Chapter 62 - 62: Intent to Frame (2)

"In the bedroom," Amelia Miller nodded, "It seems there are clothes for you to see, regarding the birthday party dress."

"Really?"

Mia Ginger lowered her head to think, "I'll go take a look."

Over these four days, she and Zuri Ginger hadn't spoken much, and neither had mentioned the mall incident, seemingly easing the tension between them on the surface.

Mia Ginger thought as she walked, soon arriving at Zuri Ginger's bedroom.

Zuri Ginger liked warm tones like pink and purple, and the entire bedroom was arranged in a style akin to European classical nobility, marked by intricate patterns and delicate details as one of its major features.

Standing in it, one could almost feel like a sophisticated princess.

The bedroom was spacious, facing the sun. It was summer, and the lighting was excellent, coming through a layer of dreamy pale pink lace curtains, bathing the room in a hazy and romantic beauty.

Mia Ginger casually glanced around and stepped into the walk-in closet.

Zuri Ginger's closet was larger than hers; a wardrobe door was open, displaying an array of dresses in various styles and colors neatly lined up.

"These dresses were worn at previous birthday parties," Zuri Ginger said with a smile as Mia entered, "Since they were custom-made by our parents, I've kept them all, and now there's quite a collection."

"Did you call me here for something?" Mia Ginger felt a sting from the smile on her face and directly asked.

"Just to look at the dresses." Zuri Ginger pulled out a dress, removed the protective clear bag, and with a conflicted expression said, "These past few years, my several dresses were all by the same designer. Do you like this style? If not, let me know early, or it could be too late. It's already somewhat late anyway. Mine has been in preparation for two months."

"I don't like it." Mia Ginger casually smiled, "Pink, yellow, purple, and orange, I don't really like these colors."

"Girls." Zuri Ginger glanced at her white thin T-shirt, smiled indifferently, "Mostly like these warm tones, it gives a feeling of being cherished."

"It's just a dress, if it's too late, forget it." Mia Ginger said.

"I initially thought, since you're so slim, if you like this style, maybe one of my older dresses could do for a day."

Zuri Ginger reached out to close the wardrobe, "You don't like it, so forget it. Custom clothes are quite troublesome and take time, I'll let mom know, and we'll go to the mall together another day."

"Anything else?"

"Nothing much." Zuri Ginger shrugged towards her.

Mia Ginger turned and went back to her room.

The good mood she originally had was diminished significantly after this conversation.

Even if she repeatedly reminded herself not to care, it didn't matter, the bitterness in her heart couldn't quite be dispelled. She lifted her head high.

And met Bob Ginger's gaze head-on.

Passed by each other.

"Wait." Bob Ginger suddenly called out to her.

"Something you need?" Mia Ginger turned and looked at him, asking.

"You..." Bob Ginger seemed conflicted, hesitated for a while, then awkwardly said, "Are you going to Brother Jackson's place later?"

"Yes."

"Nothing then." Bob Ginger raised his brow and said, "I was just asking casually."

"Oh."

Mia Ginger turned and went back to her room.

Feeling his words were somewhat strange, clearly he stopped her as if wanting to say something, yet changed the topic before speaking.

She pursed her lips and looked around, feeling uneasy, and began searching in her room.

Found something in her backpack.

She remembered it was the Jade Bracelet Zuri Ginger had bought for Charlotte Chester last time.

The color was a bright and translucent green.

Looked even prettier under the sunlight.
