Chapter 1532 Divorce 3
Chapter 1532: 1532 Divorce 3
The Master of the Xiao Family was leaving with his relatives, and the entire town was abuzz. The number of spectators grew and almost filled the whole street.
Fortunately, the Xiao Family’s guards were plentiful; people only dared to watch from a distance and no one dared to draw near.
Shen Yun knew very well that the person her son was waiting for was Su Qingyue. She deliberately instructed Shuang’er to go to the Xiao Mansion and inform Su Qingyue an hour later than planned, hoping her son would leave before she arrived. Unexpectedly, he foolishly waited.
Initially, she even considered not sending any maid to notify Su Qingyue at all, fearing that in case her son sought out Su Qingyue for a confrontation. Hence, she still sent Shuang’er.
Xiao Yishan forced his way through the crowd, "Third brother!"
Xiao Yuchuan’s expression was somewhat numb and he did not respond.
"Third brother, are you really leaving?" Xiao Yishan’s resolute face filled with a sense of reluctance.
He nodded slightly.
"Where is Yue’er?" Xiao Yishan looked around. He could not see into the carriage, but judging from his third brother’s expression, he was certain Yue’er was not inside the carriage.
"She does not..." He originally intended to say she was not going but feared that if his wife were to appear later and agreed to go, saying she would not would publicly embarrass her on the street. Thus, he changed his sentence to, "She can choose to go or not."
Xiao Yishan continued to speak, but Xiao Yuchuan did not hear him, only craning his neck and waiting for a while until he almost couldn’t stand anymore. Xiao Qinghe, sitting in a wheelchair pushed by his personal servant Liu Sheng and guided by the maid Shuang’er, arrived.
"Third brother." Xiao Qinghe’s wheelchair stopped three steps away from Xiao Yuchuan, "I didn’t expect you to suddenly decide to go to the capital city; it’s all so rushed that I haven’t had the chance to prepare anything for you."
Xiao Yuchuan looked past him but did not spot his wife. His already pale face turned one of disappointment.
Qinghe naturally saw what had disappointed him but did not point it out, "Third brother, it’s a new place in the capital city, and you must take good care of yourself."
In his heart, Xiao Yuchuan was not at all prepared to leave; he was merely speaking out of anger, he wanted to test whether his wife still cared for him, whether she would ask him to stay.
The brothers exchanged a few detached words.
Seeing that his third brother showed no intention of leaving, and his eyes kept wandering to the direction of the Xiao Mansion, Qinghe sighed, "She won’t come."
Xiao Yuchuan’s face stiffened, "How do you know?"
Qinghe took out an envelope from his sleeve pocket and passed it to him. Xiao Yuchuan took the letter, opened the envelope, and saw the familiar handwriting, clearly from his wife’s pen and ink.
However, at the top of the page were clearly written three words... divorce paper.
The reasons for divorce were described as incompatibility, Su Qingyue not obeying her in-laws, Xiao Yuchuan being idle and lazy... and so on.
She actually signed her own full name, stamped her handprint, and left space for him to sign his name to make it effective.
Xiao Yuchuan’s eyes widened in shock, his whole being overcome with rage. Already severely injured, he couldn’t bear it for a moment and suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood.
"Chuan’er!"
"Third brother!"
"Third brother!"
Shen Yun, Xiao Yishan, and Xiao Qinghe all cried out in alarm at the same time. Shen Yun and Xiao Chonghuan hurriedly exited the carriage and ran over.
Xiao Yuchuan, enraged, tore the divorce paper into pieces in two or three rips, tossed it into the sky, and laughed hysterically with devastating despair, "Hahaha! Su Qingyue, you want a divorce, you have no chance!"
The street was full of onlookers, who were so frightened by the scene that not a single one dared even to breathe loudly.
Many among the crowd thought to themselves that Su Qingyue was truly ungrateful. Marrying into the Xiao Family was a fortune she could not have climbed to in three lifetimes; yet she did not know to cherish it and actually wanted to divorce her husband.
