The Rising Phoenix -
Chapter 191: Give A Bribe
Chapter 191: Chapter 191: Give A Bribe
Bai Xifeng took out another Cold Soul Fruit and started preparing it for the refining process.
Wu Pengfei’s mouth was opened widely. This girl had another one? Where did she find the fruit so easily? And the one had been destroyed just like that. What a waste.
Bai Xifeng started the process again. This time, she was very careful in controlling her Qi into the fire. She did not want another fruit to be wasted again. A little more and done. She succeeded in refining the Cold Soul Fruit. She began to refine other herbs that were needed in the prescription.
She did not have any problem refining other herbs. So, it was a success on one go. The next process was to combine all of the herbs. She threw all of the ingredients into the cauldron. She would need to control the fire.
While the process was going on, the thunderclouds started to gather. She looked up. She narrowed her eyes.
’You come.’ Bai Xifeng grinned evilly.
Bai Xifeng looked at the ingredients inside the cauldron. They were doing fine. After that, she called Gryffindor. She jumped into Gryffindor and told him to fly into the thundercloud.
Gryffindor thought Bai Xiang was being crazy. There was no way someone could enter the thundercloud without getting struck by the lightning.
"Don’t worry. Just approach it." Bai Xifeng said.
Since it was his master’s request, Gryffindor would just follow her order. He flew upper.
Everyone was surprised to see Bai Xifeng suddenly fly up with the beast.
"Wait? Where is she going to?" Bai Tingfeng shouted.
"Look like she is going to the thundercloud." Bai Xiang said.
"What? Does she want to die? She does not have a lightning element attribute. It is a deadly wish." Bai Tingfeng was panicked.
Bai Xiang looked at her daughter. He did not think that Bai Xifeng wanted to die. She must have some kind of plan.
The thundercloud noticed that Bai Xifeng was flying up toward it. It struck Bai Xifeng with its lightning. The lightning hit Bai Xifeng head on.
Bai Tingfeng was shocked. "Xixi!!!" He shouted calling for his sister. He did not care anymore if someone found out about her identity.
Bai Xiang also looked shocked. His daughter whom he just reunited just...
"You motherf**ker! It hurt like hell!"
They suddenly heard the scream. Everyone was surprised to hear that. They saw Bai Xifeng was alive, only her hair was kind of messed up.
"She is alive?" Bai Tingfeng was dumbfounded.
Hearing that sentence, Bai Xiang kicked Bai Tingfeng. "What? Do you want her to die?"
"What? Of course not!" Bai Tingfeng quickly denied it. He just reunited with his lovely sister, how could he want her to die?
Up there, Bai Xifeng was furious. Bai Xifeng jumped into the thundercloud. Surprisingly, inside the thundercloud was quite bright and comfortable. She looked around.
Then a small creature approached her. It was like a small white cloud. It seemed it was fuming.
"How do you get in here?" The small white cloud shouted at Bai Xifeng.
"I just enter it." Bai Xifeng snorted proudly.
"Humans are not allowed to be here. Leave now." The small white cloud demanded.
"Little white, I come here in peace." Bai Xifeng grinned.
"What?" The small white cloud looked at Bai Xifeng in wary.
Bai Xifeng took out something from her Qiankun bag. It was sweets that she made last time. She placed them in front of the small white cloud.
"What is this?" The small white cloud was like a small child who was curious about everything.
Well, it was trapped in the thundercloud only god knew how long it was.
"It is a candy. Eat it." Bai Xifeng said.
"Eat?" The small white cloud was confused.
"Hmm... Like this." Bai Xifeng said.
She took one of them and put it into her mouth. The candy tasted sweet and delicious. It was a wine candy that she made yesterday.
The small white cloud mimicked Bai Xifeng’s action. Bai Xifeng watched the small white cloud. It seemed the small white cloud had a mouth and that was a big one. How unexpected.
Bai Xifeng found out about this creature from Baishe. Baishe told her about this creature when she was complaining about lightning after she was struck by it the last time. Baishe had a lot of knowledge about this world. She felt that Baishe was the God of Knowledge.
She thought if it was a living creature, it might want to eat. That was why Bai Xifeng prepared some wine candies for it. Actually, she wanted to make this small creature drunk. That way, it would not strike her with lightning.
The small white cloud’s eyes shined brightly when it tasted the candy. The candy was so delicious. It wanted to taste more. It looked at Bai Xifeng.
Bai Xifeng could feel the stare. "You can take it. However, you need to promise me something."
The small white cloud looked at Bai Xifeng in wary again. "What do you want?"
"You just need to promise me not to strike me so hard. It is hurt, you know." Bai Xifeng stated.
"I can not do that." The small white cloud shook its body.
"Oh, I see. Then, I will leave with this candy." Bai Xifeng took back the candy that she laid on the table.
The small white cloud looked shocked and sad when Bai Xifeng took back the candy. Bai Xifeng glanced at the small white cloud with her corner eyes. She was pretending to leave the thundercloud.
The small white cloud was still thinking about the candy. It wanted to eat those more. After thinking a while, it made its decision.
"I will promise you. But I can not reduce the amount of the lightning strike but I can reduce the power of the lightning." The small white cloud compromised.
Bai Xifeng pretended to think about that. However, she already felt delighted.
"Sure." Bai Xifeng said.
"Give me the candy." The small white cloud demanded.
"Okay... Okay... I don’t forget about that." Bai Xifeng gave them candy back to the small white cloud.
The small white cloud was very happy to see the candy again. It took the candy and ate the candy.
Bai Xifeng took out another batch of candy. "Here, these are yours."
The small white cloud was stunned. It was a lot of them. He practically could drown in the candy. Bai Xifeng laughed to see the small white cloud’s reaction.
"All of these are for you. You can enjoy them." Bai Xifeng stated. After she was thinking for a while, she added. "I will give the candy again when I meet next time."
Bai Xifeng could feel that they would meet regularly in the future. It was better to tame the small white cloud now.
"You can give me more?" The small white cloud was surprised but happy.
"Well... Yes... But not now. I have already given everything to you for now. It is out of stock. I will give you the candy next time." Bai Xifeng stated.
"Sure... Sure..." The small white cloud nodded.
Bai Xifeng remembered the pill that was still in process.
"Remember to be gentle when you strike me, okay?" Bai Xifeng reminded the small white cloud.
"Okay." The small white cloud did not have a scheming thought. Since it already promised Bai Xifeng, it was planned to do as planned.
Bai Xifeng jumped out of the thundercloud. Gryffindor was nearby. When he saw his master come out, he caught her with his back.
"Are you okay, Xifeng?" Gryffindor asked.
"Hmm... My mission here is completed. Let’s go down." Bai Xifeng smiled.
"Okay." Gryffindor obeyed the order.
Everyone was relieved especially Bai Xiang and Bai Tingfeng when they saw Bai Xifeng come out of the thundercloud uninjured. They wondered what was Bai Xifeng doing inside the thundercloud. No one dared to go inside the thundercloud like that. Bai Xifeng was the first one.
Bai Xifeng approached the cauldron. It seemed the pill was about to form. The thundercloud was darker than before. She hoped that Little White could keep its promise. Little White was the name that she gave to the small white cloud.
The first lightning struck the cauldron. Bai Xifeng looked inside the cauldron. It was still okay. The second strike came out straight to the cauldron. She checked the cauldron again. The pill was still not formed yet. The lightning still came over striking the cauldron.
