Mu Shuoqian still gazed at her intently, though he had just woken up, his face showed no signs of sleepiness, as cold and indifferent as usual. After hearing her words, his eyelids flickered slightly, "Really?"

Gu Qili felt guilty, nodding her head then immediately shaking it. His eyes were so clean and beautiful, even while sleeping they were meticulously neat, how could there be any eye gunk?

"I just woke up, my vision was blurry, it’s clean." She chuckled softly, naturally wriggling out of his arm, "Um, I’m hungry, are you?"

He also sat up, the sudden absence of warmth in his arms making him feel slightly uncomfortable. It turned out that holding her while sleeping could be so peaceful. If it wasn’t for the dream about bees constantly flying towards his face, he wouldn’t have woken up.

She silently nodded her head.

"Come here." He turned over, facing her back.

Gu Qili obediently moved closer, inching towards him like a caterpillar, her chin resting on top of her head, he tightened his arms and whispered, "Sleep now."

She curled up in his arms like an unborn baby, his palm burning hot, her whole body tensely rigid like a stiff bug.

"I want to go see the lavender." Gu Qili wanted to say something to lighten the mood, knowing he was here on a business trip and likely didn’t have time to join her, so she added, "If you’re busy, I can go alone."

After a moment of silence, Mu Shuoqian said, "I have nothing scheduled the morning after next."

Knowing he agreed, she happily closed her eyes, already imagining a sea of purple lavender in front of her.

"Where did you go today?" he suddenly asked.

Gu Qili thought of Reynolds, but she felt that such a thing was unnecessary to tell him, so she shook her head, "Just strolled around, visited some specialty shops."

"Don’t interact too much with strangers."

Her nerves tensed up, did he find out something?

"I know, I won’t wander off."

"Hmm." His voice deepened a notch, his hand patting her waist lightly, "Sleep."

Perhaps his embrace was too warm, Gu Qili asked softly and drowsily, "Mu Shuoqian, can you not be cold to me anymore, please?"

For a long time, she did not hear his reply.

With a sigh in her heart, she wriggled a bit to find a comfortable position, and then fell asleep.
