Chapter 60 - 60 Weekend Appointment (2)

Charlotte Chester responded quickly and walked over.

Mia Ginger let go of her, grabbed some tissues to wipe her hands, and tossed them away with a smile towards Charlotte, "It's fine, I was just messing with him."

"This child." Charlotte glanced at Aiden Jiang, unable to get angry, still full of smiles, "It's almost time to eat, go wash your hands, everyone."

Mia nodded and was the first to go to the washroom.

Bob Ginger hugged one hand and groaned, but didn't dare to make any more sarcastic remarks.

Mia quickly finished dinner.

She went straight upstairs.

Sitting at her desk, she glanced at her phone.

July 29th.

Both she and Zuri Ginger's birthdays were on August 23rd. Only a month away, could she learn to dance in time?

She had never danced before and had no concept of it at all.

Mia turned on her computer and went online.

After a while, she hesitated and sent a text to Koa Jackson: "Brother Jackson, do you know how to waltz?"

The waltz is the first type of ballroom dance and is known as the "queen of dance" due to its solemn, elegant, and graceful nature.

Koa Jackson had studied abroad for many years, he should know, right?

As Mia thought this, the text alert had already sounded.

"Want to learn?"

"Yes," Mia replied, pressing her lips together, "I'm having a birthday party next month, is there enough time to learn?"

"It's not hard, I'll teach you on the weekend," Koa Jackson replied quickly.

Mia sent a smiley face emoji.

"Mia." Charlotte Chester entered, knocking on the door while holding a glass of milk.

"Yes." Mia put her phone aside, pressed the mouse to return to the computer homepage, stood up with a smile, and took the milk, placing it on the desk.

"Who were you texting?" Charlotte noticed her previous actions and asked softly.

"Just a classmate."

"Was it a male classmate or a female classmate?" Charlotte looked at her inquisitively, "It's so late already."

"It's not even nine yet." Mia glanced at the computer's clock.

"You're right." Charlotte pulled out a chair and sat down, hesitating slightly, then looked at her earnestly and said in a gentle voice, "I have something to ask you."

"Go ahead." Mia nodded.

"Have you... ever had a boyfriend before?"

"Why do you ask?" Mia rubbed her hands together, "No."

"Really?" Charlotte was a bit skeptical.

"Yes, really." Mia nodded confidently.

"Even if you had, it wouldn't matter," Charlotte's gaze drifted to the side as she smiled, "You're almost twenty, and Mom can understand these things. I didn't ask with any other intentions, just..."

She seemed slightly tongue-tied, "Nowadays, kids can be quite liberal once they're in a relationship. I'm just worried you might get deceived and not even realize it. So, you really haven't had one?"

Charlotte looked at her and said nothing.

"No." Mia turned her head away from Charlotte, speaking slowly, "You don't need to worry about that. I'm not a three-year-old child. I have my boundaries, and I've never had a boyfriend."

"That's good." Charlotte breathed a sigh of relief.

"Anything else?"

"Nothing else." Charlotte stood up and said, "I was just casually asking. I hope you and Koa have fewer conflicts in the future, nothing more. Don't mind it. Finish your milk and get to bed early."

"I understand." Mia nodded, watching her leave the room.
