The Sweetest Temptation -
Chapter 78: New friend
Chapter 78: New friend
Beatrix had been to the club twice and both of them had been under the influence of her friends. First Stella and now Ava.
When Ava had suggested they go to the club tonight she wanted to refuse because she wasn’t sure Rhys would allow her to come but when she got home and told him he agreed. He even helped her pick an outfit.
It was a short-fitting strapless black sequin dress that barely covered her bottom but accentuated her curves in all the right places together with her strappy lace up mid heels which showed off her beautiful long legs.
She had never worn the dress before because it was too revealing and she felt insecure about her body but looking at the stars in Rhys’ eyes when she put it on she could say it was worth it.
He couldn’t stop talking about how jealous he was that others were going to see how good she looked too. He wanted her for himself.
Beatrix grabbed onto Ava’s shoulders as she stumbled, and her arms shot out to steady her "You good?" she checked, raising her voice over the music.
Beatrix hiccuped as she nodded, her head flopping dramatically "I’m greeeeat"
She was having the best time of her life. She knew no one would dare to approach them because Ava had two big bodyguards who scared anyone who approached them away.
Beatrix was curious about who her boyfriend was because according to Ava the bodyguards were from him. It was the only condition he gave her to come to the club.
No bodyguards, no partying. Hmmm...he seems like an interesting man.
They had spent most of their time dancing since they got here two hours ago dancing, and drowning herself in Smirnoff vodka. It was a new favorite thing.
At first she felt it was too strong and hated the taste but now she was obsessed with the strawberry flavor.
Beatrix couldn’t remember the last time she had this much fun—never?
She had never had this much freedom to actually enjoy her life.
She loved how the brothers made her do whatever that she wanted. They were very supportive of her.
Rhys had told her to have fun but to be careful not to kiss anyone. After all she had kissed him who was a total stranger at a club.
"I need to pee" she said loudly, pointing aimlessly towards the direction of the stairwell that led to the bathroom.
Ava nodded, stumbling back a bit to say something into one of the bodyguards’ ears and he looked to her , leaning over so she could hear him better.
"I’ll walk you to the toilet."
Beatrix waved her hand dismissively, shooting him
"No it’s fine, I won’t be long, stay with Ava."
He looked uneasy, but he nodded, pointing at her.
"Go there and come straight back, if you take too long I’m coming to find you"
Beatrix grinned at him, giving him an uncoordinated salute. For someone who just met her, he was quiet protective. Maybe it was because it was his job?
"Sir yes sir"
Ava frowned, "Are you sure Beatrix? Let him accompany you. I’m afraid something will happen to you."
Beatrix shook her head, "No, don’t worry I will be fine."
Ava sighed, shaking her head at her helplessly
"Don’t talk to strangers"
"Yes mom!" She yelled as she made her way through the crowd, bumping into people a lot more than usual, for once she was one of those drunk people here that she used to judge.
Despite feeling a bit drunk and clumsy, she managed to navigate the stairs and walk down the narrow corridor to the bathroom.
When she pushed the door open, she saw a woman leaning over the sink and crying.
Beatrix frowned. Okay this was awkward she didn’t know if she should just ignore her, pee and go or she should ask her what was wrong?
Maybe she wanted to be alone? If she was crying alone at the bar she would at least want someone to show a little bit of concern so she did that.
She approached the woman. She had to admit she was so beautiful. Even she couldn’t help the gasp that left her lips.
She had blonde hair and blue eyes, shining locks that flowed down her shoulders like a golden waterfall. Her bright blue eyes seem to sparkle like the ocean on a sunny day, and her delicate features were framed by her long, graceful neck. She had a radiant, glowing complexion and full, rosy lips .
With her tall, slender figure and poised, confident demeanor, she exuded an air of grace and charm that drew people to her.
Did people look this good when they were crying?
"Hey...are you okay?" Beatrix asked softly as she approached her.
The woman quickly wiped her tears and forced out a smile.
"Yeah...I’m fine. It’s just.... I just got dumped by my boyfriend. I thought we were going to get married but he dumped me and I don’t know what to do. I plan my whole life with him."
She hiccuped before continuing, "I cut all my friends for him and now I have no one. I’m so sorry you’re a stranger and I’m here telling you my burden."
Desperate tears spilled down her cheeks.
Beatrix panicked, she had no idea what to do.
"Ohh....don’t cry! Look at you...you’re so beautiful I’m sure you will find someone-"
"But I don’t want someone I want him!" She interrupted Beatrix
"Then fight for him? I mean communicate with him? Ask him why he suddenly changed his mind."
The woman shook her head, "Because he has found another woman."
Seeing her despair, Beatrix couldn’t help but pull her into a hug and patted her on the back awkwardly.
"I’m sure you will be fine. Don’t worry."
The woman pulled away and wiped the remaining tears from her eyes.
"Yes you’re right. Thank you." Sniffing, she smiled at Beatrix.
"I’m Alina. What’s your name?"
"Beatrix."
Beatrix replied. She could be wrong, but she thinks she was having her first drunk girl bathroom experience, Stella had told her about them, saying drunk girls in bathrooms were always your best friend that you’ve never met.
Alina broke into a wide grin, "Such a nice name for a lovely person. You’re really nice, you have a good face"
