Chapter 404: Chapter 402: How Does He Not Recognize Us?
"When I was working abroad, he hit me with his sports car. I wasn’t dead initially, but he didn’t stop the car and continued driving, dragging me along until I finally died on the road."
After this incident, Lu Zhiheng gave her family a large sum of money.
They were all from Hua Country, and her father had taken her and her family abroad to work for a better life, but the living conditions overseas were not good.
After the incident, the Lu Family gave her relatives a large sum of money. This money could improve their family’s living conditions, and she still had a younger brother who needed to go to university.
So, her family did not pursue the matter of Lu Zhiheng killing her any further.
The woman hadn’t expected that after her death, her family would not seek justice for her.
She felt aggrieved, and her soul followed Lu Zhiheng.
Unfortunately, her soul had no effect on Lu Zhiheng.
"Do you want to seek revenge?"
The ghost looked fearfully at the man sitting on the couch, "How can I take revenge? I can’t touch him."
"What if you could touch him?"
Chu Yan smiled ambiguously and stood up from the couch.
His cold, slender fingers touched the ghost’s forehead.
The ghost felt a comfortable power enveloping her, and her calm eyes gradually started to show a crimson bloodlight.
"You can now possess other people."
Chu Yan withdrew his hand and said indifferently, "As for how to take revenge, that’s up to you."
The ghost looked down at her hands, feeling a surge of power throughout her body.
The resentment she had before her death gradually filled her mind; she desperately wanted to tear Lu Zhiheng apart!
"Tha-thank you!"
The ghost said excitedly.
She passed through the walls of the private room and entered the neighboring one.
In the lively music, excited people were still dancing and partying.
Lu Zhiheng sat at the very back of the room, flanked by two beautiful girls, arm in arm.
Other wealthy heirs from Imperial City were playing games and flirting with women.
I don’t know what they were playing.
It seemed Lu Zhiheng lost, and he picked up a bottle of liquor next to him to force on one of the women.
"Mr. Lu, I—I can’t drink anymore!"
The woman pleaded with him.
"Just this bit of alcohol, and you can’t drink?"
Lu Zhiheng pinched her face, forcing more liquor down her throat.
The movement was too harsh, and the woman choked, beginning to struggle.
In the struggle, she knocked over the liquor bottle in Lu Zhiheng’s hand.
"Useless!"
Lu Zhiheng instantly felt annoyed, slapping her.
The woman fell to her knees, tears brimming in her eyes, and she dared not speak.
Seeing this scene, the ghost drifted over and possessed the woman.
Reclaiming a body, she felt a bit unfamiliar.
She looked down at the delicate hands, a sinister smile appearing on the woman’s face.
She grabbed a shard of the broken bottle from the ground and stabbed it toward Lu Zhiheng, shouting, "Lu Zhiheng, go to hell!"
"Ah! Murder!"
The cries of the crowd erupted, even overpowering the music.
Curious people from afar looked toward the commotion.
They saw a woman pouncing on Lu Zhiheng, her hand gripping a shard of glass, repeatedly stabbing it into Lu Zhiheng’s neck, with blood spurting continuously.
The woman was covered in blood, her eyes filled with ferocity, like an evil ghost from hell.
"Ahhhh!"
Another round of screams.
People closest to the door hurriedly opened it and rushed out.
Lu Zhiheng’s cronies and the accompanying women frantically moved away from him, fearing the woman might stab them, showing no intention of stopping her.
Lu Zhiheng’s body slumped on the couch, his neck horribly punctured, his head nearly detaching.
Within just a few seconds of the ghost’s action, Lu Zhiheng was dead.
"Heh heh heh."
The room emptied, the ghost looked at the corpse and laughed.
"Bitch! You dare kill me?"
Lu Zhiheng’s soul floated out from his body, glaring venomously at the woman beside him.
He lunged at her, trying to strangle her to death.
However, before he could touch the woman, his soul passed right through her body.
"It was you who killed!"
A ghost flew out of the woman’s body, excitedly lunging at him, aiming to devour Zhiheng’s soul.
Before she could reach Zhiheng, a strange force dragged them both out of the private room and into the neighboring one.
"Chu Yan? What are you doing here?"
Zhiheng was astonished to see Chu Yan.
"I came looking for you."
Chu Yan looked up, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
Zhiheng paused, then slowly drifted over, trying to touch Chu Yan, but passing right through him.
"Am I not dead? Can Chu Yan see me?"
He looked down at his hands, unable to help talking to himself.
"Yes."
A cold voice resolved his doubts.
Zhiheng suddenly looked up, his eyes filled with fear.
"You, why can you see ghosts? Did my death have something to do with you!"
Chu Yan chuckled lightly, but instead of answering his question, he summoned the Underworld officials using the Yin Summoning Spell.
Indeed, Black and White Impermanence were summoned again.
Black and White Impermanence had been outside capturing a Ghost King, but they suddenly appeared here.
"What’s the matter?"
"Damn, I almost caught that Ghost King!"
"Which asshole summoned us?"
Both ghosts were confused as they looked at each other, until they saw Chu Yan sitting on the couch, their hearts skipped a beat, almost kneeling before him.
Black Impermanence covered his mouth; he was the one who had just cursed Chu Yan.
Now lowering his head, he dared not make a sound anymore.
White Impermanence carefully asked, "Your Highness, what do you need us for?"
"Deal with these two."
Seeing Black and White Impermanence, Zhiheng’s entire ghost was stupefied.
He tried to float away, but White Impermanence flicked the soul-locking chain, yanking him back.
"Chu Yan! Was it you who ordered someone to kill me! I won’t let you go!"
Zhiheng glared at Chu Yan with hatred, continuing his threats, " You wait and see, I’ll haunt you every day, and sooner or later I’ll kill you!"
"Who are you going to kill?"
Black Impermanence saw his chance to show off, grabbing Zhiheng’s soul and beating him severely.
"Underworld has its rules, ghosts must follow law and order. You’re not a good ghost, wanting to harm others? Better stay in hell from now on!"
"Woo woo woo!"
Zhiheng was beaten into a mess, unable to utter complete sentences.
Only then did Black Impermanence dare to look at Chu Yan, sheepishly asking, "Your Highness, is there anything else we can help with?"
Chu Yan frowned a bit, "Why do you call me that?"
Black and White Impermanence exchanged a look, finally realizing he might not recognize them.
"Uh, it’s just our way of addressing powerful individuals."
Chu Yan checked the time, it was past five in the afternoon, he needed to go home to cook.
"Understood, you can leave now."
With those words, his figure vanished from the spot.
"..."
Black and White Impermanence summoned an ordinary Netherworld Envoy to take the two ghosts back to the Underworld.
The faces of the two ghosts were full of gossip and curiosity.
"Why doesn’t King Chujiang recognize us?"
"No idea."
"What’s he doing in the Mortal World? Didn’t the Emperor say he was in seclusion?"
"No idea."
"What’s his relationship with that woman from earlier?"
"No idea."
"Lao Bai, are you freaking asking for a beating?"
White Impermanence helplessly said, "I really don’t know!"
Black Impermanence stroked his chin, "Should we follow him and see?"
"That’s a possibility!"
