Chapter 98: 98. Letter of challenge

There are two types of energy in this world. One is Aura, Another is Prana. Aura is used by Warriors and Prana is used by Mages. The difference is Warriors spend Harnessing their inner strength while Mages Practices spell and Harness their Soul.

The Crimson Blood Sect located at the Southern east side of the world. Here Mages are so rare. It is hard to find even one in the whole region.

Tyler really doesn’t understand the concept of Aura and Prana.

"The energy in the Air contains both Aura and Prana. It is combined together. Only by using some type of Energy Separation Art can one separate Aura from Prana and Practise." Lily Gomes explained.

Tyler was dumbfounded. He just practised his previous Cultivation techniques. And worked finely.

"There are some people who practise both. But they are so rare. At Least Till - " She stopped what she was about to say.

Then she thought of something and said, "I don’t really want to pry your secrets. But can you tell me why you have both Aura and Prana?"

"Is it because I used my old Cultivation techniques?" Tyler said. He already owed her a favour. So he doesn’t mind telling her his past.

"Cultivation, that’s an old word." She murmured, "Oh... You are an Ascender. Ah... I read about it somewhere. There is this thing called Cultivation cc in the lower realm which will choose the best of Random categories and help them ascend. At the Two Truth and One Lie game, Phantom Blackwood said he was once the Richest person in the world. So you must be selected for that category."

Tyler who was about to explain dumbfounded. He then explained the concept of spirit energy.

"Hmm... This Spirit Energy is called Qi, right?" She asked.

"Huh.. Yeah..." Tyler nodded.

"Hmm... The combined Aura and Prana in this world is called Life Force and its ancient name is Qi and there was also another energy called Mana." She said,

"Mana?" Tyler asked. It is the same name as his Ghost Spirit.

"I am not sure about the history but in ancient times there were also two types of energy. Qi and Mana. Well the answer for this only appears if you travel towards the Immortality at the Edge of this world." Lily Gomes said as she pointed at the vast ocean.

"What should I do about this Prana thing in my body?" He asked worriedly.

"Well it is not sin or something. It’s just that you will become a Hot Topic." She said,

"Is there any way to conceal Prana?" He asked.

Lily Gomes thought for a moment and said, "You already have that mask, right? It has the ability to conceal your presence."

Tyler took the mask out. He has yet to try it after reaching 1 star level. He took the mask and he felt a slight difference.

He wore a mask. The mask attached to his face and covered his whole face. The mask became like the skin on his face.

"What happened?" When he talked, a different voice came out of his mouth. There are two red lights glowing at his eyes giving different vibes.

Much information appeared in Tyler’s mind. He understood some basics. The mask needed Aura or Prana to activate.

"Disappear."

The mask turned into ashes and disappeared. He then tried to touch his face.

A cold hand touched his face, "Oh, It is not here. But this treasure mask seems to be bound with you." She explained.

"Now try to hide your Prana." She said,

Tyler sends his thoughts to the mask.

"Cool. Now, I can only feel Aura." She said,

Tyler sighed.

"Do you know spells for long range attacks?" She asked.

"I do have some." Tyler thought of his ’Brain Freeze’ attack and ’Ice icicles’ attack.

"Don’t use that. Only mages use that type of attack. Just stay in close combat mode." She said,

Omar opened the door, "Tyler you have a visitor."

Tyler was puzzled and he walked out.

A disciple who looked 6.2 feet tall with black skin is standing outside. Tyler never saw this before.

The disciple flicked his hand. An object flew towards him swiftly. A slender hand caught the object before it reached Tyler.

"A letter of challenge." Lily Gomes said and gave the letter to Tyler and patted his shoulder.

The letter of challenge is an old tradition in the sect. People who receive a Letter of Challenge can decide in what field they can compete. Both party are allowed to make bets . And no one is allowed to kill.

"Fire Valley?" Tyler asked.

The Tall man nodded. It was his senior brother who sent him to send the letter. He doesn’t understand why his senior brother is interested in this weak man.

"Don’t worry. Boss won’t participate in the Match." The Tall man explained. He was ridiculing him and making fun of him inwardly.

"Alright, I accept. Ask him to give me a store from each Islands if he loses and If I lose I will give him something that is worth 100 million Lydia. " He replied.

Tyler wrote his conditions on the letter. The tall man was shocked by Tyler’s wealth. Tyler just planned to copy some Mana stones and give them to him if he loses.

The letter of challenge was sent to the sect administration. They approved it. These kinds of things happen frequently so it doesn’t cause any waves. Though the people in the sect will talk about it during free time.

Tyler didn’t care. He knows that whatever the match he chose they will choose a better person in the field and send them to face him.

"What competition will you choose?" Omar asked while arranging some documents. Tyler also helped him.

"I just reached 1 star Novice Warrior. So I think I will challenge them in one -on -one combat." He said.

"Oh... If you are confident in your combat ability you can give it a try." Omar encouraged him.

Tyler smiled. He is good at only three things one is Formation, second one is Combat and last one is being Rich. He is looking forward to it.

"Oh, the Thing I asked for." Tyler said.

Omar took a small piece of paper and gave it to him.

"You can meet them in Tide Isle. Just show them this paper. They won’t dare to do anything funny." Omar said.

Tyler thanked him.

He left the floating Island and reached one Island called Tide Isle.

The whole shore is covered by an experimental Array. It attracts larger waves from the sea and pulls lots of water from the shore. The Array is to catch fish and other items from water and push the water back.

But this Array was a failure model. The Array Master just left it unattended. Now it only attracts Giant waves.

Tyler walked through the streets. He booked a room in an Inn and also bought two chests. After that, He quickly found the address given by Omar. There are small kids Playing on the street. He knocked the door in a specific rhythm. It is like code.

The door opened slightly, "Who is it?"

"There are Flowers I would like to sell."

"Where?"

"The Inn in the next street." He said.

The person behind the door nodded, "Little Guy, go and check if flowers are fragrant."

"Roger." One of the kids in the street said.

"Also, I am from the sect." He informed the person.

The person paused for a second and said, "Understand. I will check it personally."

Soon after, the door opened and a middle aged woman walked out. Both of them arrived at the inn.

The woman checked the surroundings in caution. She then opened two chests.

Two chests were filled with Prana Stones. The woman’s eyes lit up seeing this.

"6 million." She said,

"Nope." Tyler closed the Chest.

"7 million."

Tyler shook his head.

She bit her lip and said, "7.5 million. That’s all. You can try selling these somewhere. But My price is the highest."

Tyler thought for a second and nodded. The woman finally smiled.

"It will take some time for you to receive the money. Until then we can have a meal." The woman walked towards him. Her sweet scent entered Tyler’s nose.

Tyler understood her intention and didn’t reject. It’s been a long time since he did that. So he pulled her to the bed.

"If you have more things to sell. Just come straight to me next time. I will handle it." She said,

Tyler nodded and asked, "Where do these things go?"

"Of course, to the Mage Kingdom or Academies. If you want something from there you can also ask me. I can arrange it for you." The woman said.

Tyler thought for a second and said, "I do need many things. Can you get me books, knowledge or Information about Arcane Engineering."

The woman’s eyes dimmed and said, "One of the Difficult things to buy is Knowledge."

"Difficult but not impossible, right?"

Someone knocked on the door.

"It looks like your friends are here." When Tyler said that the woman became nervous.

"You found out?" She asked in surprise.

Tyler then pinned her down and kissed her cheek, "Even though I told you I am from sect, you still tried to plot against me, babe."

The woman was petrified in fear.

The door opened, a man along with four or five people entered. They are all emitting 2-star and 3-star Novice Warrior Aura.
