The Reborn Wife Of The Tyrant CEO -
Chapter 467 - 463
Chapter 467: Chapter 463
It couldn’t possibly be Norah returning so soon, and I was worried it might be Damon again, so i took a peek through the peephole first
Silas and Lisa were on the doorstep, looking anxious and worried
Why would they come over?
I opened the door, and Lisa immediately grabbed my hand and anxiously asked, "Eliana, are you okay? Damon said a murderer broke into your house last night and nearly hurt you. I was scared to death!"
"Lisa, I’m okay, thanks to Damon who came to see me. Otherwise, something might have really happened." I felt warm that Lisa’s concern was heartfelt, not feigned.
They didn’t even need to make a special trip to see me.
Silas also looked very serious. "Eliana, you should have a few people stay at home. You have two kids who need care. I heard your parents are not around, so you need someone to help you share the burden!"
I nodded awkwardly and said, "Yes, I know. I’ll hire a couple of nannies these few days to ensure safety."
After inviting them in for tea, I ushered Serena and Brandon into the living room.
There was still a faint smell of blood in the yard. Lisa frowned when she smelt it. "I can’t bear to imagine what happened last night. Damon finally did something right!"
"He was hurt too, on his left forearm." I reminded her.
Lisa nodded and said, "I know, but he’s a grown man. A little injury won’t kill him. And he has Catherine, doesn’t he?"
I must say, Lisa’s love for her son was unique,
Damon’s injury needed stitches. I wonder if he went to the hospital afterwards. If it got infected later, it would be a real hassle.
Today, without Catherine here, Lisa cheerfully picked up Serena, while Silas held Brandon. They both had always wanted me and Damon to get back together, so they were very straightforward.
"If only these were Damon’s kids. We could each hold one. Leo only came back to us when he was this big. We never saw him when he was a baby!"
"Yeah, but Eliana’s children are our grandchildren. It’s all the same!"
Listening to their conversation without any hint of avoidance, I couldn’t quite describe what I was feeling. They made me feel guilty for hiding the truth.
Suddenly, Lisa remembered something and asked, "Oh, Eliana, didn’t you have something to tell us on Leo’s birthday? I was out with a friend then. You can tell me now."
She even shot Silas a look, making him shift his gaze awkwardly.
Why did Damon ask me this question, and now Lisa?
I hesitated, remembering Leo’s nervous and scared expression. I didn’t have the heart
What kind of person Catherine was and whether the Coleman family could accept her were their family matter. But sometimes Catherine insisted on dragging me into the mess, which I found repugnant.
"Eliana, come here." Lisa beckoned me with a serious face, leading me to the bedroom, leaving Silas in the living room with the kids.
In the bedroom, Lisa took my hand and said seriously, "Eliana, you don’t need to hide anything from us. You know, whether it was in the past or now, I have always opposed Catherine and Damon being together. But we couldn’t do anything because of Leo."
"Lisa, can’t you accept her at all?" I asked, somewhat confused.
"No, it’s not just her background. It’s mainly her character. The fake death incident made me realize that this girl is too cruel and tricky. And hiring people to pretend to be sick, and the way she disciplines Leo – I don’t approve of any of it!" Lisa didn’t hide her disdain for Catherine.
Lisa was born into a prestigious family and always valued character and conduct highly, so Catherine had been using the wrong methods from the start.
Seeing that I remained silent, Lisa gently shook my arm. Her eyes were filled with nth and determination, which reassured me.
Compared to my mother’s attitude towards me now, I seemed to see my mother in Lisa.
"Lisa, I hope you’ll believe what I’m about to tell you." I took a deep breath and decide tell her everything. After all, not telling didn’t make a difference, as Catherine would still target me.
I told Lisa everything in detail, from my suspicion that Catherine had tried to harm me underwater to the fact that Leo had been used by her. Lisa’s face gradually turned angry and embarrassed as she listened. After all, Catherine was her son’s current girlfriend.
Although they weren’t married, they had a child together, and the outside world had pretty much confirmed that Catherine would be the future Mrs. Coleman.
I played the conversation I had with Leo earlier for Lisa as evidence.
Lisa loved Leo very much and she had always been afraid that Catherine would corrupt him. When she heard the truth, she was so angry that she trembled.
"That venomous woman!" Lisa’s chest heaved dramatically, and her face turned red, looking furious.
I immediately patted Lisa’s back to help her calm down. "Lisa, don’t get too worked up. What’s done is done. You should think about how to save Leo now. If this continues, it will ruin him."
The only one I felt sorry for was Leo. He had such a radical and scheming mother who used him as a tool.
Children are innocent.
And I couldn’t understand why Catherine would treat her own child so cruelly.
"How can I not get worked up? You should know that I gave her a chance only for the sake of the child. But I didn’t expect her to be so cruel to Leo. I knew those bad habits of Leo’s had to come from somewhere!" Lisa patted her chest, feeling like she was going to faint if she got any angrier.
Before I could say anything, Lisa took out her phone and called Damon. Without saying much, she ordered him to come over immediately.
While waiting for Damon, Lisa called Silas in and repeated everything I had just told her.
Silas had been a titan in the business world for years, a man of influence and power, never imagining he would almost stumble so badly over this issue!
His face was ashen, not uttering a single word
I was quietly sitting at the side, allowing them to process their emotions at this moment.
About half an hour later, Damon arrived. His arm was freshly bandaged, and I could tell the knot in the bandage was different. The room was thick with tension, and he sensed it immediately, his voice heavy, "What’s going on?"
"Damon, if you still consider me your mother, drive Catherine away right now. I only want Leo, not that woman as my daughter-in-law!" Lisa’s emotions surged, her words filled with disdain for Catherine.
