The Throne Is Mine
Chapter 225

Chapter 225: Chapter 225

"Why are you always playing the role of a priest?" Amelia asked Blade who was dressed in white as a priest. This was the second time he was involved in something major in her life since he was the priest at her wedding.

"One simple answer. I look good in white," Blade touched his white shirt. He started to like his job of pretending to be a priest. After the fake coronation, he planned to go down to one of the human villages in the Blackwell kingdom and act as a priest. He wanted to enjoy cursing instead of offering blessings humans were expecting to get. "I might make it official soon."

"Please keep out of temples or churches but anyone who takes one look at you and thinks you are a priest deserves to be fooled," Amelia muttered.

"I did fool your wedding guests from the Blackwell kingdom. That means there are fools from that side," said Blade.

"I can’t disagree with you there but you did receive strange looks at the wedding. I saw it with my own eyes. Anyway, thank you for putting on your white clothes to act as a priest for one more day. Killian and I are ready to get this started," Amelia said, taking hold of Killian’s hand.

They stood outside the throne room where a few demons stood as the inside was most likely full or they did not want to be in a tight space with other demons. Amelia blocked out the insults she heard about being a human. It didn’t matter as this human was now Queen of the north and if they did not like it, they could go elsewhere. Their whispering stopped when Killian looked in their direction.

Another reason Amelia wanted to become a demon was to make it hard for her to be killed. Humans were more of her enemies than demons at the moment. With how things were going at the moment, she would one day have to fight against Fraser. Fraser wanted her dead just as much as she wanted him dead. Being a demon was her way of protecting herself.

Amelia’s thoughts were interrupted by Killian squeezing her hand. ’Right. I should not think about other things now,’ she thought. Amelia squeezed his hand back as a way to say she was alright and ready for what was to come. Nothing could go wrong with Killian by her side.

Amelia kept her eyes straight ahead and continued to hold Killian’s hand as they walked down the path created for them to go to the two big thrones. It was unbelievable that after years of waiting for this moment, it was finally here. It was all thanks to the man beside her. If not for Killian, there would have been no chance for her to become Queen no matter who she would try to kill. She needed to thank him more often for this.

"A human," demons hissed as she walked by.

Amelia understood their hatred for her. Her people would never accept a demon into their royalty. People who seemed different were always punished in the Blackwell kingdom. Mostly those accused of messing with spells. The temple was heavily a part of their lives and they worship Gods who refrain from answering their prayers most of the time. Amelia could stomach the insults from the demons for now. Their words could not break her.

Killian helped Amelia walk up the steps to the throne by grabbing some of her dress. It was beautiful, but as she said, it was too much for one person, especially in the hot castle.

"The King and Queen of the North. Killian and Amelia Bune!" Blade yelled from the bottom of the steps. "Why the hell does a kingdom of demons need a priest to announce this?’ He muttered. "Oww!" Blade winched, rubbing the back of his head.

Blade looked up at Killian, thinking it was him who hit him with something, but he was surprised to see Queen Lilith smiling at him, and placing her finger on her lips as if to tell him to be silent. Killian was already someone you wouldn’t want to piss off now it seemed like he was on Lilith’s list. "The Devil and his wife Lilith," he announced the underworld royalty.

"I really need to pick a new title so I am not just announced as your wife. Maybe Lilith, bringer of death is more suited?" Lilith suggested.

"Don’t pout dear. Being known as the devil’s wife is already a scary title," Lucifer said to cheer her up.

"Not enough for me. Address the people, your highness," Lilith sarcastically addressed Lucifer.

Lucifer didn’t mind the tone of her voice. "You know I love it when you call me other things, dear. My people!" Lucifer’s voice became louder as he addressed the crowd. It travelled throughout the throne room and even outside for the demons there to hear. "Today we witness a new beginning for the north. Killian Bune, your King of the north, has found himself a Queen. Binding ourselves to another is sacred for us. Amelia Bune now has a deep connection with us."

"She is no longer just a human. No longer a princess of the Blackwells. She is the Queen of those who reside in the north and the wife of Killian Bune. I acknowledge their union and from this moment on, anyone who tries to harm a single hair on her head will be committing a crime against the underworld royalty. Is anyone against this?" Lucifer opened the floor for objections that he would not care about.

"I am," Agramon walked with his hands behind his back to the bottom of the steps. "A human cannot rule over demons. I had the same feelings when you wanted to take Lilith as your woman. A human is more suited as a pet. Not a ruler of our people. Killian Bune is making a mockery of our kind."

The sides of Lucifer’s lips curled as there was a hidden insult toward him in Agramon’s words. "Is this the same Killian whose name is feared across the lands? Known as the war demon and feared by thousands of humans? That Killian made a mockery of us? Tell me, what have you done to make other creatures fear us?"
