Chapter 100. Assembly Line and Tyler’s Breakthrough

Chapter 100: 100. Assembly Line and Tyler’s Breakthrough

"How did you do it?" Yi-Han asked in disbelief.

He took the Essence Rejuvenation Pill and inspected it. Meanwhile, Silvia jumped onto Tyler.

"Though, the quality needs improvement," Tyler said.

"Who made this?" Yi-Han looked at the alchemists.

Everyone raised their hands.

"Huh?" Yi-Han was confused.

"Ever heard of an assembly line?" Tyler asked.

"I think I heard of it somewhere, like in carriage making," Yi-Han replied.

An assembly line manufacturing process involves a series of individual workers assembling a product, each performing a specific task in a particular sequence.

"Conduct regular training sessions for alchemists to keep them updated on best practices and new techniques," Tyler ordered Yi-Han.

"Am I hired?" Yi-Han asked.

"Yes. You manage this place when I am not here," Tyler nodded.

"Oversee the entire assembly line process, ensuring each alchemist follows the protocols and that production runs smoothly. You are the team leader," Tyler pointed at the old man in the team.

"You... You are responsible for gathering and verifying the quality of the raw ingredients," Tyler pointed at one alchemist.

Tyler then assigned tasks to each person. One was to clean and purify the Essence Grass, removing impurities and ensuring it was ready for processing. Another was to prepare the Jade Lotus Petals, carefully separating and drying them to maintain their potency. The third was to crush and refine the Dragon Vein Stone into a fine powder, ensuring no large particles remained.

The fourth blended the purified Essence Grass with the Jade Lotus Petals in precise proportions. The fifth heated the initial mix at a controlled temperature to release the essences from the ingredients, monitoring the temperature closely. The sixth oversaw the cooling process, ensuring the mixture solidified correctly. The seventh added the refined Dragon Vein Stone powder to the solidified mixture, enhancing the pill’s energy-replenishing properties and mixing thoroughly to ensure even distribution. The eighth shaped the mixture into individual pills, ensuring each one was consistent in size and weight using specialised molds. The ninth conducted a final quality check on each pill, testing for potency, appearance, and any defects. Finally, the tenth packaged the pills in protective containers to maintain their freshness and potency.

Tyler stayed in the workshop while they practised, providing abundant ingredients. Tyler had secured a way to buy ingredients and used his Copper Pot to copy some. He himself wasted 25 ingredient sets to make one pill, but he eventually succeeded.

"Go to this address in Tide Isle and meet Manager Sebina. Ask her to sell all the manufacturing Pills." Tyler gave more instructions to Yi-Han.

Also told him to Keep detailed records of each batch, including ingredient sources, processing times, and quality check results. This documentation is crucial for maintaining high standards and traceability.

After learning and practising pill-making, Tyler returned to study his old occupation—formations, known as arrays in this world. Arrays were simple for Tyler, being similar to formations with slight differences. Tyler easily understood the basics and improved quickly by joining classes. There are a lot of sect factions that teach arrays. He was able to find a decent one.

20 days passed.

A young girl in a white dress was refining a pill when another girl ran toward her in panic. The young girl didn’t get distracted and refined the pill neatly.

"What happened?" the young girl asked.

"S-Senior Sister Mathilda. It’s bad. A new supplier for Essence Rejuvenation Pills appeared. They are selling them for 40 Lydia per pill," she said.

Mathilda was surprised. Their pill sold for 60 Lydia each to touch the profit margin. She couldn’t understand why someone is selling the same pill for a cheaper price. It would take many alchemists to mass-produce the pills.

"Who is the supplier?" she asked.

The girl hesitated. "Remember the man we drove out before? White from the Investigation Department."

Mathilda looked surprised. Her eyes turned crafty. "Well, he is not useless after all. Since he wants to play, then let’s play."

"Announce that our pill will also sell for 40 Lydia," Mathilda said.

"But our profit margin—" The girl wanted to say more but stopped when she saw her senior sister’s smile.

Mathilda then instructed her on some things. The girl’s eyes lit up, and she quickly went to make arrangements.

"Hehehe. Interesting." Mathilda smiled.

Tyler looked at his room, which was full of snow despite the hot outside temperature.

Silvia gave him a side-eye.

"Hahaha... Sorry. I used more Prana Stones to activate the array," he laughed awkwardly.

Arrays could be activated by using either Prana Pearls or Aura Stones. Tyler used Prana Stones because he didn’t have Aura Stones. He practised making all types of Arrays he learned before.

*Knock knock knock*

Someone knocked. Tyler opened the door and saw Yi-Han. He is carrying some documents in his hand.

"Here are the Aura Stones you asked for. They are of pretty good quality." Yi-Han handed him a small box. Tyler opened it and saw the Aura Stones inside. He had asked Yi-Han to buy one from the sect.

"What are these documents?" Tyler asked.

"Oh, these are just empty documents. But carrying them looks like I am a busy person." He said. Tyler’s mouth twitched. He wanted to say something but he decided not to.

"Wow... It’s cool here. Can I come in?" Yi-Han asked while sensing the cool air from inside.

Tyler took a small array disk and gave it to Yi-Han. "Take this. It has the same effect."

Yi-Han thanked him.

"How is the pill manufacturing going?" Tyler asked.

"With me as manager, what can go wrong?" Yi-Han said with a smug face.

Tyler waved for him to get out.

"Boss, you should level up faster. All your subordinates are higher level than you," Yi-Han said while leaving.

"Alright," Tyler nodded.

He went back inside, took some array disks and materials, and glanced at his old prototypes in the corner.

"Silvia, help me copy some Aura Stones," he said, giving her the Copper Pot while arranging an array.

Silvia quickly made 20 Aura Stones, tied them in a small bag, copied the bag four times, and then tied them together and copied them nine times. One Aura Stone turned into a thousand in a couple of minutes.

"Good girl," Tyler patted her head. Silvia smiled and blushed at the praise.

Tyler then took a few Prana Stones and Aura Stones and arranged them in an array. He gave some instructions to Silvia, who nodded and listened carefully.

He quickly sat in the middle and operated the Lake View Art. The energies of both Aura and Prana flooded into him. Tyler remained calm as he absorbed the energy.

Tyler opened his eyes and signalled to Silvia. She understood and poured Prana Stones and Aura Stones into the slot.

4-star Novice Warrior

4-star Novice Mage

5-star Novice Warrior

5-star Novice Mage

Tyler’s speed was terrifying. It would make everyone in the sect’s jaw drop. He used an energy absorption formation he learned from his previous world. It only worked when using both Aura and Prana Stones. His previous tests failed when he tried using only Prana Stones.

Even Tyler was a little shocked by his success.

Tyler stood up, catching up with his old cultivation level quickly. In this world, after 5-star Novice Level is Elite Level, similar to reaching Foundation Building Realm after the 9th stage of Qi Refining Realm.

"Congratulations," Silvia whispered.

Tyler smiled. "It’s all thanks to your help."

The little girl smiled.

Tyler willed the mask, which was bound to him, to appear on his face and disappear. His Prana was completely suppressed, and his Aura was suppressed to 2-star Novice Warrior Level.

"Let’s go and eat something to celebrate," Tyler said, making Silvia’s eyes light up.

*Knock knock knock*

Tyler opened the door.

"Boss White, it’s bad. Eight of our alchemists quit," Yi-Han said.

Tyler was caught off-guard by the news. "How can they do that? According to the contract, there is a penalty if they quit now."

"Someone paid the fines. It was Senior Sister Mathilda’s subordinates. Even the team leader left. I think they will start their own assembly line. I also heard they are recruiting many average alchemists," Yi-Han said, upset. He didn’t expect these alchemists to betray them.

Silvia grabbed Tyler’s hand. Tyler patted her head, reassuring her not to worry. He began to think.

"You have money, right?" Tyler asked.

"Yes, Boss," Yi-Han replied.

"Then buy some tasty and expensive food," Tyler said.

Yi-Han was confused, but when he sensed Tyler’s Aura, he was dumbfounded.

"I just jokingly said to level up faster. But this is too fast," Yi-Han said.

Tyler didn’t explain, just nodded.

"What about the pill workshop?" Yi-Han asked.

"Don’t worry about it. I will do something about that. But now food is important," Tyler waved his hand.

"Buy some fried chicken too," Silvia said.

"Okay, mini-boss," Yi-Han saluted and left. Although confused, he didn’t dare to ask any more questions.
