"A lot of the guests have started to arrive. The throne room is filling up quickly. We must go soon so we do not miss when it is time for you to enter," Edith said as she returned from checking what was happening outside.

"I’m all done," Gina said, but she continued to touch Amelia’s hair to fix strands she thought were out of place. "We can start moving so no one can say the Queen was late. I will be near to fix your hair or your dress if needed."

"Thank you. All of you," Amelia looked around at the group. It was thanks to having a good group of people around her that she was able to prepare for such a big day. "I am ready to start moving."

"Your heart is beating faster than normal. Like you will pass out," Lilith touched Amelia’s shoulder to calm her. "Try not to think about everyone watching you."

"I am used to having a big crowd staring at me but today I feel nervous. I will get over it when we start walking. Are you sure you do not want to go ahead to find your husband? He was looking for you," Amelia said. She remembered Lucifer looking around for Lilith.

"Do not let my husband fool you. He is able to track where I am in seconds. If he wanted to find me, he would be here right now. Allow me," Lilith said, bending down to help Gina lift Amelia’s dress from dragging on the floor. "Maybe I should dress up more often. When I was alive, I didn’t get the privilege to dress up girly. My family could not afford to."

"When you were alive?" Amelia asked, confused by what Lilith meant.

"I had to die to end up in the underworld. I had a life before I met Lucifer. I am not from your kingdom or the north. We are far away from where I grew up. I killed others for a living in my old life and one day someone got the best of me. I died and as I expected, I ended up in the underworld. I met Lucifer and now the rest is history," Lilith replied.

Amelia followed Edith out the door to head to the throne room. "What was it like to go from human to demon? Have you ever regretted it?"

"I was supposed to be dead. Any demon could have captured my soul, and eaten it, but I am still alive. I also get to spend a long life with a man I fell in love with. There is nothing for me to regret. The only bad part about it was the pain of crossing over. Even though I was practically a soul in the underworld, and took over this corpse, I felt every pain of turning into a demon. Feels like you’re dying all over again. Your skin gets extremely hot and your eyes feel like they want to bleed," Lilith said.

Lilith continued to explain. "Somehow, I changed on my own so maybe that is the reason why it was so painful. My husband or Killian should be able to find a less painful way to change you before you start changing on your own. I can’t tell you what I did to maybe trigger changing. All I remember was it happening when Lucifer and I were having sex."

"That reminds me. Has your husband ever tried to bite you?" Amelia inquired since there has been no proper explanation for Killian almost biting her. "Killian tried to when we were alone."

"Oh yes. The fear of thinking Lucifer wanted to kill me. It was the first time I ever cried in front of someone. One of the few times I ever saw so much panic in his eyes. I have seen how some of the demons tear into wandering souls to feast on them. That is what Lucifer looked like to me at that moment. Call me crazy but I eventually let him bite me. Nothing happened after that so I can’t say that is the reason I turned," Lilith said as a lot of time passed from that bite to when she changed. "He just took a piece of my soul."

"I think he truly was going to eat my soul if I had not snapped him out of it. The stronger the demon, the more souls they feast on. There are a few souls that can fill them for a long time or make them stronger even if it is for a short period of time. Maybe I was slowly changing during that time so my soul seemed tasty to him because I was a rare occurrence for demons," Lilith assumed. Now that Amelia mentioned it, she wanted to get to the bottom of Lucifer wanting to bite her.

Amelia wanted to mention being a golden child but she could not now when there could possibly be other demons all around listening to their conversation. Being a child destined to either bring peace or chaos, she must be a good treat for a demon like Killian. He was quite strong in her eyes which meant he needed to feed differently compared to demons like Cyrus or Edith.

Amelia made a mental note to ask Cyrus if he ever had to secretly feed on souls when he was living in the Blackwell castle and if he couldn’t feed, what happened. Amelia did not want it to happen again with Killian to make him hesitant to touch her. She didn’t know how to make sure he was always fed to never want to eat her but she would try her best to find a solution.

Amelia started to consider turning into a demon more than ever so she would be like Lilith and Killian would not try to eat her. Margaret would not be happy about it as her family killed demons in the past but it was Amelia’s decision to make. After the coronation, she would ask Killian to find a way to change her.
