Chapter 198

"I am sorry," Killian held her hand to stop her from poking him. He pulled her close to him which she didn’t fight against. "I won’t do it again."

"You better not do it again or I won’t speak to you for a whole day. I thought," she started but didn’t finish her sentence.

"I know. I am sorry," he ran his fingers through the softness of her hair to calm her down. He heard the quick pace of her heart which had not calmed down yet. Killian didn’t intend to scare her. He went straight to the bathroom to fill it with water before going back to her. "I will be more mindful next time."

Amelia lowered her head, trying to get rid of the fear she felt. They were people like Agramon who she was still worried about even on her wedding night. She didn’t think for a second he would not take the moment when Killian was away to do something to her. She felt much better now with Killian’s comfort. She wanted him to always remember that she was different from his kind.

"I am more scared of you at times than I am of Loki who has a higher chance of killing me. Afraid you would attack me with your imaginary claws. I should have just remained in bed and let the wolves eat someone. Am I forgiven or am I to apologize more?" He asked, looking down at her.

"I am still angry but there is no use in not accepting your apology since you have promised to not do it again. The perfect way to get back at you for scaring me is to get into the tub alone. Goodbye," she stepped out of his hold and walked around the side of him to go to the bathroom.

Killian grabbed her arm gently before she got past him. "You do not need to take it so far. I did not intentionally try to scare you. What happened to wanting to be near me?" He asked.

"That is when I am laying in bed with you," Amelia stated which she considered to be obvious.

"Amelia, I proposed the water to cool off with the intention of us being together," said Killian.

"And you have ruined it. I am not going to reward you even when you accidentally mess up. It is not like you need to cool down when your kind enjoys the heat. How long do you plan to hold onto me?" She asked, looking at where he held her. Amelia was only toying with him and would invite him in after he had a moment to dwell on just how much he had upset her.

Killian released her hand as she wanted and didn’t say another word when she went inside the bathroom on her own, closing the door behind her to show she was not letting him join her.

Amelia closed the door, resting back on it the moment it was locked behind her. She planned to count to one hundred and then let him inside. When she moved to wrap the blanket around her body better, something in the bathroom caught her eye.

"Of course, I will end up being a jerk," Amelia muttered, reaching out for the door handle to open the bathroom door sooner than she expected. "You brought me flowers," she said the moment she opened the door.

Killian was still standing where she left him. He didn’t think she would come back out the second she saw the flowers but he was glad she did.

"Is that why you were late? I feel like I am always the villain when it comes to our relationship. I ruin the good things you do. I was only teasing you. I would have opened the door shortly to make you feel shaken up like I was. I am sorry," she genuinely apologized for being angry in a situation where he did not intentionally try to scare her. "Thank you for the flowers."

"The apology wasn’t needed. I did scare you and you are free to tease me in return. I do not view you as a villain. It was my mistake for not returning to you first before going to the bathroom but I thought of surprising you. Romancing someone isn’t a skill of mine so I thought of doing it by surprising you with followers in the bathroom. It wasn’t easy to find normal flowers in the castle," Killian explained the reason for his late return to their room.

"They are beautiful. We should have more flowers placed around the castle so it is not so depressing. I hope the moment is not ruined too much that you would not want to join me," she said, giving him enough space to walk by her to join her in the bathroom.

"It is not," Killian replied, walking toward Amelia to join her in the bathroom.

"Where did you find pants?"

"I went to our closet to get pants before actually leaving the room. I almost came back to you before I left because it felt like you were panicking about something. Care to tell me what was on your mind?" Killian asked.

"I would rather not. It was nothing serious," Amelia closed the door behind him, remembering her embarrassing moment when she thought about what her younger self would say if she saw her now.

"What happened to the vow of no secrets between husband and wife?" Killian asked, dipping his hands in the water to see if it was ready for them to get inside.

"In that case, will you tell me what Agramon meant by you not being in the underworld for some punishment? I didn’t think so," she added when he smiled in response. "I believe there are some things we can keep to ourselves. I am not like other wives to want to know what is always on your mind. It is exhausting. We should promise to tell each other about anything that can harm our lives or any troubles we face. I don’t want to be left in the dark then."

Killian took his hand out of the water he had heated up so it wouldn’t be so cold. He flicked his hand to get rid of the water coating his hand. "Before we got married, was there something you kept from me?"

"What could I have kept from you when you can hear everything and you are always lurking in the shadows? As of right now, you have more to hide than I do so the rule is for you," Amelia said, walking toward the tub with the blanket still wrapped around her.

Killian glanced at her hand holding up the blanket. He remembered the clear view of her back and buttocks when she first walked toward the bathroom. "You should know going forward that I enjoy the sight of the back of you just as much as the front."

Amelia didn’t get what he meant at first but when his eyes kept going to where she was holding up the blanket, she finally understood. "I forget how much of a horny bastard you are," she muttered, holding the blanket tighter.

Killian didn’t take any offense to her words considering that it was partially true. He was horny when he was around her and even more so now that they had sex. Tired of standing around doing nothing, Killian got into the tub of warm water first, making himself comfortable, then waited for her to join him. "That blanket will soak up some of the water if you get inside with it," he said, urging her to lose the blanket without directly saying it.

Amelia licked her lips which had become dry and with one pull to get it over with, she removed the blanket.

Killian was amused by the speed she removed the blanket and hopped into the tub. It was a mystery how she had not fallen in. She had a surprising talent for being fast when she wanted to be. "Why are you sitting all the way over there? Surely, you cannot be afraid to sit on my lap. I have a vivid memory of how much you enjoyed it," he grinned, loving the irritated expression as her nose flared and she glared at him.

Amelia playfully splashed water at Killian to get him to stop talking. I am not going anywhere near your lap because I know how I might end up if I do," she replied. One thing would lead to another where she would be crying out his name in this bathroom.

"I promise nothing will happen," Killian held out his hand for her to take and come closer to him.

At this moment, Amelia could see how much of a demon Killian was. Eventually, she accepted his hand even though she knew his words were a lie.
