The Sweetest Temptation
Chapter 62: Good girl

Chapter 62: Good girl

When she pulled away from Damien, she watched as a huge grin filled his face, his eyes flicking with relief and happiness.

She could see how much this meant to him. It was so rare for a man to lay himself bare to a woman especially if he was the leader of one of the most dangerous mafia families in the world.

As a leader, you’re not supposed to show emotion.

You’re not supposed to let your guard down.

You’re not supposed to let a woman control your emotions.

And most importantly you’re not supposed to fall in love.

Love makes you weak.

These are some of the words that she had heard her father’s man discuss while growing up.

Her brother Matteo had received the same teachings from their uncles.

Growing up she had seen her brothers turned to stoic men. It was only with her that they were allowed to show emotion.

So seeing Damien’s emotion all over his face right now made her heart swell with warmth.

He was breaking down his walls because of her.

Damien sucked in a deep breath, wetting his lips, he flicked his eyes between her own,

"Can I kiss you?"

Everything that had happened today felt surreal, but she was happy with the outcome. She loved the way he looked at her.

It was as if he couldn’t believe she was real. No it was almost like he couldn’t believe that she was finally his.

Beatrix held her breath as she nodded, and watched as his entire body seemed to slump in relief.

Beatrix still couldn’t seem to breathe when he leaned his face into hers, keeping a faint space between their lips as if he was nervous about going further.

When he pressed his lips against hers, it went as quick as it came, like he was testing her reaction.

When she didn’t move away, he pulled her face against his as he kissed her with so much emotion she felt like she was drowning.

She could never get over his kisses. It was so perfect. The way he moved his lips against hers as if to conquer her entire soul was just so perfect.

Everything about kissing Damien Niarchos was just perfect.

He pulled his lips away as they both tried to catch their breathing and rested his forehead against her own

"I was so scared you’d never let me do that again" he said in a hushed tone, sounding relieved and worried at the same time.

"I don’t think I could ever do that" Beatrix replied, pressing a kiss on his forehead.

"That’s what scares me the most.." he confessed.

"What does?" Beatrix urged him gently, what could possibly scare him?

She hated how vulnerable and insecure he sounded,

"That I’ll lose you if you see who I really am."

Beatrix frowned at his words. She knew who he was.

She knew he was a killer yet she didn’t care.

Everyone was a sinner, with different sins.

"Well, if it makes you feel any better, there are no saints, only broken sinners roaming earth."

Beatrix thought he would at least be mildly amused by the lame joke but he just grimaced as if something hurt.

"My sins are in my blood," he said under his breath, his arms tightening around me. "They forever taint me. Nothing I do will ever change that."

Well, that was cryptic but at least it was something.

"I don’t need you to change." Beatrix kissed his chin and slid her fingers through his hair.

"If my soul would be damned for being with a sinner then Iet it rot in the pit of hell."

"Fuck Beatrix...that-those words I never imagined them out of that innocent mouth."

He answered, catching her hand and kissing her fingertips.

Beatrix chuckled, "You have already corrupted this innocent mouth with yours."

He took a deep breath and when he looked at her, his amber eyes were so anguished her heart literally felt the blade of it cut deep. Her hand instantly curled around his own that held hers.

"Stop worrying Damien. I will be right here waiting for you to come back."

"What if I come and you don’t choose me?"

"I would always choose you." Beatrix smiled softly at him.

"At the end of the day you’re my fiancé and I believe I’m the future mother of your kids?"

Damien finally relaxed. He laughed softly and sat up to cup her face, kissing her tenderly.

, "Yeah.....the mother of my kids."

Beatrix nodded, "This arrangement doesn’t change anything between us. Don’t tell Rhys this but you’re my favorite."

"Ouch-little mouse, I’m hurt."

Beatrix turned to see Rhys leaning against her door with a smirk on his face.

What’s up with him always appearing out of nowhere?

Damien laughed, "Well you heard that bro, I’m her favorite."

Rhys shrugged, "Well, if that makes you feel better, you’re my favorite too Damien."

Damien laughed, "I wonder why is that though?"

"Food."

"Food."

Both Rhys and Beatrix said at the same time and broke out laughing seeing the horror on Damien’s face.

"So you both love me because I cook for you?"

They both nodded.

Damien sighed and sat down on the couch in Beatrix’s room where the table that contained the food was

He patted his laps beckoning her to sit on his laps.

Beatrix flushed and bit her lips. She glanced at Rhys who nodded at her.

She strode towards Damien and sat on his lap.

He picked the fork and started to feed her.

Beatrix’s cheeks were scarlet red. She could feel Rhys’ heated gaze on her as he watched Damien feed her.

She met his gaze and was surprised when she saw that there was no jealousy or malice in his eyes.

He seemed to be enjoying this. He smiled at her and her heart hummed in her chest.

Keeping her eyes on him she licked the maple syrup leaking from Damien’s fingers.

She watched as Rhys’ gaze darkened. Her heart stuttered and she realized that there was no place she would rather be. Especially when Rhys was looking at her the way he was now, with darkly blue eyes and a mouth that looked nothing so much as hungry.

"You’re naughty, darling. Are you trying to seduce Rhys?"

Damien chuckled.

Beatrix blushed and shook her head, "N-no..."

She had no idea why she did that.

Her heart skipped a beat when Damien lowered his lips down closer to her ear and chuckled,

"You’re such a bad liar." He brushed her hair away from her neck and trailed a kiss there.

Beatrix shivered at the sensation.

"Beatrix," Damien’s voice altered slightly, his voice growing rougher, "Do you....trust me?"

Beatrix frowned, why was he suddenly asking her this question?

"Y-yes..."

"Good." Damien whispered as he traced her lips with the pad of his thumb brushing over her bottom lip.

Her body hummed with anticipation, holding onto the feeling of his touch.

Her lips parted, tongue flicking out and tasting his flesh as she drew his thumb into her mouth.

Breathing out, she heard him audibly exhale when she licked his fingers up, down, and all around before she sucked it once deep and hard.

"She’s a good girl, isn’t she, Rhys?"

Rhys’ voice was hoarse when he answered. "Yes."

Beatrix had forgotten that he was still in the room. She flushed her cheeks reddened.

"Have you seen her naked yet?" Damien asked.

"No..." Rhys replied. His usual smirk was gone instead he had an unknown glint in his eyes.

"I thought so. Would you like to see her? Maybe without her dress?"

There was a pause, a pause that seemed to last forever, just when she thought he wouldn’t reply, he did.

"Yes,please."

Damien chuckled, "I thought you had forgotten about the rules. Come and sit down." He ordered, pointing at the sofa that faced them.

Rhys, stiffened. She could see that he was contemplating if he should go ahead.

"Are you sure about this? We still haven’t explained how this works to her. What if we scare her?"

Damien raised his brows and Beatrix saw his expression darkened. He looked indifferent and so cold it was like she was looking at a different person right now.

"Are you questioning me? Damien asked, his voice strangely calm.

Beatrix saw something like fear flashed through Rhys’ eyes but it disappeared quickly.

"No Sir."

Without another word, Rhys went to the sofa and sat, his face unreadable, his posture strangely easy. As if he had done this before.

Also why the hell did he call Damien Sir?

Was there a secret that she didn’t know about?

Have they done this before?

"Since you want to seduce him so badly, why don’t you let him see what’s underneath that dress of yours, darling."

Beatrix’s breath hitched, was Damien asking her to undress while Rhys watched?

"You want me to undress in front of him?" She asked.

"Yes....do you have a problem with that?"

Beatrix shook her head. Of course she didn’t. Wasn’t this what she had signed for when she told him he wanted both of them?

"No."

"Good girl." He stroked her tousled hair.

A/N: So.....well do you think Rhys and Damien had done this before? Do they have any secrets? Hahaha
