The Throne Is Mine
Chapter 340

Chapter 340: Chapter 340

Amelia pinched herself to check if she was dreaming. It couldn’t be real that Killian agreed to have one of their children named after Lilith. She liked Lilith, but having her child named after a friend wasn’t something she planned to do. That child would never hear the end of it.

Amelia wished Lilith would be more suspicious about Killian quickly agreeing to this so she wouldn’t be the only person confused right now.

"Wonderful. I look forward to meeting a little Lilith Bune. All we need to do after that is get one of your children to marry mine and then we will be a true family. Where is your father? It is time for me to eat. Oh, to save you the trouble of worrying I will tell Lucifer before I do it. Be right back."

The moment Lilith vanished, Amelia turned to Killian for an explanation. Every day he tried to push Lilith away from her and now they were going to have a child named after Lilith? This had to be a demon pretending to be Killian.

"Explain now. Why would you agree to that?" Amelia asked.

"She said one of our children must be named after her. She wasn’t specific with which child. Each time she asks when our child will be given her name, we will say the next one. As the wife of the devil, she should learn how to make better deals. Why are you glaring at me when I found a loop in what she asked of us?" Killian asked, holding Amelia’s hand once more.

"Because that was evil of you. Now Lilith will be excited and looking forward to it. I would have rather said no so she doesn’t get her hopes up. I am going to assume that we cannot take it back so we will have to do as you said, but you will be the one telling her that the next child will have her name. I don’t want any parts of this since I wanted to tell her no. Are we clear?" Amelia questioned, holding out her right pinky for a deal to be made.

Killian hooked his pinky finger around her own to make the deal. He would gladly break Lilith’s heart each time she asked about the name of their child. Lilith had many children she could have named one after herself. His child would not be the poor unfortunate soul who had to suffer with being named after Lilith.

It was just as bad as naming one of his children Lucifer.

"Now that we have figured out what to do with my father, we should focus on us. Care to have dinner in our bedroom tonight? As much as I love how noisy dinner is, I wouldn’t mind being alone with you tonight. A good start to you being back in the castle without having to leave. I will get you a lot of grapes," Amelia said to entice him because of how much he liked the grapes here.

She thought he would love the wine just as much as he loved the grapes, but he stuck to the grapes. Whenever she did something to make him angry, she thought of bringing him a bowl of grapes to make him happy.

"Are you trying to seduce me? It is working if you are. If we are to have dinner in our bedroom, I don’t want to be disturbed. No Lilith, no problems about the kingdom you need to take care of, and no sleeping with your friends. It should only be me and you," Killian said, lifting her hand to kiss the back of it.

"It will just be the two of us. I will send everyone from being so near to our room. Do you mind making yourself scarce for the rest of the day? I would also like to start working on changing our room so it doesn’t look like it only belongs to me. It doesn’t feel like a man also owns the room. Maybe if I put a few swords that might make a big difference," Amelia considered.

She needed to move around many of the dresses that Gina brought into her closet to have more space for the clothes she wanted to buy for Killian. He didn’t bring enough clothes from the north to fill a closet and it was part of the reason Amelia didn’t feel like he considered this castle a home.

She had to make it feel like one since they would be spending a lot of time going back and forth between the north and this castle.

’What will I do about money?’ Amelia wondered.

She had to spend a lot to rebuild the kingdom. She could take money from the north since it now belonged to her as well, but the thought of having to use that money to buy a gift for her husband didn’t feel good.

’There should be some money left here that belongs to me. I will need to decide what to do with my grandmother’s houses and belongings. She has her own money outside of the castle. I should use it to help the people instead of taking too much from the north,’ Amelia thought.

There was nothing from her grandmother’s things that she wanted now though she had been so obsessed with them when she was younger. The jewellery, the crowns, the carriage, and so much more she had looked forward to her grandmother gifting her.

"Are you overthinking again?" Killian asked. He wanted to flick her forehead to get her attention, but her claws seemed sharp today so it was best that he did not mess with her.

"I was thinking about what I will do about my grandmother’s things. She has a few homes around the kingdom. Maybe her relatives will try to claim them, but she had said they would always be left to me. I doubt she had time to change that when I told her I was going to stay married to you. She had great wealth outside of being queen," said Amelia.

"I also have a home near the border. I had no one to tell me about it since I didn’t trust what my father would do if he knew that I bought it. I offer for Gina to stay here and look after it. She no longer had to be a maid, but she wanted to come with me to the north. I might offer it as a home she can reside in when she retires from being a maid."

"I don’t ever want to stay in my grandmother’s house and I don’t expect you to ever want to stay there. She must have it filled with holy water to keep demons out and I do not want to go through that burning feeling again. I will sell it one day and add the money to the castle. Regardless of what she thought about demons, she did care for the people," Amelia said, once again feeling down about her grandmother ended up.

She was probably the only one to think about Margaret and feel bad for how she ended up. Amelia wished to turn back time to when Margaret was someone she could lean on.

"So, you will find something to do while I decorate our room and prepare something special for us, right? It is okay to voice that you don’t want to be apart again. I was hoping I could do this before you returned so it would be a big surprise, but you came the moment I planned it," Amelia said, looking down at their hands as an idea came to mind.

She swung her hand back and forth to annoy him, but Killian did not react to it.

"I will speak with Alastor while you are busy. I look forward to being surprised by my wife. It will also be a nice surprise if you are wearing nothing and waiting for me on the bed. I already told you how I would like for you be positioned. Why?" Killian muttered under his breath, turning his attention from Amelia to the spot where Lilith appeared again.

It was like the woman had a special talent to know when he was enjoying himself with Amelia so she could come to ruin the moment. He needed the underworld gates to be closed again so Lilith could not freely come and go as she liked.
