Chapter 99 - 99: Running away!

The power unleashed by Minos and Ruth's techniques was so great for their respective levels that both Leroy and Jeff were left in utter disbelief.

And despite the power displayed by Ruth was not so different from that of Jeff, Minos' blows had surpassed Leroy's in terms of their sheer power!

Along with that, Leroy had also noticed that his speed had slowed, and he was also gradually losing his spiritual energy as he entered the area within the black ring in the sky!

The shield, which was being used by Leroy to defend himself and appeared to be made of several roots, was struck by Minos' blades of air and instantly destroyed, creating an explosive sound in the vicinity.

The spiritual energy claws that had materialized in Leroy's hands also slowly hit Minos' chest. However, it was barely able to scratch the young Stuart's skin before the claws dissipated into nothingness!

And because he was injured by a person who had not even reached level 40, Leroy was feeling even more humiliated.

This was going to be a blemish on his battle records!

Meanwhile, Minos could not care to listen to what Leroy was shouting. No, there was no point in talking during a fight, in fact, the guy had not left any room for words after having said those words about Ruth.

This was just about killing or being killed!

Once again, Minos activated his attack technique, causing Leroy to feel his body getting heavier while seeing Minos launch other successive attacks towards him.

Simultaneously, Jeff also grabbed Leroy by the waist, dashing away from the place at his full speed. If they didn't run away, a tragedy would soon befall them.

"Young master, we can't persist with this any longer..." He uttered in a low voice as he swiftly retreated.

'Shit! Shit! Shit!' Leroy cursed in his mind. 'I'll remember this, you bastards!'

Meanwhile, as Leroy vowed his revenge, Minos spoke aloud in an icy cold tone, enough to be heard by the two. "Leroy Chambers, huh? Run away while you can. One day I will rip your head off from your very body!"

"Worm!" Before Leroy and his bodyguard finally disappeared from Minos' sight, that was the only word they heard.

Seeing them retreat completely, Minos let out a sigh of relief and then turned his gaze towards Ruth.

She had many abrasions on her body and looked quite pale at the moment. Minos gently touched her face and asked with concern, "Do you have any serious injuries?"

Weakly shaking her head in denial, Ruth said in a tired tone, "No, they are just superficial injuries. I will be fine after two days."

"That's good to hear. Don't worry about those two. One day I'll kill that bastard myself," Minos declared in a determined tone. For him, the issue with Leroy had already crossed the line where there could be no chances for reconciliation.

At the moment, Leroy was an enemy that had to be killed no matter what!

He couldn't let such a scum live, especially after the vile things he had said he would do to Ruth.

While Ruth might not be his wife, their relationship was excellent at the moment, and he couldn't bear to see her being offended. Therefore, he felt an indescribable hatred toward Leroy, perhaps as intense as the hatred he had for those responsible for his father's death!

Leroy snarled in frustration as he leaned against a tree, "Shit! We don't even have the name of that bastard!"

Hearing this, Jeff, who had just taken out some spiritual pills from his spatial ring, spoke confidently.

"Take it easy, young master. I'm sure that boy will participate in the Spiritual Tournament. We will discover his identity when the competition starts."
