Chapter 86: Real Bath Battle I
Chapter 86: Real Bath Battle I
Without waiting for a countdown, Tamayō launched the first attack—dark spheres tearing through the air toward Alicia.
In an incredible flash of speed, Alicia vanished and reappeared above her, palm crashing down with deadly force.
Tamayō crossed her arms just in time to block the strike.
The mountain—no, the entire Coastelle—shuddered with a great roar.
If I hadn’t been suppressing the shockwaves, half the region might’ve crumbled into dust.
As they stood, locked in struggle, I hurled two Envious Nebulae their way—orbs that fed off resentment and chaos.
Alicia turned mid-motion and swatted one aside with ease.
Tamayō met the second with a surge of denser darkness, erasing it in a breath.
But Alicia didn’t pause—she turned, driving her fist squarely into Tamayō’s chest.
Tamayō was launched—blasted off the mountain in a gust of wind, disappearing from sight in an instant. Vanishing into the dark horizon.
And then Alicia leapt at me, eyes sharp with palpable murderous intent.
I didn’t flinch. Because, already—
BAMM!!
Tamayō had returned in a blink, her hand cloaked in a woven flood of energy.
She struck with enough power to fill the gap between me and Alicia in a heartbeat.
The impact swallowed us both. We were blasted down.
Deeper.
Deeper still.
Through layers of stone. Through the contemporary bones of the mountain.
Only when we reached the earth’s quiet nucleus did the descent end.
I stirred, surveying the strange, enormous cavern we’d unearthed.
Rivers of water—magical and pulsing—flowed across the underground chamber, glowing soft blue and violet.
The air was thick with force, and the walls glittered with ores, precious stones, and metals I hadn’t seen in an age.
So this is one of the veins I’d sensed...
A core artery of Coastelle’s magic.
BOOM!
But Alicia and Tamayō were uninterested in the spectacular underground discovery.
They’d resumed fighting already—palms clashing, bodies a blur. The cave trembled with each blow.
Alicia twisted, ducked low beneath Tamayō’s guard, swept her off balance, grabbed her by the hair, and flung her skyward.
Tamayō flew back several meters, spinning once before halting in the air.
Those many pupils of hers began to flicker and spin.
She was about to conjure something dreadful.
Alicia reacted instantly.
Her aura throbbed once—then swelled violently.
She raised both hands and unleashed the same technique that had taken me down yesterday.
Except this time, it was several times stronger.
A thick green wave surged toward Tamayō.
It was big enough to swallow a small village.
But Tamayō didn’t panic.
She threw up her defense quickly, arms raised, tails shifting behind her.
The blast hit.
It swallowed her and exploded through the ceiling, launching her back to the surface.
Alicia bent low.
Then leapt up after Tamayō, the floor cracking beneath her feet.
Wonderful.
Now, a 100-meter-wide hole connected the cave to the surface.
Delightful.
I’d like to mine these natural resources at a later date.
Ascending the pit, I found Tamayō was staggering, holding her head.
Trying to fight off Alicia’s energy.
In truth, she was stronger than I thought.
Although I had little to no defense up—and I essentially was just standing there doing nothing—this same move had immobilized me yesterday.
Alicia reached her first.
She threw a swift kick at Tamayō.
But Tamayō twisted fast, dodged, and answered with a counter-kick.
Their legs clashed, like titans crashing into each other.
They went back and forth, trading punches and strikes in a blur.
Then Alicia slammed her palm into Tamayō’s face.
A flash of white light lit up the night.
She dashed in, carried her forward, and slammed her into a giant rock.
The whole thing cracked and groaned—but somehow didn’t shatter completely.
Tamayō gritted her teeth.
One of her tail tips lit up brown.
Then she stomped the ground brutally.
A deep ripple spread from her foot.
The top of the mountain shook, then leveled with a grinding growl.
Dust and debris spiraled up like smoke from a volcano.
Shizuka finally moved.
She emerged from the small, carved-out bubble of stillness she’d created for herself—completely untouched by the destruction around her.
Everything we had shattered merely slowed when nearing her—frozen at the edges of her zone.
She stepped away slowly, dark mist swirling around her.
It clung to her form, shaping itself into tight black coverings that wrapped her legs from waist to mid-thigh—practical, sleek, and shaped for motion.
Over her upper body, a deep red garment folded into existence—layered and hooded, mimicking the strange attire those under-achievers made for Master Raven earlier.
Her long hair, with a streak of silver at the side, was drawn back and bound with a black sash.
Then, without a word, she pulled her hood over and disappeared, sinking soundlessly into the shadows.
...She fled. Make no mistake—
No matter how dignified she made it look, she definitely just ran away from the commotion!
I know a tactical retreat when I see one.
When Tamayō had struck the earth with her foot earlier, Alicia instinctively leapt back—but they were still close.
Then, above them both, a massive circle took form—etched in prehistoric, cursed calligraphy.
Before either woman could react, a roaring curtain of dark ray fell upon them.
Except it wasn’t light. Nor fire.
But liquid shadow.
[Black Water].
Its descent was like a waterfall crashing from the heavens, swallowing all beneath in endless streams of disorder.
A truly dangerous power, even by my standards. With enough density, it could erode the edge of a black hole itself.
A very good thing Shizuka made her exit.
Beneath us, another hundred-meter pit had formed—gnawed into the earth, carved by unreasonable corrosion.
The very soil refused to hold form under the power.
Sadly, Alicia, unable to float, was carried down with the collapsing land.
Tamayō, However, suspended midair, glaring—her once pale skin slightly browned, scorched by scourges that clung like ointment.
Hehe. She was sincerely offended.
And rightly so.
Well, I would also be upset if someone bathed me with plagues that haunt, not only the body—but the space around it.
Nevertheless, Tamayō really is impressive.
In point of fact, even the very air and atmosphere hit by Black Water would distort enough to reject flight in it.
With a high-pitched whistle and a burst of speed, Alicia hurled herself out from the chasm, landing back onto the crumbling heights with a thud.
And then—they both turned to me, eyes gleaming with contempt.
The unified glare of two daft, naked women realizing they’d been toyed with.
No words. I just flashed a knowing smile.
Yes... they’ve seen through my ploy:
To let them tear at each other, wear themselves thin—I’d also weaken them both when they’re not paying attention.
Then, I, completely unscathed, would crush the enfeebled victor.
But that plan was filled with holes already.
Tamayō appeared above me instantaneously, arms raised—then brought both fists down in a hammering blow.
I crossed my arms to defend.
But gracious, the weight of it...
Was it one of her tails amplifying the strike again?
It took me my everything to stay on the surface.
Still struggling with the heavy assault, Alicia had arrived, her eyes outright dangerous.
