The System Awakens: Rise of the Champion -
Chapter 184 184: The Emergence - 2
After fifteen days of doing nothing but enjoying the pleasures of each other's bodies, Avaline and Damian were interrupted by his remaining two wives.
After that, they spent a few more hours together as husband and wives in the private bathing hall.
Damian helped them get dressed, and they helped him into the high-quality royal clothing tailor made for a great king, clothing that Avaline had brought from the Upper Plane for her husband.
As the devoted wife she was, she wouldn't let her husband, her king, go out wearing anything less.
Avaline, with a satisfied look on her face, very intently helped her husband dress.
It wasn't that Damian asked for her help, it was just that she loved doing these gestures.
They made her very happy.
Damian wore a long, dark-colored coat featuring a rich, deep red lining visible at the edges, reaching to his feet, with gold accents on the shoulders and lapels.
Under the coat, he wore a light-colored, buttoned shirt in a formal style, made of a lightweight but very strong fabric crafted from divine materials of the Upper Plane.
His attire was adorned with ornate gold detailing and elaborate patterns on both the coat and the shirt, with a large gold emblem shaped like a firebird prominently displayed on his chest and shoulders.
A brown leather belt with a substantial gold buckle wrapped around his waist, and the pendant form of the [Spear of Torment] dangled from his neck.
He wore dark pants to accent the light shirt.
His dark black hair was left messy, giving off a "bad boy" vibe, while his red vampiric eyes perfectly highlighted his charming face.
"You look magnificent, darling," Lenora muttered.
"Not as magnificent as you, my wife," Damian replied, gently rubbing the werewolf goddess's cheek.
"Darling... I'm so horny right now," Amelia said, hugging her husband.
"We have eternity ahead of us, dear. We can do it as much as you want," Damian said, patting her head as he looked at Lenora, Amelia, and Avaline with a loving expression.
"I'm done with simulations. I don't want to forget you again. I don't want to forget our family again. I don't want to be away from you... I'm done regressing. I'm done being reborn again and again..."
"You won't have to, husband," Avaline said as she held his hand, reassuring him.
"Like Avaline said, you're back. You're back for good now. You've sacrificed all your past lives for the universe, for your family. This time, it will be different. You've awakened your true nature. The fact that you've grown from a mere human into a being capable of standing against even the gods of the Upper Pantheon in just three months of Earth's time is proof of that," Lenora said.
"It's time we fight back against the forces threatening our universe, our home. It's time we take back our rightful place in the cosmos. Who knows... maybe even beyond. And you will be the one leading it," Amelia said with a grin.
Watching her grin, Damian couldn't help but smile confidently.
"You're right, my dear wives," Damian said, patting them affectionately.
...
The throne hall of the Twilight Castle was not empty.
The King's court was present.
From the vampire race, the five Countesses, Lillian, Amaya, Kathryne, Akira, and Tiana, stood in attendance.
From the human race, the four High Humans, Shiru, Maria, Yuki, and Ana, were present.
And from the werewolf race, the six Alpha Werewolves handpicked by Lenora, Sia Milvyra, Veyla Serelith, Selia Ravendor, Avenya Rughal, Leona Lunark, and Lea Morvain, were also gathered.
They had spent the past fifteen days, during their King's absence, getting to know each other better and putting aside the differences that had divided them in the past.
Werewolves and vampires were natural rivals, two sides of the same coin.
Both were creatures of the night, yet they never got along well.
The vampires and werewolves had always tried to stay out of each other's affairs, because when they did get involved, it rarely ended without bloodshed.
Humans had always been the lowest of the three species, constantly trampled by the creatures of the night. But that was no longer the case.
The vampires and werewolves were no longer dealing with ordinary humans; they were facing High Humans, who were nearly on par with them in terms of potential and talent.
With the presence of both the Vampire Goddess and the Werewolf Goddess, the three factions had no choice but to get along.
Strangely, it worked out just fine.
Perhaps it was due to the subconscious influence of Damian, the progenitor of both vampires and humans.
Being the vampire progenitor granted him a unique status, one not given to any other progenitor, the Blood of the Night King.
This was a unique constitution exclusive to the progenitors of the creatures of the night.
Currently, in the universe, there were three types of such creatures: vampires, werewolves, and ghouls.
The progenitors of all three, vampires, werewolves, and ghouls, possessed this rare constitution called the Blood of the Night King, which granted them a unique class known as the Night King.
Maybe it was because of Damian's blood that the werewolves, too, were beginning to be subconsciously affected, similar to the vampires and humans.
And if ghouls were to be added to this alliance, perhaps they too would be influenced in the same way.
While they were talking, they could sense four powerful presences approaching.
They instantly stood up and positioned themselves on either side of the carpet below the throne.
As the doors opened, their king walked forward with his three queens, Lenora, Amelia, and Avaline.
He proceeded to the throne and took a seat while the three queens stood beside him.
"I know you probably know who they are, but as your progenitor and king, it's my duty to officially introduce them," Damian said as he stood up and looked at his court ministers.
"These are my wives," Damian announced, introducing them one by one.
"This is my wife Lenora, the Werewolf Goddess of the Moon, Family, and Protection, also the patron goddess of the werewolf race."
The werewolves in the court recognized her.
She was their Queen Goddess, their protector.
In the absence of their progenitor, she had taken up the mantle of ruler for thousands of years.
But they had never known that their Queen Goddess had a husband, one who was not just the progenitor of humans, but now also of vampires, and who even claimed to become the progenitor of all races.
"This is Avaline," Damian said, placing his hand on his wife's shoulder. "She is the Qilin Goddess of Storm, Battle, and Love. She is also the only princess of the Kingdom of Flanora, of the Upper Plane."
"A Q-Qilin?" Everyone raised their eyebrows in shock, except for the High Humans, who didn't know what a Qilin was.
But the werewolves and vampires in the hall did.
Qilins are a race of beings with powerful elemental abilities.
They rank higher than all creatures of the night in the racial hierarchy.
They are one of the supreme races of the Upper Realm.
The Kingdom of Flanora is ruled by an ancient Qilin royal family known for their immense power and forces.
In front of such a force, the entire race of werewolves and vampires was essentially insignificant.
To think that the princess of such a kingdom would be the wife of their progenitor...
Their faces filled with awe and fear.
They couldn't help but wonder, just who was Damian?
Why was he surrounded by such powerful beings?
"Well, I'm a Lightning Qilin to be precise, but who cares about small details like that?" Avaline shrugged.
"This is my wife Amelia… the Vampire Goddess of Flames, Night, and Battle," Damian continued.
"They are my wives. My queens..." Damian announced before relaxing into his throne.
"Anyway... now that the introductions are done, what have you all done in the past fifteen days?" Damian asked, looking at Shiru.
"Can you sum it up, my dear personal assistant?"
"Y-Yes, Your highness... Firstly, after the continents merged into a single landmass, the population of the [Superior Humans] dropped to just 1.2 billion, scattered all over the continent," Shiru began.
"Secondly, we used our influence over the [Superior Humans], and with the help of the system, we've collected all available data regarding new mountain structures, water bodies, volcanoes, and all forms of land and aquatic geography, including Gate Monsters and mutated beasts that have taken control over various territories," Shiru continued as she read from a system panel.
"We also carried out your previous orders and divided the continent into eight territories," she said as she sent an image to everyone present in the throne hall, including the three goddesses.
It showed the current Earth:
A world with a single, massive continent surrounded by oceans, with new rivers and bodies of water forming randomly across the land.
"As per your highness's orders, seven territories have been planned out, each approximately equal in land area, regardless of the resources available or accessible to them. These surround a central territory, which we consider the capital territory of the new Earth. It is designed to be at least twice the size of the other seven and will be the location of your highness's castle and central rule," Shiru continued.
"What are you doing with the [Superior Humans]? How are they managing resources? The continental shift should have destroyed all accessible supplies." The Human King asked.
Even though Damian turned all the humans into [Superior Humans], they still need food and water to survive.
Every race out there needs some form of food or sustenance to survive.
For vampires, it's blood.
Werewolves also need food, mostly meat from monsters and wild beasts.
For humans, it's plant- and meat-based food.
"During the Continental Shift, almost 65 percent of vegetation was destroyed, while the surviving vegetation is mostly made up of mutated plants and trees bearing toxins and danger to common folk," Shiru continued.
"The [Superior Humans] started to hunt Gate Monsters and mutated beasts, and began cultivating their flesh for food, while we get water from rivers…"
"That's impressive… What about the other thing I asked?" the Human King inquired.
Maria stepped forward, bringing up a system prompt before everyone. "As per your orders, we have managed to find various [Superior Humans] with extraordinary abilities, talents, and battle prowess. We also identified some with strange abilities that aren't necessarily powerful, yet are highly useful, so much so that we believe they might be even more valuable than those with conventional power."
"We spotted about 14,700 such individuals. They either have powerful abilities that can be used in battles or abilities that can greatly impact the kingdom's livelihood on a large scale," Yuki explained, as a prompt played recorded videos of [Superior Humans] using various abilities to deal with problems like hunting beasts and monsters or providing support.
There were mages, cultivators, and even some with powerful healing abilities.
The vampires and werewolves watched all of this with wide eyes.
They had never expected that a lowly race like humans could become so strong.
