Senior Sister, open the trunk for my brother to put the luggage."

After Rong Fengmian finished loading the luggage, the two of them got into the car.

Rong Zhi turned the steering wheel and left the airport.

"I asked a friend to buy a house near the school. Do you want to stay at the school or there?" Rong Zhi asked as she drove, "You’ll only know about the dorm after you see it when school starts."

Fu Yaoyao had received her postgraduate diploma from MS University of Technology last year, and Rong Zhi’s question was directed at Rong Fengmian in the back seat.

The fifteen-year-old boy had delicate features, still youthful, wearing a black headset around his neck, dressed in white casual clothes, with clear eyes and a gentle demeanor.

Rong Fengmian slightly furrowed his brows, "We’ll see, sis, where are you living now? With the Rong Family?"

Rong Zhi nodded, "Yes, for now."

Fu Yaoyao leaned in to suggest, "How about this, my brother and I will live near the school; it’ll be convenient to visit Aunt He, and you can come over whenever you have time."

Rong Zhi had no objection, and Rong Fengmian, seeing her agree, although feeling a bit sour about it, didn’t oppose.

Arriving at Huqing District, before getting out of the car, Rong Zhi tapped her finger on the steering wheel, her eyes slightly narrowing, "From now on, call me brother in front of others."

Although her gender didn’t matter to her, until the Rong Family had figured out her identity, she’d use a male identity.

Thinking about it, Rong Zhi felt inexplicably sarcastic.

Her identity hadn’t been concealed, they could have found out if they’d cared to investigate.

But the Rong Family remained oblivious, or perhaps it was just a lack of effort, not wanting to invest in her.

When she signed the contract at Seventh Sense, her ID clearly showed ’female’ under gender.

The boss saw she attracted customers in male attire and insisted she appear as male.

The Rong Family never bothered to inquire at the bar.

Perhaps they were embarrassed by her bar work, unwilling to set foot inside.
