Before leaving, Gongsun Qianru glanced at Xiao Yuchuan on the bed. She had hoped that when he woke up, he would see her taking care of him and feel grateful in his heart.

Little did she know he would sleep like a log, making her wait uselessly all afternoon in his room.

In the evening, before going to sleep, Gongsun Qianru again visited Xiao Yuchuan in the South Garden and then returned to the neighboring West Garden to sleep.

She stood up and walked out of the room.

That night, Shen Yun arrived at the South Garden side room and saw Gongsun Qianru sitting by Chuan’er’s bedside, her heart filled with annoyance at this persistent woman, yet she said, "Ru’er, it’s late; you should go to sleep."
