Chapter 65: 65. Offshoot Tale

Chapter 1 : Howard and Lisa

This happened after Tyler left in the pursuit of cultivation.

"So what are you gonna do? Mr. Howard?" Lisa asked.

Howard blushed. He doesn’t know how to have a conversation with a girl.

First thing Howard did was to enter Tyler’s study. He always loves to read every book Tyler collects. He saw some of the books were missing. He thought Tyler took them with him. So he doesn’t care. What he doesn’t know is that Tyler took the book that contains little information about the copper pot. Whether they are true or not, he doesn’t want anyone to find out about it.

Lisa stayed with Howard, took care of his basic needs. Even after a month Howard is still felt shy speaking to Lisa

"Nope. It annoys me more." Lisa said.

"I am sorry." Howard Apologised.

"Not good. We should do that. After that you won’t feel shy facing Girls anymore." Lisa said seriously.

"Is there a way?"

Lisa nodded and dragged him in the room.

Next day, Howard became like a puppy following Lisa everyday. Even Lisa regretting it a little bit. Just like that, years passed.

One day

"I’m not very good with words. But all I know is that I love you. If you allow me, I will take care of you for the rest of my life. Will you marry me?" Howard said that.

"Can you give me a day to consider?" Lisa asked.

Howard nodded hopefully. The worst she can say is ’No’ right?

Next day Lisa is nowhere to be found. She left a Letter that she is gonna travel to the place she was born.

Howard was dumbfounded.

"So that’s why she asked for some time. That’s right, she needed time to pack her things." Howard mumbled to himself.

Howard was heartbroken. He didn’t even know what he did wrong. He unknowingly walked around the city searching for her. Even though he knows that she left, he unconsciously searched for her. The months passed. One day, the doctor in the city came to find Howard. The doctor felt guilty and said something.

Howard’s face turned serious. He immediately hired a carriage and left the city. He went to a village.

He walked towards a house with hesitation. After mustering his courage he knocked the door.

Lisa opened the door. Lisa was frozen in shock. But Howard’s eyes were on her stomach which was bulging.

"H- Howard , I - ..."

"Am I not a worthy father? Why did you leave me?" Howard asked, he was on the verge of crying.

"I was a prostitute before meeting Mr. Tyler. I don’t want an innocent boy like you to marry a dirty girl like me. Please leave" She said and was about to close the door.

But Howard used his hand to block it, "Ouch."

"Are you ok? Howard!" Lisa panicked.

"Master always says this. Past doesn’t matter." Howard said.

"So it is ok for a girl to enjoy her youth lavishly with her body and find a good guy to marry after she had all her fun?" Lisa asked.

"What are you saying? You are not like that. Master said,

Past doesn’t matter. It doesn’t mean I don’t care about the past. It means don’t stay in the past. You just have to move on." Howard said.

Lisa took a deep breath and said, "Alright. Then promise me one thing. If we ever have a fight in future. You should never mention my past out of anger. Also marry a second wife, to make me feel less guilty."

Howard was dumbfounded. Master was right. Girls are complicated.

Chapter 2 : The Sword called ’Swifty’

After getting Token from Tyler, Ling Tian and Yumina left the village after reaching a certain age.

They showed the Token to the government officer where they were taken to the minister. The officers didn’t dare to snatch the tokens from the kids because if someone did that their generations might get obliterated.

Ling Tian and Yumina were taken to the disciple selection. They were selected to a second rated sect called Clear Sky School.

After reaching the second stage of Qi Refining Realm. Ling Tian and Yumina went to a blood bat cave for Mission. Their mission was to collect a type of Nitric acid from the cave.

Ling Tian and Yumina were surrounded by many bats. They had no choice but to escape. Ling Tian, who was running , suddenly stopped.

"What happened?" Yumina asked.

"Someone needs help." Ling Tian said as he ran towards another way.

"Wait..." She was baffled for a second and ran behind him.

Soon they reached towards a girl who was stuck between a pile of rocks. Ling Tian and Yumina helped her out. The girl was a little wary of Ling Tian even though he saved her.

But soon she let her guard down when he carried her in his back, while also confronting the bats.

She hesitated for a moment and said, "Go to the left. Then right."

Just like that she led them.

"Isn’t it opposite the entrance?" Yumina asked in suspicion.

"Trust me. There is a good thing inside." She said,

"I trust you." Ling Tian said.

The girl blushed. Seeing that Yumina shook her head. This idiot again started rizzing girls unconsciously.

Soon they reached a concealed cave. It is not easy for anyone to notice.

Ling Tian saw a sword.

It’s a one-handed light sword which is best for fast attacks and manoeuvrability.

The blade appears slender and pointed, resembling a rapier or a small longsword.

"A Rapier?" Ling Tian grabbed the sword.

Rapiers are known for their thrusting attacks.

Before the girl could say anything he pulled the sword from the ground.

She was so shocked her jaw almost dropped to the ground. The sword is the one which injured her. When she tried to pull, it backlashed at her. At first she was planning to sell the information about the sword and make money. She wanted to share this information to these two. But didn’t expect Ling Tian to actually pull the sword.

Ling Tian fell into silence. The amount of information is entering his mind. He is accepting sword skills, movement skills, Cultivation art and other types of inheritance.

Yumina and that girl looked at each other in surprise.

"Hello I am Yumina. This is Ling Tian." Yumina smiled.

The girl blushed at her beautiful smile and said, " I- I am Ella."

"Dyamn, This sword is so Toxic. I will call you Swifty."

Chapter - 3: Yumina’s weapon.

Yumina doesn’t like close combat that much. She uses a bow and arrow. But she also felt they were so slow.

So she strapped her hand with two crossbows and used her Spiritual sense to control it. Though it was creative. It was not effective at all. The crossbows are heavy. The lighter ones are not lethal. She has reloaded again.

One day she went on a mission with her best friends Long Tian and Ella. She saw how Ella used her giant hammer to kill the enemies easily. She also observed how Ling Tian easily subdued his enemies swiftly.

"I really have to change my weapon." Yumina sighed as she mumbled.

For a year. She tried different types of possibilities to make a weapon. The fireworks gave her inspiration.

She then took a cylindrical shaped metallic tube and placed it in her hand. She then tried to launch energy out of it.

She failed many times. She was able to create energy balls. But was unable to launch it. Then she used the method of fireworks. She blasted a small energy which repelled the energy ball without blasting it.

She almost lost her hand while experimenting. She also used a small formation launcher to make it even Simpler.

After that she replaced the tubes with Gauntlets that looked like an actual weapon. The gauntlets look like a giant tiger head roaring.

She was called a genius for inventing a weapon like this. But sadly she didn’t leave any records on how to make this weapon and left for the higher world.

The writer closed the book. She is writing books about all the ascenders.

"Next is this book." She took another book, ’The Mortal who stomped the Immortal.’

Chapter - 4 : Princess

"Do you think you can escape?" The princess said as she slowly walked towards the balcony. Magic Circles appeared around her, her beautiful forefinger stroked the air.

A spatial crack appeared.

"Since I can’t touch you because of that curse. I will kill everyone around you." She said as she launched a palm attack locking on four people who are with Tyler.

She was watching it with a confident smile.

"Switch."

Her attack disappeared and was replaced with flowers. The princess’ smile crumbled.

"Who are You?" The princess asked. A mysterious young boy saved them all.

Suddenly she felt a death threat. Like she will get destroyed in a second. She never felt like this before. But the feeling suddenly disappeared. The spatial gate got closed forcefully by the other party.

She sighed in relief. She might have accidentally offended a big shot who is wandering the void. She thought.
