Chapter 110: In the Afterglow, I begged My Husband to Sleep Together

"Adrei...Adrei..."

"Hm..." 991 stared at the wall. "Note: Recommend soundproof rennovations for the residents’ well-being."

Currently sitting beside Celeste, 991 faced the full brunt of vibration and noises thanks to the thin walls of the tavern.

991 squinted at the slept drunk. She should’ve drunk herself wasted as well.

"But it didn’t seem to work well."

991’s brows loosened, the blushes on Celeste’s cheeks...darkened.

She observed how she wiggled to the pillow, covering her ears.

Seems they were both victims ’singlehood’.

"You were awake, weren’t you?"

A shudder. Then a flutter of eyelids.

"It recommended cringe and embarrassment shall be shared, not endured alone."

991 hummed, the indifferent tone belying an amusement. "If you wish otherwise, feel free."

"...you’ve had a sharp tongue, aye?"

Celeste groaned as she held her head, drunkiness biling in her like a heavy weight.

"I’ve not been told such before." 991 held her chin, sincerely asking. "Shall I thank you in this scenerio?"

"Is that sacarsm or-"

Celeste shut her mouth. Another moan. The adults were really going at it, huh?

"It is sacarsm." 991 contemplated putting a bullet into her head. "Much needed in hard times."

"Hey aye...don’t make everything depressing all of a sudden..."

Shaking off her drunkiness, Celeste mustered a smile. "You’ll get your own...uh, experience in due times, kay?"

991 blinked.

Blinked again as her eyes narrowed.

"Is this subject inviting me?"

"Oi! Lewd!" Celeste swung her arms. "As a pure maiden, I’ll have you know I’m not natural, so don’t assume otherwise!"

991’s eyes narrowed further.

"Be-believe me?" Celeste huddled herself. "I’m serious! I-that-that place was still there, so...yeah..."

Blushes blemished the blonde curvy girl, her drunkiness washed over by utter embarrassment.

The ’pure maiden stared at the bottom, contemplating something.

991 tilted her head. "Subject seems indulgent on imagination rather than realistic outcome."

"H-how do you know I was imagining my first time?"

"No comment." 991 closed her eyes. "Does subject perhaps need any assistance now?"

"Assistance? Ah, love advice!"

The energy instantly rose within Celeste as she shot up from the bed. "Are you the uh-extremely experienced kind?!"

"No-"

"Perfect! Me neither!"

Celeste’s arm swirled like frenzy cogs in a machine. "We can talk like normal girls do! How to hug more woman, how kiss more woman, how to bed more woman!"

This constitutes as ’normal’? 991 resisted the urge to correct her.

"I’ll start first!" Celeste coughed twice, her mind turboing faster than when she first fought the floor 10’s boss.

"My type has always been the tall, mommy kind who would soothe me to sleep, telling me how good of a job I did. What’s yours?!"

"What’s mine?" The hooded Android frowned.

"Mm mm." Two heavy nods.

"Hm..."

991 thought hard and long.

As an Android who lost her memories, her <Core> contained nothing but a wasteland for a Database.

In other words...

"I had no preferences."

Or rather, she felt preferences were arbitary and easily varied on the environment she will face in the future.

"Heh~?! Don’t be boring!" Celeste pouted. "Try think of one! Come on! Choo choo!"

"I would rather disappoint you than to rashly judge."

"Ugh..." Celeste’s expression scrunched up. "So you’re the boring kind in a conversation, aye?"

A slight sense of (what you might call) ’disgust’ welled up in 991. "Is the subject perhaps forcing your narrow view on stereotypes on me?"

"Eh? Uh...not really, hahaha..."

Not expecting a retort, Celeste grumbly turned away. "In the first place, everyone do love talks and such, so I thought it would be a good opener...."

A good opener? 991’s <Core> analysed and clung to this bit.

She arrived at a conclusion. "Is this your first conversation with a girl?"

"Of course not!" Celeste threw her arms up in protest. "I did talk to some pretty adventurer ladies too, you know?!"

"And how did it end up?"

"Ugh...very, very badly..." Celeste index pressed together, avoiding 991’s gaze. "Specifically, when i asked them for a team-up, they all avoided me like a plauge..."

"Reason?"

"The fact I tried to face the 10th floor boss..." Celeste sighed. "No one could beat it. Too many deaths have piled up, so everyone scoffed when I attempted it."

"Result?"

"Poorly. I barely managed to escape alive." Celeste chuckled to herself, defeated.

"Alone or with a party?"

"Alone, of course." Celeste hung her head. "Everyone wants to keep their livelihood. So I can understand."

"...subject is not recommended to wallow in frustration."

991 leaned in a little, her cold stares now bore a slight glint of sympathy.

"There’s no worse feeling in this world other than being alone, Miss Celeste."

She, too, was nearly despaired for her loss of memory till companionship found her.

"Nah. That’s...of course I know."

"You don’t." 991 leaned in closer as Celeste dodged her. "You really don’t."

No one deserved to wonder alone in a darkness they had no memories for.

"In any regards," The Android leaned back as she plopped back on her seat. "You need not worry again. Miss Demond and Adrei have already decided to accompany you in your next journey."

"Really?!" Celeste flung up again. "Uncle Demond and that pretty Dragon Lady said that?!"

"Confirmed. We had no objections." 991 nodded, her expression unchanged. "Or do you?"

"Of course I don’t! Uh...hehehe..." Celeste wiggled like a child who bought her first toy. "How about you, 991? I get that you may find me troublesome and annoying but-"

"I don’t though?"

"...eh?"

Celeste’s eyes shot up. "You don’t what?"

"Not really. Subject remain an energetic, hard-working to me." 991 observed how the subject’s shoulders shuddered. "You have gone through enough. Allow us to share the burden now."

"Eh-eh...?"

Celeste blinked, then blinked before blushing hard. "Uh-we...we just met, you know? Don’t make assumption like that when you don’t know whether I’m telling the truth or not..."

"I deem the subject trustworthy, and I trust my own judgement the most." 991’s lips curled up for a rare smile. "Or, did the subject deem herself as the type to easily lie?"

"Of course not..." Celeste fidgeted in the bed. "Mm...ah, right."

The socially inept, insecure girl mustered her courage as she held up her gaze. "What’s your name?"

"Name?"

"Yes..." She coughed twice. "Now let me properly introduce myself. I am Celeste Waraker. Loves alcohol and honeyed hams, don’t particularly hates anything. Still single....ah, you?"

That last description is unnecessary, isn’t it?

991 sighed as she pulled down her hood. "991. An Elven Android from the Flooded Dwarven Ruins."

"An-android?"

"Hm." A worry sprouted. "Prejudice?"

"Just surprised." Celeste chuckled. "Weapons?"

"Revolvers." 991 patted the pouches on her waists.

"Even Lost Dwarven weaponries, huh?" Celeste grinned, holding out her hand. "Looking forward to our cooperation!"

"Likewise."

And so, under certain disturbances, a companionship between two lost souls was formed.

---------------

"Adrei..."

"...yes, my wife?"

"We really have gone too far this time..."

The moonlight poured in from the window, as the Witch was gasping within her husband’s embrace, both baring skins for each other.

Under them was a wetted bedsheets filled with sweats, tears and ’springwater’.

"Do you regret our little exercise?"

"I regret we couldn’t have used the time for dungeons." The Witch grumbled, nuzzling her head into Adrei’s chest.

"I must apologise for our...overexertion then." Adrei slid her cheek up the Witch’s. "You were merely too sweet, my wife."

"Cheesy as always..." The Witch clasped her hand around the Dragon’s waist. "Well, any plan for tomorrow?"

"Weren’t we partied with Celeste for the Dungeon Investigation?"

"Mhm. But we still haven’t explored much of the town." The Witch yawned. "Better hear from the residents themselves how that governor handled the town."

"Indeed." The Dragon wiped the sleepy tears off. "We could have the Shadow Tribe investigate as well if we would like."

"Let’s take it slow this time. We haven’t managed one after Adil’s whole ordeal."

"Hehe. Shall we hope we would not discover another conspiracy that required Alice’s presence?"

"I desperately hope not."

Silence aboded. The Witch and the Dragon merely gazed into each other without talking much.

"Ah then." Adrei’s hands loosened. "It’s time to-"

A tug. Adrei’s eyes fluttered as she glanced at her blushing wife.

"Don’t...sleep seperately this time." The Witch frowned, her eyes glittering. "It’s embarrassing for a married couple to...you know."

Adrei’s scale steamed a little at such a cute sight.

"...why the closeness, Demond?"

"It’s just...not fair to sleep apart. We did all that already, didn’t we?" The Witch pouted.

The Dragon’s arms snaked. "I will not be able to control myself, in sleep, or in the morning. Will you be okay with it?"

The Witch’s breath hitched. "D-don’t jest..."

"Then I will refrain." Adrei’s legs straddled Demond, as her eyes closed. "Let us sleep now."

"Ah? Uh-mmm..."

Adrei held back a chuckle as the Witch’s arms hugged her like a teddy bear.

Both’s arms finally found each other in the dreamlands, and the Witch’s slight regret in the past nights were snuffed out by a mere request.

Demond slept in content, however. The warmth of her husband’s skin was all that she could sink into.

The same could not be said for the Dragon, whose scales steamed hotness.

Her wife looked oh-so delectable in her sleep...

"Patience. Patience..."

In a bout of struggle in her mind, she fought off her lusts as she allowed them a rest at the quiet night.
