The Sweetest Temptation
Chapter 175: Date

Chapter 175: Date

Rhys stood fidgeting at the designated meeting spot, his heart pounding in his chest. He had been looking forward to this date with Beatrix for weeks and now that the moment had finally arrived, he felt more nervous than he had ever been before.

He checked his watch for the umpteenth time, wondering if Matteo would be on time. Rhys had arranged with Beatrix’s brother to drop her off at the spot, and he had been given specific instructions to wait for her there.

As he stood waiting, he couldn’t help but think of all the things that could go wrong. What if Matteo forgot and didn’t show up?

What if Beatrix had changed her mind and decided not to come? What if he messed up and made a fool of himself in front of her?

Just as he was starting to feel like he couldn’t take it anymore, he saw a car pull up in the distance.

Rhys’s heart leapt into his throat as he watched Matteo get out of the car and open the back door for Beatrix.

Rhys’s stomach flipped as he watched Beatrix step out of the car, looking even more beautiful than he had remembered.

She smiled at him and he felt his nerves start to ease a little.

"Hey," she said, walking over to him. "Sorry we’re a little late."

Rhys swallowed hard, his mouth suddenly feeling dry.

"N-no problem," he stammered, feeling embarrassed at how nervous he sounded.

It was his first official date after all and he felt like a high school boy.

Matteo gave him a stern look before handing him a slip of paper with his phone number on it. "Make sure you call me if anything goes wrong," he said, before turning to Beatrix. "Have fun, but not too much fun."

As the car drove off, Rhys turned to Beatrix and find her checking him out.

As he catches Beatrix’s gaze travel down to his hips, he can’t resist teasing her. "love what you see?" he askes with a sly look. She quickly blinks and snaps her eyes back to his face, confused. "What?" she asks.

"Don’t what me love, you and I both know you were checking me out," he says, grinning.

Her cheeks start to turn pink and he feels a surge of excitement at her reaction. But he doesn’t want to push his luck too far. Instead, he steps closer to her and gives her a once-over. "You’re lookin’ lovely tonight," he says, trying to keep his tone light.

He can’t help noticing the way her dress has tightened over her chest as she fidgets with the hem. Beatrix looks down at the ground, seemingly shy. He reaches out to take her hand, hoping to comfort her.

"So are you," she says quietly, her eyes still on his chest.

Her words have a huge impact on him, and he feels his heart swell with affection. Maybe it’s because she doesn’t give compliments very often, but hearing her say that he looks lovely means the world to him.

He takes a risk and asks, "Think I’m lovely enough for a kiss then? Just a small one?"

Beatrix’s eyes meet his, and without hesitation, she leans up and presses her lips to his. It feels like coming home, and he can’t resist pulling her closer, his hands sliding down to grip her behind.

In that moment, all he can think is how much he’s missed her and how grateful he is to have her in his life.

Beatrix melts into the kiss, her body leaning into his as their lips move together in a soft, sweet rhythm. She wraps her arms around his neck, her fingers tangling in his hair as she pulls him even closer.

For a few moments, everything else fades away, and they’re lost in the sensation of each other’s touch. But eventually, they break apart, their breaths coming in short gasps.

Beatrix looks up at him, her eyes dark with desire. "I’ve missed you," she whispers, her voice low and husky.

"I’ve missed you too," he replies, his hands still resting on her hips.

They stand there for a moment, just looking at each other, before Beatrix steps back, a mischievous grin on her face.

Rhys removed his jacket and wrapped it around her.

"Hope you still remember how to hold on tight to me love, because we are going for a ride. Just like that last time."

He pulled her helmet out of the bike’s saddlebags and handed it to her. ’Mount up. We’re going on a date."

Beatrix giggles as she takes the helmet from Rhys and puts it on, her excitement building at the prospect of going for a ride on his motorcycle. She climbs onto the back of the bike, settling into the seat as Rhys starts the engine.

As they speed through the streets, the wind whipping through her hair and the engine roaring beneath them, Beatrix can’t help but feel alive. She holds onto Rhys tightly, feeling the heat of his body against her back as they weave in and out of traffic.

Eventually, they reach a secluded spot on the outskirts of town, where the road stretches out before them like a ribbon of asphalt. Rhys pulls over and helps Beatrix off the bike, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

"Ready for some fun?" he asks, taking her hand and leading her to a nearby hill.

They climb to the top, where they can see the city spread out before them like a twinkling sea of lights.

As they arrived at the park, he quickly spread out a light blanket on the grass and placed a paper bag on top of it.

Beatrix peeled off her jacket. She sat down, kicked off her heels, and reached for the bag.

"I hope you got something more exciting than sandwiches in there," she said, hungry and eager to see what was inside.

He chuckled, sitting down next to her and grabbing the bag. "You know the rules. You didn’t buy it, so you don’t get to complain."
